My husband wants to try Cathe

He has decided he wants to do some workouts with me, starting with cardio. :) Our basement is such that he is too tall to do power moves on the step, so I was thinking about Cardio Kicks or possibly IMAX if he is game.

Any guys on the forum (Trevor?) have any input on what to try together? Or anyone else? He usually runs, and we've toyed with getting a treadmill, but probably not in the near future. I also have a couple of Gilad tapes gathering dust, so that's a possibility, too. I'll even take some non-Cathe suggestions (gasp!).

Rose,
I am a huge IMAX fan so I would suggest that although it's not for the absolute beginner. It's very high intensity. The moves are basic though which is good for someone like me who is not too good at the more advanced choreography. I also have Bodymax by the way.

Hi Rose
I am one of the other guys on the forum.I started with Cathe's weight tapes and liked them so much I became determined to master step etc...I have similar problems in my basement for high impact moves as I am 6ft tall.I collect many fitness tapes and I find the women trainers to be the best.I recommend Cardio Kicks .Imax and Mic (he may hit the roof)I love Boxing Body by Debbie Burns and her follow up(can't remember the name)I also love Jannis Saffell's kickboxing tapes. The intensity isn't that of a a cathe tape but I love them.I do like Gilad but he is so basic-I would suggest interval training for men -I aslo enjoy step & tone.I am also a Mindy fan & love Pump Party /strength express and her latest circuit one which uses the medecine ball.Once again he may run into difficulty with his height but these moves can be modified.I also recommend Kathy Smith's kickbox tape.I love it as well as Aerobox however a jump rope is used in the latter so this wouldn't work.
cheers
Ki
