hello everyone,

My name is Ki. I just joined the forums on yesterday. I was really pumped to have come across what seems to be such an awesome support base. My dilemma is this: While I love Cathe and what she adds to my fitness level, I find that her dvd's are quite expensive. I have recently re-evaluated what is important in my life and fitness/health is on my top 5 list. At this point, I cannot afford to get all of the dvd's at the same time (the new dvd's are what I am wanting to get) Can anyone offer some suggestions on how to spend wisely and maybe some suggestions on what dvd i should get first out of this new hardcore series? I have only ordered one of her dvds thus far and that is the advanced dvd. I would really appreciate some feed back:)

If I were limited to one DVD out of the upcoming Hard Core series, knowing what I know I would pick "The 11th Disc", the Hard Core Bonus disc in which she fuses together footage from all of the 10 workouts into new and glorious bundles. That way, you could get a great sampling of her cardio AND her weight-lifting sequences, in three full workouts. And remember that the way these are usually chaptered you can scoot among chapters among all three workouts and tailor things to your current needs.

If I were limited to TWO dvd's at this point, I'd suggest either the Timesaver 5-workout DVD from the Body Blast Series, or the Terminator DVD from the Intensity series, for the same reasons noted above.

Just a (bald) head's up: now that you're aware of the forums, keep current with when Cathe is launching a new production series. The initial presale prices are absolutely rock bottom (I always feel guilty getting 'em that cheap, and I always order The Full Monty on the first presale day), and as a fellow careful spender I think that's something worth saving for.

Hard question.Another good suggestion (although it is a little older and more expensive) is the CTX DVD.Alot of people have had success with these workouts and it gives you a taste of what Cathe as to offer.
Like A-Jock said, that Terminator DVD is also a good one.
Another easy suggestion is whenever you have a b-day or christmas ask for a workout. Its something you want and you don't have to pay for it:)

thanks for responding, i will definately take your advice; actually i have an anniversary coming up

I'd probably pick CTX over the Timesaver DVD, even though it's much more expensive. I think you get so much more from CTX than from Timesaver. Timesaver will give you an intro to the Body Blast Series, but if you do ever get the Body Blast Series, you might find that you don't really need Timesaver. CTX gives you a bunch a different cardio workouts, a leg workout and an upper body workout. You can mix and match pieces of each one to make the workouts longer, or you can just go with the workout as is.

I agree with Shelbygirl. Timesaver and Terminator are both compilations.

Not that there's anything wrong with that,A-J!!:p

My suggestion would be the MIS (Max. Intensity Strength), Power Hour, and Body Max DVD. Even though it is "old," you get so much bang for your buck with these. It is called Power Hour+.

They are all together on one DVD and so easy to combine/shorten and make a rotation with. In this one DVD there are three cardio sections (all on Body Max), three lower body sections (one is the circuit cardio on Body Max, one in MIS, one in Power Hour), three upper body strength segments, and lots of variation.

No med balls or Swiss balls are required so you can meter your spending. As the months go by you can order more of the workouts that came before all the newer equipment and keep yourself busy and challenged with novelty for about two years. This is assuming that you haven't bought these items yet. It all adds up. Cathe has a lot of super challenging videos that require only weights and a full-sized step.

Finally you can buy a mini-step to use with Pure Strength (another great one) and then use it for all the newer vids that require it. And, a Swiss ball or stability ball (same thing) and the Intensity series. And a medicine ball. And Body Blast.

Just put patience high on your priority listand you will have all the Cathe workout enjoyment you need for years to come, while staying in the black!

If you could only get one system I'd go for the Intensity series.

It's awsome - you don't need to get the Termintor DVD. The workouts and pre-mixes on this will keep you challenged and in shape for quite a while.

I've had them since they came out and I think I do these workouts the most.
