About 3 almost 4 weeks ago my 6 year old son was hanging out with dad in the garage playing, when he tripped and somehow landed on the weigh bench and took a hard hit to the cheek. The injured area became swollen and bruised for a couple of weeks. Now almost 4 weeks later the swelling has gone down, but theres still a very tiny bruise left. I was feeling his cheekbone yesterday and I feel a small movebable tiny bump under the skin. Is it possible that he broke his cheekbone?! He has no pain or I see no other symptoms as far as a fallen cheek or eye. He does have an appointment on Monday, but till then I cant stop thinking about it.

Hopefully its nothing, but you will feel much better knowing for sure. Hopefully it will turn out ok.

Get the xray to rule out a bone fragment. However, he could just have a left over hematoma (bruise/blood lumpy thing.) Don't let him poke it too much, let it just resolve on its own. I hope its just a bruise.
