Muscle soreness, only one time

I have been doing power hour and love that tape. For variety I did MIS. I was so sore for three days. (Legs and glutes only).
The next week I did MIS and I didnt feel a thing the next day. Why am I only sore the first time I do the workout and not the following times?

2 words: Muscle confusion. This has happened to me. Power Hour is an endurance workout, lower weight, higher reps. MIS is heavy duty weight-lifitng--do you find you can go heavier on MIS? I can. Also, I think I read somewhere on this forum that the faster and increased number of reps on PowerHour keeps lactic acid from building up in the muscle, so you are less sore. If you do MIS for a while, then go back to PowerHour, I bet you will be sore in a different way. Sorry if I'm rambling.

Yes, I did go 10lbs heavier with MIS. I didnt even think about that. After Power Hour, MIS seemed easy until the next day. I'm
glad I felt it though, then I really feel like I did something positive for me. Do you have S&H series? How would that compare to these two tapes? Thanks for you input.

Hi firmbogie! You are so right about the muscle confusion however, I just wanted to correct you on something you thought you read somewhere on the forum. It is actually the light weight hi-rep workouts that increase soreness in muscle due to lactic acid build up. It is the slower and heavier training with rests and stretches in between sets that keeps lactic acid from building up as greatly as it does in a hi-rewp workout. Please don't mind my correction, I just wanted to help you understand it more clearly. :)!
