My DIL's family

As you know, I have posted that my DIL's mother family are from New Orleans and there about. They have lost something more precious than personal property. One of DIL's aunt's daughters, her husband, and son were all three killed in the Hurricaine. From what I understand, they had taken refuge in a hotel in Mississippi. The hotel did not withstand during Katrina and they perished. Horrible beyond words. The child was 9.;( ;(
 
Jane this is a tragedy. My sincere condolences to the family. I will pray for them.

Oh, Jane, that's so awful. I'm so sorry that this tragedy affected your family. My thoughts are with you and your DIL's family. The whole thing is just depressingly devastating.

i'm so sorry for your loss.
I'm praying for your DIL family and yours.

I've been crying off and on for two days now. This is such a tragedy.
Loss of an entire family.... My maternal, female, sensitive side is so emotional.

Here i go again;( ;( tears...
 
Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. I just talked to her a little while ago and she is doing okay. She wants her mother so badly. Her mother, who usually lives in Tennessee, has been Lafayette, LA for a while now taking care of her brother who is disabled. Apparently they weathered the storm in Lafayette pretty well. Some of her father's family is down there too (she doesn't have much contact with them - broken home and she lived with her mother) and from what she has heard, they have all lost their homes.
She wants to go down there but has been told to stay put for now for good reason.
 
Oh Jane...this just breaks my heart. I wish I knew the right words to say. Please know you will all be in my thoughts and prayers.

Jane - How terrible! I am so sorry. This is a terrible hurricane. So may killed. It breaks my heart. You and your DIL are in my thoughts and prayers.
