My cat keeps peeing on my sofa!

She's the sweetest, most affectionate cat I've ever met. She's more like a dog than a cat--she follows me around the house, she begs for food more than any dog I've ever met, she's constantly rubbing up against me, purring, meowing & trying to get attention. She's definitely not a trouble maker, she really wants to please. I think part of this is my problem b/c I'm just not a cat person & have had trouble bonding w/her. That said, she has become part of the family & I don't want to lose another pet so soon so I think I need to make more of an effort to make her feel loved.

BTW, I covered the couch w/a blanket last night & put Max's pillow where she keeps peeing b/c I think she likes Max more than she likes me. We had no pee incidents last night.

I think you hit the nail on the head. I have cat that acts like a dog too. She is extremely attentive to people. If I were to shut her out of the bedroom she would freak. If I were you I would do that one simple thing of leaving your bedroom door open at night and see what happens. If she uses the box at all other times then it definitely has to do with what is happening at night. Can't hurt to try!

BTW, LauraMax, Felliway has no odor whatsoever. I've been using it for years to tame my unruly feline crew.

OK. Off to Pro Pets for a static mat & some Felliway. Funny, I used to be in there once a week for Cosmo's gourmet canned food. I hadn't been in there since she went in January until last night. It was a kind of sad experience.

Oh well. Life goes on right? And Minnie is forcing me to face my demons head on!
