MP3 Player ?

Well, I am getting with the times! I am about to purchase an MP3 player. I guess I can finally say good bye to my huge portable CD player:) . I was reading that Cathe is going to be making workouts for Zune and Ipod (along with Apple TV and Tivo)-none of which I have. I know what the Ipod Nano can do, and I know a little about the 30G Ipod (plays/stores video). I just found out about the Zune, and I would love to hear recommendations/reviews on any or all of the above (Ipod Nano, Ipod 30G-to play videos, and Zune).

My sister loves the 30G Ipod to play TV shows on that she has downloaded. She said she watches them while she runs on the treadmill at the gym. I do not go to a gym, and I do not have a treadmill, so I don't know if I would really have use for an MP3 player that plays video. But, on the other hand, I would like to download any of Cathe's workouts that would become available. Is there a way to download videos for the Ipod or Zune onto my computer and watch them there?

Now, I am slightly (o.k., more than slightly) technologically challenged, so any advice would be very much appreciated.

Thanks!

I am waiting with baited breath for a technology wizard to answer your post...I too am "challenged' in this area....:)

Is SNM planning to do like a Cardio Coach kind of thing? Do we even know what they're doing yet?

I don't know about you, but I haven't the slightest interest in seeing video on my mp3 player. My primary goal is to be able to download songs. With an Ipod or Nano, you can use the itunes website, which seems to have a lot more songs than most other similar websites. I currently have a tiny little Creative Muvo which I paid next to nothing for and I download songs from walmart.com. When it stops working, I'll probably get a Nano, but since there's nothing to break on this little thing, and it's got plenty of memory, I may just have to use it forever. And why not? It has everything I need:

1. A screen to allow me to see what song is playing (I don't think the ipod shuffle has this)
2. Plenty of memory
3. Easy to load songs from the internet.

Other than that, I don't know what you would need, depending upon what you want to use it for. Size may be another consideration for you. Mine attaches to an armband I bought, and it's tiny and light as a feather, which I like. Others look for players that can be submerged under water. It really just depends upon your sport, and what you want to use it for.

I just love my Ipod. I got it for Valentine's Day and I found it very easy to use. T%hat's the main reason why I like it. I have only downloaded songs so far, and I looking forward to doing other things with it.

I agree with you Fancy Nancy. I've used my Ipod to download music and health & fitness audio books.I listen to my Ipod when I go for walks, doing house work, and yard work. It's is a great tool to help you with stretching or yoga because Ipod is associated with Itunes, and the Itunes website has a great selection of music, health & fitness radio stations and even videos.:) :)

Does anyone know of another website to download health & fitness information?

Thanks so much for your input. I am pretty sure I will be purchasing the Ipod Nano. I am not really interested in seeing videos/shows on a tiny screen, so the others would be a waste. I would love to be able to listen to music and podcasts, so the Ipod Nano seems like my best bet.
