My Bathroom Renovation is Finished - Take a Look

Hi Everyone:

Well, I made it thru the worst renovation that I have to do to my apartment. My 42-year old bathroom has just been renovated. It took 5 long days but it was worth it.

I have a link (hope it works) and hopefully it will start at the beginning so that you can see the progression.

This is my FIRST attempt at renovating anything.

Great job Ellen. I really like those glass shelves above the toilet. They look so clean and modern and love the lighting above the sink. Great job!!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!!

You did an amazing job! WOW!! I bet you are thrilled to have that done! I know how hard it is to live with such a critical room under construction! Makes you feel all out of sorts!

You did GREAT! Be very proud!!!

What a nice compliment!!! My sister was my helper with the tile and the rest was up to me. Actually, I wanted a generic spa-like look, in the event that I sell, I wanted something that would appeal to most folks. So, I selected neutral colors. The problem was the accessories because whatever I wanted - there was a 4 week lead time and I had 2 weeks to get everything together. So, I hustled. My biggest accomplishment was the wall vent cover. It is 42 years old and no one makes any replacement covers for it. I contacted everyone on the internet and ended up finding a place in Atlant, GA who came thru overnight.

Thankfully, the kitchen is not as big a job.

Elaine:

I did not do the actual work - I had a great tile person. I did not work with any designer - just went with what I liked and hoped for the best. Really wanted a sleek look and being that my bathroom is so small and old, I didn't have many options of what I could do or buy. For example, I couldn't do a "heated floor" or a "towel warmer" so I just went for simple elegance. It took 5 days to complete not 2 weeks. So, I had to move into a hotel.

Thank you, Elaine for your comments.

W0W! What a great job you did! I know how much work that was because I've done the same thing myself. (Only I had someone else do it, and it took WAY longer than 5 days!)

Enjoy your new bathroom!
