Need Encouragement!

I need some encouragement please. I used to be able to resist off-limits food so easily and I just can't anymore! It's so frustrating. I used to weigh 20 lbs. less, which actually was too skinny for me, but I do need probably to lose 10 lbs. right now. All of my clothes from last summer are way too tight (nasty bulge slopping over the top!) and it just about has me in tears.

The whole last month it seems like every night I say to myself "okay, I am going to eat so healthy tomorrow - high protein, no simple carbs, lots of produce." Well, with a DH and 2 girls that LOVE simple carbs it is so easy to slip here and there and before I know it here and there becomes all the time. It shouldn't be so hard for me. I know how to eat healthy and I know what works for me so why can't I just do it?! I think maybe I just need to admit it and get busy! Please send along any encouragement...

I'm listening to my laptop play High Step Challenge right now which I am going to do as soon as I get my girls to bed tonight. Wish me luck!

What would be the best type of rotation for me at this point? I would consider myself an advanced exerciser...I love all of Cathe's cardios and I also love to lift weights. The bummer thing is that we're going on vacation next week and I'm scared, no petrified, that any will power I muster up in the next week is going to be totally lost for the 10 days of vacation.

Sorry if my thougts seem disorganized. This is such a crazy time for us personally right now and I think I've been dealing with it with food.

Boy, it helps just "vocalizing" all of this! Time to get busy!
 
nutrition seems to be the hardest part for most people. perhaps you are trying to be to perfect with your diet and to strict when you decide to get back on the wagon. you can arrange you cals so there is room for a treat everyday and this may make you not feel so tempted. its all a mindset though. you just say i'm going to do it and do. i know this isn't really that good of advice but i know for me the more i focus on what i can't have the more i want it. which is why either daily cheats or a cheat meal each week is beneficial. you have them to look forward to. as far as rotations, i'm not much help to you. i do what i feel like doing and by weeks end i make sure i have done 3 days of weights and 3 days of cardio. when you go on vacation just try and stay active with your family and make the best choices available to you for food. bring healthy snacks from home in your suitcase so you never get over hungry. what is your diet like during the times you are eating well? mabe your not eating enough and thats why your getting your cravings. hope this helped some.
 
When I get in an eating rut, I make myself start journaling again. Seeing what I'm eating seems to help. Before you eat a certain food, ask yourself do you really need this. I've also heard if you write down the food before you eat them, you can steer away from some of the not so healthy foods because you don't want to write it down.

Why not come join us over at "clean eating" in the challenge section? We have all just gone through a hellish type week with PMS, periods and everything else!:)

It might help keep you accountable or at least you will have to write down everything you eat, it helps me so much, I have a wicked sweet tooth! Seriously, check it out, the gals are great.:)
