Nalgene Water Bottles May be Toxic

>Can you put the SIGG bottles in the freezer? I like my water
>really cold and I will either put my current water bottle in
>the freezer for an hour or so, or put ice cubes in it. It
>looks like the diameter of the SIGG bottle opening is too
>small for ice cubes.

Just reading this with a look of horror on my face as I have a cabinet FULL of nalgene bottles. So raced to www.rei.com to check out the SIGG bottles and noticed that they also sell a product called ICE TUBES for 5.25 which freezes ice in a tubular shape in order to fit into the bottle opening - yippeee. Thought I'd pass it on.....

I think I read something on snopes.com about some myths regarding plastics and toxicity. Maybe you can find something there...they usually (maybe always) use credible sources.
