Need advice on sheets!

I have this awesome set of Eddie Bauer sheets in ivory, bought them years ago & now they're so soft & comfy, but of course they're ivory & I have 2 dogs so they're in need of serious replacement.

Eddie Bauer doesn't sell sheets anymore & I'm having a really hard time finding some with a high thread count that aren't sateen. I hate sateen--I don't like crisp sheets, I like soft sheets.

Bed Bath & Beyond has a set online that's 1000 count, but they only come in ivory & for the obvious reasons I'm trying to steer away from white this time around. Any suggestions?

Lands' End also has nice sheets. If you want luxury try The Giving Tree. They have a website. I've never ordered from them but I'm thinking about it. They're kind of expensive but I'm at a point in my life now where I feel I deserve to splurge a little.

I wouldn't get "too" hung up on thread count it can be tricky...besides feeling the sheets before I buy them, I make sure they are good Egyptian cotton and check out the ply on the yarn;-). I bought my last soft set (I don't like crisp, hard ones either) at the Great Indoors. Although they were a bit expensive, I felt they were well worth it since you do spend quite a bit of your life in bed. We all deserve to be comfy!!

I like Croscill bedding and bath items. Not quite sure about the thread count, but do know that the quality is great.

If you want high thread count try The Company Store in LaCrosse Wisconsin. Thats where I have gotten all my bedding for years. They have wonderfully soft sheets. www.thecompanystore.com
I noticed that they recently included 1000 (yes 1000) thread count sateen sheets in their inventory.
Hope this helps,
Suzanne
