My 1st 10k tomorrow!!!

9 am sharp! I'm nervous, and excited, and askeered:eek: I just put together my playlist and am ready to go now!!!! How am I supposed to wait until tomorrow??? Wanna go now!!!!! I've been eating everything in site today out of nerves, too. I did a 5 k last fall, which was my 1st race, and this is only my 2nd race. My SIL is doing it too, and she just started running a few wks ago, but her trainer pushed her into it, which I don't think is a good idea, but that's another story. Its a hilly route, but is by my house, and a route I run often, so I will be ok, but I wanna go NOW!!!!!!! Can't.wait.any.more. I suspect I will finish somewhere in the middle, which is fine.

I also started the 3 month STS rotation this week, and am sooooooo grateful for Shanna who recommended I move legs to Monday this week. My booty is still a touch sore today from Mondays legs, but it was screaming bloody murder Tues and Weds. Potty DOMS - ow!!!! If I had done D3 today, there is no way I would have been able to run tomorrow. So thanks again, Shanna. :) My 3rd trip thru STS, who would have thunk it? Them DOMS are sneaky, evil little bugger :p

14 hours to go!!! Somebody entertain me. How am I supposed to pass the time. I was going to start reading Lord of The Rings tonight, but I don't think I can concentrate on that. Hope I can sleep.

I am on a huge nervous buzz. Boingy, Boingy, Boingy!!!!!!!!

You will rock this race!!! In the meantime, find a funny movie and lose yourself for a couple of hours. (Caddyshack? "Be the ball..." :p:D)

Most of all, have fun!! And report back when it's over so we can all give you ^^55s! :)
 
You will be doing great!!!!! I agree with jonahnah, get a good movie, maybe something funny or inspiring (my favorite is Seabisquit - yeah I know :rolleyes:), or my usual ritual for every single challenge in my life, I listen to Cardio Coach :D It always does the trick for me.

Nan, ENJOY the boingy boingy BOINGY feeling! I STILL get that feeling of excitement, fear, confidence, self-doubt, and plain ol' stomach-churning-can't-wait-another-second feeling!!! ENJOY yourself and let us know how you feel when YOU FINSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
