Muscle sorness in uncommon places

Hey Guys!
You know how when you wake up in the morning and you had a super tough workout that kicked your butt last night and your sore...Right? Well you know how everyone complaines how they're legs are sore or their shoulders or back are sore. Sometimes even ticeps. How come you don't hear anyone saying "Oh My Biceps Are Sore?" Its like an uncommon soreness place or something. Does anyone else have this? Or do any of you have bicep soreness? I sometimes do. Just curious ;-)

Oh yes, I've most certainly had soreness in my biceps! Especially after Pyramid Upper Body and GS BSB. Those two will almost always make my biceps tight the next day---and sometimes even the day after that, lol:)
 
LOL saia. I ust never thought it was a common place. You almost never hear anyone talk about bicep sorness. Thanks!

Oh yes, the bicep work in GS always makes my biceps sore. So do the bicep work in CTX (especially when I've been off CTX for a while) PH, and our favorite ME.

PUB always fries my biceps too, I just did it today. Way to go Meg on the 15#ers, I was eyeing them up but was too scared, lol. I can barely make it through with the 12's.
 
I never feel muscle soreness in my biceps, even when I go heavy. The only time I ever had muscle soreness in my biceps was the day after my bootcamp class. We had to pull tires with a 25# weight in the tire. That really fried them. I'm doing PUB tomorrow for the first time so maybe I feel it then. I've had muscle soreness everywhere else but in my biceps.
 
Yup, just did PUB yesterday and my biceps are DEFINITELY sore today! My DS counted up the # of reps and between the hammer curls and regular curls, and it was like 94 or something!! OUCH! I worked my way up to 15#s... but it takes it's toll, lol! I managed 10, 12, 15 on the way up, but then I had to drop to 10 and then 8 on the way down. I'm glad that biceps are last on that workout b/c my arms are definitely fried after that set!

Bicep soreness?? Oh yeah!! I think I get soreness in every major muscle. And probably the not so major ones too!
 
Most certainly bicep soreness is attainable. GS does it everytime for me. MIS is a goodie as well. I think soreness in any body part is for the most part attainable if you work it hard enough...so work it, girl, work it ;)


ETA - can I ask you a random question, Adri? Why are you so into heavy lifting and building muscle when you are a gymnast? Wouldn't you be more interested in the endurance type (mixed w/ heavy and other of course). Just curious...

I like getting into different things. After I'm done w/ gymnastics I wanna become a PT and go to the college of sports and medicine and also become a bodybuilder, either pro or amatueur.

Great goals Adri. You're on your way with all of the knowledge you are gaining about working out and the knowledge you already have about healthful eating. Follow your dreams! But try to cut back on the wine and whiskey, okay?

Trust me Adina, it aint easy! I am practically in tears LOL!! It is a cool feeling, but I usually have to drop down to 10# for a few reps, then 8#s to finish the pyramid. I just got to that point, so you will get there in no time! Good luck!
