MS Excel spreadsheet question

In Microsoft Excel:

Does anybody know if I can fix the width of a column and have the text automatically wrap itself into multiple lines within that column?

Does that make sense?

I've asked the Excel Wizard but haven't been able to find what I'm trying to do.

Hi Gayle - Have you tried this?

1. Highlight the column
2. Choose format -> cells
3. Click the alignment tab, and check the box for wrap text.

It won't automatically make the column width wider, but it'll automatically wrap the text in each cell and them bigger (taller).

HTH.

ETA - You can do above and make the column any width you want manually.

Besides the suggestion above, you can also hit Alt+Enter to start a new line within a cell. That will automatically wrap the text for that cell.
