Cathlete
I have been doing Weight Watchers faithfully for 3 weeks. I have followed Cathe's rotations the whole time faithfully. Yes, I have consumed all my water. I have limited starches and sweets. I HAVE LOST NOTHING!!!!

116 is the mid range for where I need to be. I weigh 126!! I am not FAT but I could lose a few for sure.

What is going on???? Any input would be great!

Thanks in advance.

Maybe you need to add more food. Do you eat all your AP? I say Cathe's excerise is worth at least 6 AP or more.

This may seem weird to you but I have noticed that my weight will increase when the weather is changing (between seasons). It may be that you are in fact losing a few pounds but due to water fluctuations, it isn't showing up. I know how frustrating this can be but hang in there. Could it possibly be muscle gain? Are you noticing a difference in how your clothes fit. I wish I could give you a "better" answer, but it sounds like you are doing everything right. Keep up the good work!

Chances are -- and this is only based on my experience -- that you could actually be losing fat but the scale doesn't reflect it.

When I first started Cathe, I was 103 lbs. and a size 4, good enough for my height of a very small 5'1". I don't need to lose weight but could definitely use some muscle. Now, three months later I am 105 lbs. and still a size 4. My clothes though, now hanging from my body when they used to fit snugly. I lost 2 inches from my waist and 1.5 inches from my hips. And yet I gained 2 lbs. Could be all this water I'm drinking. Could be muscle gain. I hope! :)

My point is, the scale really isn't an accurate way to measure fat loss. I read somewhere that you could be within your required weight range and still have a higher percentage of body fat than you think. So yes, gauge your progress from how your clothes fit. Sometimes numbers can be misleading.

Hi there. Early May I weighed 125lbs and after 6 weeks I weighed 117lbs - In fact I still do! I stopped eating bread and that was it! Everything else in my diet has stayed exactly the same. At lunch time instead of eating a sandwich I'll eat about 3 or 4 chicken drumsticks instead. Everything else in my diet is exactly the same. I eat sweets, chocolate, fries, steak...all the usual goodies in fact. I read that bread and flour (BTW, I'm not a fan of cakes or cookies so they've never featured in my diet really) aren't good for the wasitline and for me, I have to agree. Try cutting out the bread, it might work for you too! Good luck!!

Hang in there - your "whoosh" day is around the corner.

"Whoosh" day: the day when you suddenly notice that your muscles are more defined, that you've lost that layer of fat.

For me, this happens at about 6-8 weeks of consistent exercise/diet. At first, even tho I don't see any change on the scale, or even the tape measure, I can suck in my gut further :D I take this to mean that I am losing fat from the inside out.

We've got fat inside close to our muscles as well as outside, toward our skin - does that make sense.

I started doing WW's about 3 weeks ago. I have about 10 lbs. to lose. I have lost about 3 lbs. in 3 weeks. I usually have about 2-3 Flex Points left per week, and I also eat all of my AP every day. Sometimes I have 1 or 2 left, but not usually. I have lost about 1 lb. per week, which is fine with me. I am feeding my body, not starving, and squeezing in a treat every day. Maybe you are not eating enough??

Thank you so much for the input. I will wait for my Woosh day and keep plugging along for another 3 weeks. Maybe 6 weeks is the time it will show up.

I will eat a bit more too.

It is so nice to have a group to talk to and get help!!
