My Calves are killing me

I"ve been trying to lose 10-lbs that I gained during my last pregnancy (that ended in a miscarriage at 4 months).

Anyhow, I've been hitting it hard exercising & eating super clean (SouthBeach Diet Phase 1). I've lost about 6lbs.

Yesterday my calves hurt so much---but I pushed thru and did Imax3---ouch!! I can barely walk today! Ha Ha. So today, I want to do biceps/triceps and abs. It's been so long since I've done strength DVDs---which would you recommend.

BTW, I am finally into some of my clothes (but tighter) and my stomach is beginning to flatten, yeah!
 
My God, that avatar- too cute! And my condolences for Baby J.

But on to your calves- stretch those legs! Stretch as much as possible, a dozen times a day if you can. I would recommend doing exactly what you plan to with the upper body work. Give those calves a rest for a couple days, or as long as it takes for the pain to go away. Myself and plenty of others know what happens when you ignore what your body's trying to tell you.
 
Any suggestions on a good workout? Something that won't leave me super sore tomorrow---something gentle? I'm more of an endurance rather than a strength orientated gal. My back/chest is a little sore too---so just bicep/tricep & abs. Will I have to paste stuff together? Sometimes there's strength training stuff on the end of step workouts or hi/lo maybe I should venture into some of those? Or is there a pre-mix that Cathe may have?
 
If you have the 4DS i would do the bi/tri workout and one of the abs from there. Otherwise, maybe the GS bis/tris?
 
Thanks! I did Cardio Coach 4 ---easy pace ----I know, I know, but my calves weren't hurting by 7pm and I"m so determined to lose this weight!

AND I did DS biceps + triceps with super light weight 3,5,7 and 10lb weights. Nothing like the 15 and up lbs that Cathe and her crew use. I'm a total weight wimp!
