That reminds me of when my grandfather lived with us. It was my birthday and g-pa was walking past the cake, read it (HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AMY), looked at me and asked, "Oh, when's your birthday?"
That is funny. Thanks for reminding me of my dearly departed gm who would send me and my sister cards with phrases/names crossed off in pen, and she would write her own. Melissa
I remember when my Great-grandma was alive and she would tape two quarters in the card and then would get upset if you didn't call her right away to say thank-you. What is a teenager supposed to buy with 50 cents? But at least it is something I can look back on now and laugh so I guess the 50 cents bought me a smile now.
