my raking workout!

Just thought I'd let you know that it really is a workout! I wore my hrm today and here are the stats:

50 min raking (wet) leaves
350 cals (55% fat)
max hr: 142 (75%)
average hr: 127 (67%)
time in target hr zone (132-150): 15:30

I think I'll count this as my workout today!

Thank You so much Amy. It seems all I do is rake. My huge oaks haven't even dropped yet either. There are many many hours of work ahead. It has been to much for me to rake and workout this year, now I don't feel so bad. Your info made my day! Peggy
 
I just had to haul and stack a cord of fire wood, . . .and since I didn't know when they were going to deliver I ran 4 miles right before, . . not to mention I did butts and gutts last night. It took me 2 hours to stack and I can't feel my legs right now. I read somewhere that domestic house chores don't count as a workout. Hey, I beg to differ.
 
Well, I did the shovelling heavy wet snow workout today. I think I would prefer to rake the leaves ;)
 
:p My DH sweep the walk (we live on the corner) instead of using his blower thing. He came inside complaining about how much harder it was!!! Your stats must be right!!!! Good for you - nice workout!
 
Oh yea, raking leaves (and shoveling snow) are real workouts and I´ll be doing the former tomorrow. It seems that that´s all I´ve been doing the past couple of weeks. Don´t really mind it, though :)
