My drive home today....

That is what it looks like here to. I was lucky today though because my boss let me work at home and I do not have to work at the restaurant tonight. Tomorrow morning is supposed to be yucky too though. Drive carefully!!!

Thanks! I'm gonna see if my boss will let me leave a bit early. Problem is, there's NOTHING happening by my office. A few flakes blowing around. That mess is closer to home.

Hey Shelly, Be careful. I hope you get to go home early. Drive carefully. Have a safe and good day.

Yuck! I hope you get to go home early...I certainly would. I'm such a chicken in that kind of weather. DRIVE SAFELY!
Brandi

Shelly - I know your pain, please be careful...it took me an hour to shovel out of my driveway & I have 4 wheel drive Jeep! I am leaving in an hour (2CST) & going home, I know it'll take me another hour to shovel back into my garage... then after 2 hours of shoveling today I am going to do B&G... was going to do leg blast premix but think i'll do the original since it is easier, I am already tired!

Please be careful, I can't believe we didn't close either, we are under a BLIZZARD WARNING until midnight! You can't see anything, it is all white!

I hope you get to leave early; like now! Drive carefully. The schools here have early dismissal while the roads are still good.

Jen, you be careful, too. You better post when you get home. I worry about my peeps! It's unbelievably nasty here, too.

Oh my, that is scary! Just take it slow & stay as far away from other drivers as you can.

I actually cancelled my gym plans for tonight b/c it's about 15 minutes away & I don't want to deal w/it. I've spent the last 2 days trying to figure out how I can get my bis/back routine done w/ exercise tubing, the coatrack mounted on my wall, my banister, my bodybars & some light handweights. I think I've got it all figured out.....:p

That darned lake effect snow eh Shelley....can be pretty harrowing. Slow and steady Girl, you will get there and we'll be here waiting for news of your safe arrival. Godspeed!

Take Care
Laurie

Okay, I made it home. Not without some drama though. I went to put my brakes on and my back end spun out and I fishtailed and went sideways. Yikes! Luckily nobody was close to me and I managed to straighten up okay. Now I'm home and I'm not budging!

Everyone else who has to drive in this, check in please!

Safe travels for all!!!

We are supposed to get 14 inches but it hasn't even started yet. However, the sky does look like a giant ball of white cotton.

Glad to know you got home a-okay Shelley. The fun begins for us this evening so I can't wait for the ride into work tomorrow. Whoo-hoo! (that was utter and complete sarcasm)

I am home too- shoveled the driveway twice today, each time taking an hour and looking out at it now, you can barely tell I did it the 2nd time. :-( They are saying by midnight tonight we could have up to 15inches of snow but what is making it worse is that the wind gusts are between 25-35 mph. x(

My driveway is horrible anyway and is like a suction for leaves, snow, etc... if my driveway looks like it did before I shoveled the 2nd time in the morning I will either be staying home all day or going in late!

Shelly- What are they saying for you guys? Do you have to work tomorrow?

Jen - our forecast sounds just the same as yours and I already told my boss that if we get the 20 inches expected, he won't see me tomorrow. They're good about that at my office, thankfully. I imagine I'll be spending the day shoveling.

Dorothy - we're having white out conditions and snow squalls here too. Sometimes I look out the window and it's just white.

Shelly- I am glad you can stay home if needed! My boss told all us also that if the office isn't closed & we don't feel safe driving in we can use a personal vacation day & stay home, so that is good! I am hoping though that after this today they will really think twice about having everyone drive in tomorrow-think of the liability they could have if someone was killed leaving work... i would assume there would be some? Maybe not?

Do you have a large driveway also? My driveway is really long, took about an hour each time I shoveled it today, my arms feel like jello. I still managed somehow to do B&G also... I will probably regret that tomorrow, especially if I have to do today all over tomorrow! x(
