More Cardio = Gained Weight - so frustrating!!

i am with those that say diet.

also you may be one of those folks that does not respond well to just cardio or more cardio then weights. i have to do more cardio and balance it with moderate weight training.

everybody is different so know you are not a "freak" your body just needs something different to see results.

all this cardio only or heavy lifting less cardio is all relative to who is doing it so i can't say this works better then this etc.

When I was training for a 1/2 marathon and then also for an olympic triathalon, I gained weight and looked flabbier and softer than I normally do.

I think the biggest reason for that was that I stopped focusing so much on my weight training and also changed my diet to incorporate more carbs for the energy.

I also think that my body became acclimated to doing that much cardio and I stopped burning as many calories.

Everyone is so different though.. I know alot of people who look great and lost a bunch of weight when training for endurance activities. It really is an individual thing.
