Need to lose fast

Cathe:
I've been doing this routine for the past six months:
Monday: Max. Int. Strength
Tuesday: Interval Max
Wednesday: P.S. Legs and Abs
Thursday: Max. Int. Cardio or PowerMax or run (8miles)
Friday: Body Max
Sat: off
Sunday: Run or Cardio Tape or Climb Mountain

I seem to be getting nowhere else however. I don't want to increase the weight I'm using or I'll get too bulked up and can't afford to increase the time I already spend exercising, however, I want to get leaner and meaner quickly. My diet doesn't have much room to reduce more either. Would switching to your circuit max tapes for a few weeks show results? Would just switching to a different routine help? I need to lose and tone.
Thanks

First of all, you need to completely change your routine every 4 to 6 weeks because your body adapts to the work you do and you do see a slowdown in results. If you have enough videos, put together new rotations every month or so.

Second, you are probably eating too little and it's causing your metabolism to slow down and go into storage mode. You need to be eating something every few hours, so you end up with 5 or 6 small meals per day, rather than the usual 3 square meals idea or worse yet, less than that. I use a fire analogy; you need to keep throwing small amounts of wood and kindling onto a fire to keep it burning strong. If you just throw one or two big logs in every once in a while, you'll smother the flame. Your metabolism works the exact same way. Feed it a little bit every few hours and it will quickly burn up that fuel, rather than storing it as fat. You might know all this already, and maybe you are eating enough, but it's just an idea for why you aren't seeing enough results for your hard work.

But your initial rotation sounded really good, you had variety and strength training along with adequate cardio. My guess is your body is just used to it after all that time. They're efficient vessels that way, they adapt to be able to use the least energy and effort, a survival instinct, so you have to just keep on confusing the muscles. If you can, put together a new rotation with all new workouts, or vary them somehow. Maybe do the upper body work of Bodymax BEFORE the cardio, even changes like that can shock your body out of a plateau.

Take care.
