Music trivia: Buttercup?

:) Here is a music trivia question. Do any of you know who sings the original buttercup song? I was telling the girls on the Ask Cathe post re:, Cathe's motivational music, that I was pretty good at music trivia. Quess what, I have no idea who sings buttercup! Any guesses?:)
 
:) Wow that was fast! Very good! I'll take your word for it that the Foundations sang buttercup. Neither myself or my hubby could figure out who sang it.:D You're the official buttercup trivia champ! Hurray!:)

:) Were the Foundations a one hit wonder? Also for Deb: was Clay Aikens version the original? I do not know if I ever heard his version.:D
 
Hi Lisa~Actually, I'm not sure. It sounded pretty much like the "original" but was a shortened version due to the length of time they gave them on American Idol for each song. That said, there was NO SONG I didn't like that Clay sang. He can sing ANYTHING and it sounds great! Can't wait for his CD to be released!

They also recorded another song titled: Baby, Now That I Have Found You which was a big hit. I know a bit about them since they were a group from the '60's.

BTW - don't go shopping for their cd - the one offered on Amazon is not a true recording of the original song - I read the reviews.
