More S&H Benefits!

Hello Everyone!

I just wanted to share my thoughts as I've come off my first 3 weeks with S&H and into a PS rotation. I did PS Legs & Abs last night, and Chest/Shoulders/Triceps tonight and WHAT a difference! The thing I'm noticing the most is that my form is GREATLY improved, and I'm stronger! The form thing has really got me though - I can feel every PS rep right where I'm supposed to feel it. The only thing is my body wanted to do slower count reps and I had to concentrate on going faster!;-)YEAH Slow & Heavy! I can't wait to do PS BBA on Wednesday!

That is so true! S&H has great form pointers and it's really helped me w/ the PS series. I don't get sore when I do S&H though. My muscles burn like crazy while I'm exercising but afterwards I'm fine. However, I did PS Chest, Shoulders and Triceps yesterday and I am really sore today! Faster reps always have that effect on me.

I'm glad you've posted this! Sounds like S&H did it's job for you! Well, you too, you lifted all those weights!!!!

I'm on the last week of a S&H rotation, will be taking a week off and then starting a PS rotation. I hope I have as good as results as you!

LAST EDITED ON Oct-22-02 AT 01:11PM (Est)[p]I just finished up 2 weeks of S&H and I'm noticing the same thing with CTX this week -- my form is better, too! I'm also lifting heavier than before I did S&H, but I'm not sure if it's entirely because I'm stronger, or if I'm just getting braver and more confident of how much I can lift. ;-)

I just completed my first S&H workout. While doing the workout, it seemed not so bad. But the next day I was good and sore! I was so surprised, because I didn't think I was working that hard. Has anyone else had that experience?

Thanks for sharing the info .. but now I'm really bummed! I anxiously awaited for S&H to get here. It arrived Friday but we had to leave town for a funeral :-(

We got in last night ... too late for me to workout so this morning, I busted open the plastic, popped open the case and attempted to get it to play. No Luck! Apparently something is wrong with the disk so am waiting for a 2nd response for customer service to see what can be done :(

good luck and really, thanks for sharing your success :) It's very encouraging.

Yes Yes Yes Rhonda. I kept reading about how no one is really sore when they do S&H, sooooo I began on Monday with S&H Bis and tris, then was up late Monday night so didn't do S&H legs/shoulders until Tuesday evening and got up bright and early to do S&H chest and back on Wednesday morning (today) and let me tell you I am crabby. I tried to lift my heaviest, I did what Cathe was doing and even stayed at 8's when she went to 5's on some things. I figured no problem, no one usually gets sore from S&H. Well, I am pretty tight and irritable this afternoon. Not horribly sore, but definitely irritable. I'm going to do cardio tomorrow and then do the S&H split upper body with some legs or PH on Friday. I want to do each body part twice per week. (this is the first time I've done S&H). Let me know how you continue to do!!!!

Briee -

Glad to know I'm not the only one! I did Chest/Back today, and will do Bi's/Tri's on Friday. I'm just doing it once per week, then plan to do PH to hit the whole body at once, then back to S&H. I'll try this for a while and see how it goes. I really like it so far, it is a nice change of pace! My arms were really shaking today!

Briee,
Watch out for that S&H irritability! I actually put this workout off till this week, while I'm off work. I did this because *last* time I did S&H just one week (while working)I was quite snappy to my DH- I think I just needed more sleep!

This time it's much better: I'm skimping on cardio, eating plenty of protein and not skimping on calories, and sleeping enough and I feel much better. I can feel it that I'm definitely building muscle while resting in between the workouts.

Also it's helping to preserve my marriage, LOL! The next time I do it I'll be better prepared, enough to do it on a regular work week.
