Nan,

I know you had responded on one of my threads but wanted to start a new thread asking you how you are! How did the dr's appt go? Are you feeling better?

Heidi

I assume  I am fine, they haven't called me to tell me I'm dying yet. I had another blood draw on Sat, and one early next week. I don't go back to the Dr til the 30th. I feel fine, but I felt fine before I landed my butt in the hospital for 2 1/2 days, too. I was pretty tired for a day or 2, but there really is no sleeping/resting in the hospital. Every time I conked out, someone would wake me up to stick me with a needle or take my pulse or blood pressure, or ask me if I was feeling ok. Yeah, I was ok UNTIL YOU WOKE ME UP!!!!!!!

My stomach is still a little off kilter, a little heart burn-y. I called the Dr yesterday, and that is just going to have to heal on its own. I cut out the afternoon vat of coffee, much to the detriment of my coworkers. Haven't given up the morning coffee. That would probably be deadly to alot of people :p Still arguing w/ the insurance co (might as well talk to the wall) about paying for the Nexium.

Both Drs seem to think it may have just been a funky virus, which is why they want to give it a bit of time to see if the #s come back in line. If they don't then we need to figure out where to go from there. Everything else checked out just fine. I'm trying not to do too many internet searches, b/c that just has me one foot in the grave, which is not where I want to be. Family history of all sorts of nasty things on my dad's side, and a bit on my mom's, so I am a bit concerned, but nothing I can do about. Since the 1st round of everything else came back cleared, I am pretty certain I'm not going to die this week. So, I am waiting.

On the upside I went to a purse party the other night, and DH bought me a new pink purse bc I has been holed in the hospital for a few days. :) Came home Fri, I got back into a regular workout schedule Sat, with MMA kickbox and a s-l-o-w 4 mile run on Sun. Made me feel normal again.

I am feeling normal, and just waiting.
Thanks for asking!

Nan

Well, glad you are feeling more normal - and with a new purse to boot!;) Awesome!

Why won't insurance cover Nexium? That is some expensive shit! My insurance covers a significant amount but I still have to fork out $40/month. Getting old is getting expensive!

ANd,I really hear you on the hospital noisiness - it is so unnecessary and annoying! Don't you wake me up at 3:30 to draw blood and turn on all the lights - I turn into psycho bitch when that happens! Seriously.

Speaking of psycho bitch, I can't live without at LEAST my morning coffee. It's a must have. One large cup with half and half and my day is set. Good luck cutting back - don't kill anyone in the process, lol
