Need help deciding on first video

I tried to post this message earlier but it never showed up :-(

If it ends up posting twice - I apologize but I guess I'm impatient LOL.

I need help deciding between three Cathe videos for my first purchase. I consider myself an intermediate exerciser who would like to become more advanced so here are the videos I'm looking at: 1) Basic Step & Body Fusion (looks like a good introductory tape, but maybe not challenging enough?); 2) Body Blast Timesaver - this one looks like a good idea since it gives you five workouts that are reasonable in length; or 3) Body Blast Volume I - which looks like fun music, etc. but the workouts are a little long in length and I'm concerned about having enough time to do them on a regular basis. I am planning to rotate these in with an existing Firm collection I have.

Any thoughts?

TIA

Hello and welcome! Are you new to step aerobics? If you are, I would suggest the Basic Step/Body Fusion workout.

If you have done step before and are familiar with the basic moves, I would suggest Body Blast Volume 1. Then you would have more workout options and something to "grow" into as your ability advances.

And believe me, your abilities will advance with Cathe. If you are like a lot of us, it won't be long till your Firms are gathering dust!

LOL and enjoy! :D

Thanks for your response. I'm not new to step, but it's been a while since I've done any complex routines. The Body Blast Volume 1 does look good but the timesaver one appeals to me with several shorter workouts. I watched a portion of the basic step/body fusion and it seems a little less challenging than what I'm used to, but then again the variety offered looks good.

Welcome!!!!

I agree with Renee if you are new to step that the Basic Step/Body Fusion DVD would be a good choice. If not Timesaver or Body Blast volume 1 would be good. Timesaver has some extra footage with weights and abs that I like and the workouts are not too long. Plus segments of Kick, Punch and Crunch (kickboxing), and a killer leg workout from Legs and Glutes, besides the segments from bothe workout on Body Blast Volume 1...You can mix them up a bit with the Workout Blender on the DVD. Body Blast volume 1 has Step Blast & Step, Pump & Jump...which are 2 very good workouts. There are also premixes on this DVD so you can mix things up. I feel Timesaver has the most variety....Hope this helps some...:)...Carole
