My ongoing success story

Hi everyone!

I've lost 55 lbs and I owe it to Weight Watchers and Cathe videos. I'm 34 and I've had a weight problem my whole life. I've been working at losing weight for a couple of years now. I started working out to other videos, but it's only been since I've been working out to Cathe that I've really gotten serious about fitness. I'm not athletic and I have asthma, but I keep doing the workouts and I'm working my way to being able to do more and more on her videos. My lung capacity isn't that great, I do all the step workouts on a 4" step, but I keep doing the workouts and am hoping I will improve. My favorites are Step Blast(I'm still trying to master combo #3), Rythmic Step, Low Impact Step, Pyramid Upper Body, and Legs and Glutes. My goal is to one day be able to do the IMAX's and boot camp without having to pause a hundred times to breathe! I have 25 more pounds to lose, but I will reach my goal with the help of Cathe. I actually look forward to exercising and when I'm at work I think, which workout should I do tonight, and sometimes can't decide because there are many that I want to do. That just wasn't me a couple of years ago. Losing weight and exercising has changed my life. I'm so much more confident now and I feel so much better. I look forward to being a part of these forums and talking to other people who are or were trying to lose weight, get in shape, and are obsessed with Cathe workouts!

Thanks for reading my story,
Amy

Well Amy if it makes you feel better im in pretty good shape and I still cant get through the Imax's with out modifying. And i've never had a problem with weight. I guess that will be my goal too :)

Wonderful Amy! You've already made all kinds of progress! Keep working at combo 3 - you'll get it! Congratulations! :)

I am glad to see your journey posted. I have done weigh down for five years. I lost 45 pounds but still have 40 pounds that I have not gotten off (I have been spinning my wheels with the 40 for four years now). I despise not getting to the end of this. What has motivated you past the first two weeks of weight watchers, which I started just today?

I too like the Cathe videos because there is always a milestone that I end up hitting. Now I want my body to follow and forget about it. God bless.

Hi Amy! What an inspiration. I've never used Cathe videos, but have ordered some. I have lost 26 lbs. and need to lose another 25. It's good to know which ones to use -- I'm not a beginner excersizer anymore, but I have read that Cathe's videos are tough!

Keep up with your continued success and thanks for being an inspiration!

Amy,
I too have asthma and I used to have asthma attacks every time I did any sort of excercise. Years ago my pulmonary specialist put me on the Flovent inhaler and I now have zero trouble with asthma when I work out. I never use the albuterol inhaler anymore, but I do have to take the flovent 2x/day. I thought I would share this with you, I don't know if you take med's for your asthma, but if not you might want to ask your doctor.

Thank you for your reply. I do take Advair and for a long time I never needed an albuterol inhaler, but then for a while I was getting really out of breath when I excercised, but lately it's been getting better. I just kept working out anyway and maybe that's what's made things better. I did Cathe's LIS on a 6" step the other day and wasn't any more out of breath than when I used to do it on a 4" step. So I must be improving. I still do everything else on the 4" step, but I think I will continue to improve. Thanks again for the advice.
