Need to have my routine reviewed.

Went to the doctor today over a foot problem and I have to slightly change my routine. I was gradually starting some low impact cardio with little pain, but probably not good for me either. The doctor told me to rest my foot as much as possible and No! exercising, at least requiring my foot.So I am stuck still with doing upper body, floor legs, and abs. I have to cut out stretching because it is not the best thing at this time.

Here is what I have made out. I am unsure about the days not doing weights. I feel I am doing too little. I am someone who has to do alot in order to feel I've had a productive workout.

Mon: pub,also another abworkout.
Tue: L&G floor plus ps.legs floor and abs.
Wed: Ab marathon, three ab workouts.
Thu: Yoga abs
Fri: pub
Sat: L&G plus ps.legs floor and abs.
Sun: Abs of some sort.

This is roughly what I have. I have been doing pub for a while, but now I have to remove stretching and any cardio. But the weights I'm happy with.I also can't do any floor legs with the ball. Help me with those other days.

Sorry for babbling on, I just want to give as much information to help.

Help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Kim--I can't give you much workout advice but I feel your pain--I'm suffering through the same thing right now. I dropped a weight on my foot & I did try my normal leg routine & Low Max after about a week, & I think it was a little too soon b/c my foot was pretty sore after. So Low Max once is the only cardio I've done in almost 2 weeks.

There are some options if you have a gym membership. Arc trainers, steppers & ellipticals are low impact (I'm just too lazy to get up early enough to go). I'm switching my leg routine to extensions & ham curls only with a little floor work for glutes. It's been rough since legs is my most fun & intense workout.

Sorry I couldn't be more help, but wanted you to know you're not alone. :)

Hey maximus,

I am so sorry about your foot, my mouth dropped open when I heard when I heard what happened. It is so good that you are getting back to exercising. I went Yikes! when I are your accident. Good luck to you.
