Need a cellulite solution

Thanks Gals!!! I am so glad I am not alone. I haven't worn shorts in years and now I have bought a whole slew of them and have decided since I am fitter than ever I will enjoy my fitness. No I may never be a model but I can see the lean muscles in my legs and am proud of them. Another big achievement, I can see between my thighs, finally!!! So I will just go out there and know I am fitter than most out there, cellulite or not!!! I have been using the Avon cellulite cream for over a month now and it does seem a little better, although that could just be me hoping it is. I figured since the cream wasn't expensive it was worth my money. I know that it has gone down much over the past year and I am proud of my physical achievements!!! But it is ssssoooo comforting to know I am not alone. Another thing I haven't done in years is go to a waterpark. Well this summer I am going to strut my stuff and enjoy the water with arms open wide!!! Thanks for the emotional booster!!! For those who would be interested there is a book that Shape Magazine in March I think, did a whole cover story on. It's called No More Cellulite, by Wayne Westcott and Rita La Rosa Loud. It has very sound advice for working out, and meal plans. It has helped my perspective as well, and no it doesn't promise to rid of it completely, but is a very informative read. Well the best of luck for all of you and know you too are not alone!:)

Just to throw in 2 more cents.....I agree cellulite is plain old fat. Here is my situation.....I worked out fairly intense for several years and managed to get what most would call fairly lean, but my stubborn area also was tush/legs (and upper arms - which is what turned me on to weights - I decided if I can't seem to loose the weight in the arms, then I'll turn it into muscle). I would say that I sounded a lot like you Julie in that I was very fit, but just couldn't seem to get rid of that stubborn ripply fat no matter what I did. Then I ran into some medical problems that I won't go into, but it forced me to eat very low carbs (no breads, crackers, pastas), no sugar or any type, I had to live on salads, veggies, sugar free veggie protein shakes, etc. I was very irritated at times because I couldn't eat normal like that rest of the world....but wonder of all wonders, the fat came off from my tush and legs and everywhere else for that matter. I dropped to prepregnancy weight (I have 5 children) and then some (almost 5'3 and 100 pounds). I didn't think this could be done as I had tried for years to return to this weight, but this incredibly strict diet made me loose this.....so it can be done. But, keep this in mind....it's very hard to eat like this and you really need to judge whether it's worth those xtra few pounds. My condition has changed and I no longer have to eat so strict and immediately those 5 pounds came back on, but you know I really don't care. I'm a little happier being able to eat when I want to and I know I can balance this by eating clean almost all the time and cheating every so often now and if I want to drop weight for something special, I know what to do, but it takes "major" will power to do it? Just a few thoughts. Quality of life may have to be balanced with those last few pounds.

I'm all for the suggestion of getting some sunless tanning cream and pouring it on those legs as being tan definitely covers many imperfections!!!
