Negatives about CLX?

I have nothing substantially negative to say about this program. I can tell you that if you want to work hard and push yourself beyond what you thought you were capable, end up in a sweaty puddle, and be done in about 30 minutes then CLX is for you. ;)
 
Someone else posted that they didn't like Chalene's outfits or the fact that she didn't do all the reps. Didn't bother me. I'm with Beavs. Sweaty puddle - YES!
 
ITA with Beavs and Robin. CLX rocks! Don't let the length of the work outs fool you. If you are pushing yourself as you should be then you WILL be a tired, sweaty mess when you are done!:D

PS: I think Chalene's outfits are adorable and the fact that she doesn't do all of the reps to talk about the form, etc of the cast members is sooooo not an issue for me.
 
The moves really irritated an already irritated sciatic issue more. I stopped inthe 6th week, switched to STS after about 4 days rest, and have not had anymore flare ups. I hope to try again after STS and see if it was just bad timing on my part, or if it really has bad moves for sciatic issues.

I also prefer longer work-outs, but the nice thing about the length is it is easy to tack on something else, like a nice run, or bike or swim.

I do prefer STS over CLX, but CLX is not bad.
 
I am only on week 2, so take it for what its worth. I highly dislike compound moves. I'd much rather do upper body, or lower body, but not both at the same time! I am really missing my cathe workouts, but I feel like this is a great workout. But, since i'm only on week 2, I can't say much about results. I did gain 5 pounds my first week...and that was with a good diet!

The only thing I don't like is that every WU is almost exactly the same. Other than that I loved this set. It worked me out to the maximum extent in the shortest amount of time. It is different and you have to learn how to do some of the lifting with correct form, kind of like rubbing your belly and patting your head, but it's a unique lifting program. It's not Cathe so comparing it to Cathe would be like comparing it to apples and oranges. If you do a search on www.videofitness.com you will find many threads listing pro's, con's, and why people loved it or didn't like it.
 
I tried CLX but returned it. I couldn't stand how Chalene would be doing reps without following a musical beat, even though music was playing! And, I don't like it when instructors walk around a room correcting form and abandoning the workout. Very distracting! Go with STS! FAR BETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have nothing but praise for Chalene and CLX. As far as the outfits are concerned, who cares? I thought I looked very HOT in my Dance France thong leotard and leg warmers, back in the 80's. Chalene herself says that she is going to "regret these boots in 5 years." It's a great series and I am totally spoiled with the shorter length of the workouts.
