My Perfect Cathe Kickboxing Workout

Cathlete
I have Cardio Kicks (well had - dropped the tape and it broke *sighs*), Kick Max and just got KPC. I like them all (love KPC though!) - but the next time I do a kick box workout, I'm going to mix 'em up a bit -

KPC - warm up and Intensity Drills
KM - Blasts
KPC - Combinations
CK - drills (once I get the DVD!)
KM - stretch

Hi Christine, great idea.Someday I do the KPC punching and kicking premix and the power drills of CK. I love those power drills. I think you can use the kickbox premix of bootcamp or the kickbox of the CTX or the CTX kickbox segment in the other CTX workouts.

Mariángeles a spanish terminator and TAEBO junkie. :) :)

Are they similar to the CK drills? I'm dying to get Bootcamp (and others...) and if I can get the same results (CK's drills make my ribs and sides and back ache is a wonderful way!) with that, then I don't need to get CK again. I wish I could find a place that can take the video and put it on DVD. Just those drills...

Someone once posted a kickboxing combo that I LOVED!

I think it was:
KPC warm up
KPC combo 1
kickmax blasts 1-5
KPC combo 2
Kickmax blasts 6-10
KPC combo 3
KPC Cool down

I really liked it. IMO it was the best of both workouts and it really burned major calories!

That sounds fabulous too! I am so happy Cathe chapters everything so thoroughly. It makes mixing and matching so much easier!

I did this yesterday:

KM warm-up
KM combos
KPC combos
KPC abs
SJP abs
KM leg conditioning drills
KM stretch

Total time: 1 hour, 41 minutes. Total calories burned 744, 35% fat -- would've burned more had I not taken the impact out.

I was inspired by the KPC + PUB floor segment that Cathe put on this month's rotation.

I guess I could've done the leg conditioning drills before the ab work, but I was too lazy to keep switching DVDs.

That's another good one! I love her DVD's - the mixing and matching create an endless variety of workouts! Thanks for sharing Pinky!

I sometimes like the idea of ab work in the middle because it breaks things up and confuses the body.

Christine, thanks for mentioning body confusion. I totally forgot about that. I was actually worried that I made my legs rest too long. I'm SO used to working body parts to exhaustion, it's great to know I did something different this time.:)
