I have been on a fitness plateau for awhile, though working out pretty intensively. I want to try some Cathe tapes - please give me some ideas. I am 40, an intermediate/advanced exercisor but still needing to lose fat in the hips/thighs. I feel I need intense cardio, but I need to be careful with my knees. Are there some good cardio intense/low impact tapes? Are there high impact tapes that show low impact alternatives? I'd really like to try Interval Max if it can be modified. Feedback, please!

Low Impact and Vigorous

I have the same problem and I know what you mean. There aren't a lot of vigorous low impact tapes out there. Charlene Prickett has three that are quite good. Low Impact, High Intensity, Start Your Engines, and Oxygen In, Calories Out. However the choreography is not stimulating. That's the drawback.

Cathe's tapes can be modified only up to a point because she does so many twists and turns in her tapes. Many have asked her to do a lower impact tape and I hope she will consider it in the future.

Bad Knees

I have problems with my knees also and I have all of Cathes tapes. I just modify the moves that bother my knees. There are some moves in Interval Max that can be hard on the knees but they are easy to modify and I still get my heart up there. It is really hard to say what will work for you or not because you only know what your knees can take.
