How did your DH and stepson do on the Five Boro Bike Tour? As you know, the weather started off a little hairy but we ended on a rather nice note in the afternoon! 
This was the first time that I had done it in *years* and it was a whole new experience for me with a little different route, many more riders and lots more guidance and volunteers. We had a good ride and I made it over the Verranzano! I was quite impressed b/c in past years, I couldn't make it over successfully. I had some trouble with my knee (long term injury that started with the Avon walk for Breast cancer a few years back) but I nursed it and I am fine today.
Another thing I wanted to ask was what the "big ride" is that you posted about (100 mile one)?? I haven't lived in the NJ/NY area for almost 9 years now but my family is still there and I would certainly make the trip if the event it worth it!
