Need help in creating rotation

Hi,

Well, today is my first day joining this forum.

I have been exercising for the last three months and seriously for the last three weeks, and I don't eat a lot of fattening food. However, I have lost only 5 - 6 lbs, and I'm getting frustrated. I think I have reached a plateau, so I need to change my routine. Thus, I need a lot of help from all those Cathe fans in creating a rotation.

This is my current typical week workout schedule:
Day 1 - Noon: MIS lower body; Afternoon: Power Max
Day 2 - Noon: K. Smith Timesaver upper body; Afternoon: Cardio Kicks
Day 3 - Noon: MIS lower body; Afternoon: Step Jam
Day 4 - Noon: KS upper body; Afternoon: Cardio Kicks
Day 5 - Afternoon: Power Max
Day 6 - Circuit Max
Day 7 - Rest

Do you think my current rotation is effective? If not, please help me to create an effective rotation for maximum weight loss.

I'm considering buy the folling items:
Aaron Lankford Power Kicks.
Firm Crosstrainer Cardio
Cathe New Intensities DVD 1 and 2.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions. Sorry for the long post.

Looks like a tough rotation and a little heavy on the cardio. Is there a reason you do not do MIS in its entirety? If not, then personally I think if you have been doing that rotation for a while you need to spice things up with more weights less cardio. With the tapes you mention having, maybe try something like:

Day 1: MIS
Day 2: Power Max or Step Jam
Day 3: Circuit Max and KS Upper Body
Day 4: Yoga (at least 45 min)
Day 5: MIS
Day 6: Cardio Kicks
Day 7: MIS or all of KS Time Saver LWLW

That would give you 3 total body weight days, 3 cardio days, 1 good stretch day (rest), and a little extra upper body with the punches in CK and the KS upper body.

Food for thought... good luck.
Nancy :)

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion. BTW, IMHO, KS LWLW lower body is easy and I don't think I'll achieve effective strength training. I do a lot of cardio because "experts" said that cardio is the best way to burn fat. Are they wrong?

It's hard for me to workout at home because my older son (2 1/2 years old) is very active and gets in the way. He wants to exercise with me and picks up the weight. I'm afraid of dropping the weights on him or that he might pick up the weights that are too heavy for him. As a result, I try to squeeze my strenth training during my lunch time (45 minutes) at work. I timed MIS upper body portion, and it took more than 45 minutes. That's why I haven't done MIS upper body.

Do you think I can handle Cathe PLB and PUB?

Hi,
I just wanted to point out that if you did this rotation more than one week in a row, you'd be doing MIS two days in a row (day 7, then day 1). Oops?

Hi

The "experts" are not wrong, however they also say that more muscle buns more fat. So, in light of that... I am a firm believer in weight training. Also, if your rotation has consisted of a lot of cardio for a while you may want to try a rotation based more on strength for a while and then switch back to cardio.

Yes, you could handle PLB and PUB. Both are great strength tapes! Also, maybe you could do half of MIS upperbody one day and the other half the next? Just a thought...

Good luck.

Nancy
