My challenge

Hi all,

The challenge I have is firming up the top
inner thigh area and the very top of the tricep where
it meets the underarm area. I am 45 years old and realize
how challenging the tricep flapping can be and most of that
area is toned but not the very top.

Any suggestions for specific exercises that you find
help these areas? I do have rather short arm and legs
and not sure if this contributes to it.

Hi!

There are many exercises for the dreaded tricep! :) Kickbacks, dips and overhead extentions are a couple you can try. As far as inner thighs go, I personally prefer the good old fashioned inner thigh leg lift! Add a little weight via ankle weights or a DB or med ball on your thigh if you are feeling really strong!}(

Hi Wendy,

Thanks for you suggestions.
I do most of those exercises already but maybe it is just going
to take a while to change these areas. I may try using the
Karen Voight DVD with the fitness cicrle a little more often.
It seems to hit the inner thighs a little differently.
I also recently started using cardio coach and legs and glutes
and can feel my legs getting stronger.

Hi Cindy.

I took up running and my legs are definately changing. I don't know if you run with the cardio coach but that should definately help your legs a bit!:)

Hi Wendy,

I use my nordic track for the cardio coach workouts.
It is the cross country ski machine and seems to be
making a difference in my legs already after about
3 weeks. Sometimes it is hard to be patient but if
I have learned one thing with exercise is that my body will
show changes on it own schedule, not mine!! It seems to have
it's own plan.
