My new protein powder trick

I was making a shake with my protein powder yesterday and sort of pouting because I wanted it more chocolatey. So I added 1 tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa powder (15 cal) and some stevia and it was wonderful. I read recently that cocoa powder can help reduce inflammation in the body so I have been trying to figure out how to add it to my day. This is perfect!

Thanks for the tip. I recently bought some vanilla powder but have been craving chocolate (flo is about to visit) you're a life saver right about now, ya feel me!!
 
I admit that my suggestion is a bit more 'unclean' than cocoa powder, but when I'm making a chocolate smoothie with chocolate protein powder and almond milk, I add in 1T of f/f s/f chocolate pudding mixture (the dry powder). It helps make it a bit thicker AND chocolatey!

Thanks for the tip. Tried it earlier today, and it really boosted the chocolate factor in my protein shake. I'd been using chocolate syrup :)o). I'll stick with the cleaner alternative from here on out.
