My first EVER pedicure

Gayle just be careful because there are dangers with pedies. It's always best to to be the first one there so that the sink had time to properly dry out. Also ask the pedie tech what kind of disinfectant they use to clean out the sinks and drains.

One last thing buy your own supplies (files, etc) and bring them with you each time.

Enjoy.

i love pedi's. last night my fiance' was massageing my feet and commented that i need to get one. well ok, you don't have to tell me twice or twist my arm:p

Excellent advice. A reputable technician should actually have nail files for each client so that you don't have to worry about such things. I'm very fortunate to go to a friend who is very meticulous about such things. Thanks to her my feet are much happier (and prettier).

Okay, I must be weird. I've had 2 pedicures, and didn't really care for them at all. I mean, my feet looked really nice when it was all done. But it just wasn't a heavenly experience. I don't like the feeling of having my toenails filed, or my feet "sanded", or my cuticles trimmed. Don't like it at all. The only thing that makes it tolerable for me is that they serve wine while you're getting a pedi. Now THAT is heaven... ;)

Actually Emily, I'm with you on that. I don't like the process, other than catching up with my friend and having a beer in the pedicure chair. I just like the way my feet feel afterward and of course how they look.

Gayle,
I'm glad you enjoyed!!!! I love pedicures! Its a great way to pamper yourself.

Oh man I SO love getting a pedi--my favorite part is the foot massage. I have bad feet & spend most of my time if not in pain then at least in discomfort, & ANY kind of foot massage is heaven to me! :)

So Gayle, I take it you'll be making this a regular thing? ;-)

Rub my feet and I'll follow you anywhere... Pedicures are pure heaven for me. Plus they keep my feet from getting too callused from all of my activities.

I have to be honest...I didn't think that I'd like it at all. First, the cost is just incredible (this was a day spa and the pedi with the wax was $60 plus tip.....my best friend treated me as a thank you) and I couldn't imagine spending that kind of money on a regular basis!

BUT....

I was really in heaven. My feet are very ticklish but I didn't have a problem with that. Just something about that whole process, nothing in particular, just really hit me big time. Maybe it was sitting there chatting with my best friend. Maybe it was the wine (or the ice cream we treated ourselves to afterwards). Maybe it was just the simple fact that I did something for ME...for GAYLE the woman not Gayle the MOM. I don't know and I don't care....it was pure HEAVEN!

As for this being a regular treat? I may have to seriously consider it. I'm cheap....but I also LOVE treating ME!

Pedicures can be dangerous. Especially if they paint flowers on your toenails. You can bump your head on all kinds of things while staring down at your beautiful toes.

Oh girl, you just have to get regular pedicures, they are my lifesavers! I think of it as "beauty maintenance" not a luxury-at least that is what I tell my darling DH!;)

I love the foot rubs too, I looked around and found a cheap place, that is clean, I bring my own tools and they charge 25.00 for a pedi, 12.00 for a manicure and its soooo worth it. I have tried, but cannot do either very well on myself.:7

Gayle, can't wait to see the piggies!!!

I also love pedicures, in fact, have one on tap today!!! I wanted to wait until the last minute to get one so they look nice for the RT!!!

I go nuts over pedi's!

I get about 3 a summer - and would do more but they can get pricey!

But what a treat!!!!!

You go Gayle!
