Good Morning Ladies!

How is everyone? I am at work today so I am so-so. I wish I was home in bed ,although I fell asleep last night before Desperate Housewives even started so I had a good nights sleep. Thats if you take away the rolling over, the peeing and having to get up to let the dog out to pee. Sleeping on the outside as its disadvantages.:)
I didn't have a good day on Sat and I swore I was never doing this again. When I get the heart burn, I get it for 2-3 days with no releif. Nothing I eat or drink will make it go away. So Sat I suffered with it, not to mention that I am not enjoying getting dressed right now either. Anyone else starting to grow out of their maternity clothes? And we still have another 11.5 weeks to go!;(
This is my last month of work which I am looking forward to but I expect this month to crawl by. I am working night shifts all weekend but those will be the last night shifts I work so....WOO HOO! Can't wait to get them over with.

Anyway, thats it from me. Just figured I would start the thread this week.

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a good weekend.

Lori, sorry about the heartburn and being so uncomfortable sleeping. I wake up so many times too, mostly with bad hip pain. It's pretty annoying. I have to say that this pregnancy has just seemed much more uncomfortable than my other two and I'm not sure why, maybe just me getting older. It hasn't helped this past week either that I've been fighting a terrible head cold/cough. It is finally getting better I think. I was only able to get one walk in last week:( So, I'm hoping to get back onto my workout schedule this week.

Glad to hear you are almost done working, I'm sure just taking a break from that will help out a lot. I'm so over maternity clothes! I'm just making due with the same two pairs of maternity pants and several different shirts. I saved some from my other pregnancies (in larger sizes) too so I should have enough to get me through the end.

Well, everyone hang in there. I think this week will be a better one for me just because I'm not coughing my head off all the time anymore! :)

Good morning ladies,

Wow, I am the third one at the check in, I must be really late ;-) . Here are my workouts from last week:

Sun - off
Mon - 35 min treadmill walk
Tue - LIS
Wed - GS Chest and Tricep (30 min timesaver)
Thu - GS Back, Shoulders and Triceps (30 min timesaver)
Fri - off
Sat - GS Legs (30 min timesaver) and 20 min treadmill walk

As of Saturday I am officially in my 3rd trimester, oh boy, is it going downhill from here now? ;-)
My workout this morning felt pretty tough for whatever reason.
I still sleep pretty good at night, but I wake up because my tummy is hurting, like a tummy ache, so I wonder if that's because of the weight pressing on my stomach or what. I don't know, I can't figure it out. Anybody else has that problem?

Lori - So sorry to hear about your heartburn problems. I normally get them under the week, when I am at work (how weird is that) and Tums normally help.
I have one pair of maternity pants that doesn't fit anymore, but I got me an extra pair and it's huge, so it'll last me til the end, if nothing else should fit, which I sure don't hope. Maybe a couple of shirts are getting tight, but that's ok. I still love my maternity clothes and I could just go shopping like crazy for them but I am not going to.

Stacey - Glad you are getting over your cold, I haven't been sick yet, since I am pregnant, but I am sure it must be a lot worse than unpregnant.

Jean - Did you find some pants?

ksbehning - Welcome to the check in. I promise everything will get better in the second trimester. In my first trimester I only worked out 2-3 times a week, because I was just so exhausted and unbelievable tired. I used to get up at 4 am to workout, but there was no way to keep this up in my first trimester. Now I am able to get up at 4 am again to do my workouts. I just entered my third trimester though, so we'll see how that goes.

krystalb - Sorry to hear about your morning sickness, but hopefully it'll get better soon, just hang in there, the second trimester is not far.

jenni - How are you doing? Did you have your twins yet?

Hope that everyone has a good week.

Kristine :)

Kristine,
What a great workout week you had! You've inspired me to do better this week:) Going to try for 5 days this week, wish me luck. I have had to modify to walking, water aerobics, low impact prenatal aerobics and light weight lifting. It seems to be the best fit for me at this stage.

Also, I start a Fit for 2 prenatal exercise class at my local hospital next week. It is twice a week for an hour in the evenings and runs through mid-December. I'm VERY excited to take it.

Anyway, just wanted to say that's awesome how well you've been doing!

I'm about 3 weeks away from the 3rd trimester, looking forward to it just cause it means the new baby will be here soon:)

Hi Lori,

I posted this previously and thought maybe it might help you.

Previous post "I just thought I'd pass this on for those of you who may be suffering with heartburn. I've heard from quite a few women that they use Papaya Enzymes. A friend of mine told me, "they are sold in a lot of health food stores and taste really good. I love them from about month 5 on. There are no negative side effects and they just contain naturally occuring enzymes in the papaya that aid digestion. Tums never worked for me, but these are great." "

Good luck!

Hi Everyone,

It's been a couple of months since my last check-in...been kind of lazy about it. But, I'm so impressed, Lori, with your workouts...you really kept at it. I had a Dr. visit this morning...gained 1 pound too many x(. My dr. just put me on the 3-week visitation schedule so I'm really excited about that!!! The countdown is definitely on:7.

Glad, everyone is doing so well. I haven't had many physical sleep problems, but for a few nights each week, I just wake up and stay up for no reason. Body feels great, but I guess my mind just won't shut down. I even go all night with getting up for the bathroom most nights.

Well, I'm trying to work more walking into my schedule. I've pretty much given up on the dvds at this point, but I'm so looking forward to them after delivery;).

Take care ladies!

Toodles,
Trish

Hi Trish,

Glad you are joining us at the check in again.

Thank you so much. I am trying the best I can and I guess I am doing ok, but compared to shopaholic, morris etc. my workouts seem just super lame ;-) .

I have my next Dr.'s appointment next Friday and I am sure he'll put me on a different schedule as well, how exciting, we are less when 12 weeks away. }(

Kristine :)

Hi all.

I just waned to say hi and that I am officially joining you all here. I was going to wait until I was 8 weeks to join, but I just couldn't wait any longer!

I am prego with #2 and I am due in early June and I could not be more excited.

I look forward to getting to know you all better!

Kristine,

Super lame...no, way. You rock!! If I kept up with even half of your workouts, I would be feeling great right now (and not having to listen to my Dr. lecture me on my excerise/eating habits x()

I am getting very worked up over here...the anticipation is really growing :). I can't wait to see her!

Robin -- CONGRATULATIONS on your pregnancy and welcome to the check-in!!!

Trish

Hi Robin,

Congratulations!!!! This is so exciting!!!

I just entered the third trimester and it's my first one. We are going to have a little girl and we are really excited!

Glad you are joining us at the check in.

Kristine :)

Welcome Robin!
Congratulations on your pregnancy, that is so exciting. My twin sister also is due in early June and just found out she's pregnant with her first.

Do you have a boy or a girl already?

Hi Trish, glad to see you're back:)

That's so exciting you and Kristine are both due about the same time. It'll be fun to see who goes first!

I know what you mean about your mind not being able to shut down at night, I also find myself thinking about a million things. Suppose that's common with us pregnant gals.

Anyway, have a great week, and good luck fitting in the walking. I had a bad last week with a head cold/cough, but am setting a goal to get 5 workouts in this week since I feel better.

hello all moms-to-be:)

I haven't checked in for 2 weeks, but we have been out of town visiting sick relatives. Surprisingly, I have been keeping up with my workouts - getting in 3 cardio per week and they do help me to feel better. I just can't motivate myself to do weights for some reason though!
The pregnancy is getting tedious now - feeling hot all of the time, cumbersome, ms has returned along with the usual heartburn. My dr suggested gaviscon for the heartburn which has helped a lot. Insomnia has also taken over once I wake up at 4am every morning...I'm just wide awake at that point. The is my first and I am just terrified at the prospect of being a parent and going through the birth. Luckily, I won't be working for too much longer, so I will be able to sleep some more (hopefully!).

One thing that does tickle me is sometimes I feel the baby moving while I do Cathe or Christi:) I like to think she's joining in:)

Congrats on all the new moms-to-be joiners:)

I hope everyone has a good week!

Hi Everyone!!

Sorry that I have been MIA! NOOOOO, I still have not had these babies yet. I am actually starting to get depressed...it just hurts all the time, do a birthing dance for me!! ha I need help! ha

Congrats to all the new mommies-to-be!! I agree with the other posters...the first trimester is so difficult. You will get your energy back, so do not panic. My first trimester was the worst with exercise...but, it came back in the second.

Kristine and Stacey - you are almost there!!! Keep going!!!

I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the last bit of the warm weather...

Thinking of all of you!

I will let you know if anything goes down...literally! HA

TWINS!

Wow, what a chatty bunch and some new members! Thats great.

Nope, Im not the one working out! Although now I wish I had kept it up. I was to afraid in the beginning that the baby was gonna "fall out" hahaha

Thanks for the info on the heartburn, I will definitly be looking into that!

I am a proper you know what today. I feel like my eyes are two slits, and nothing else. I need a good nap and its just not happening anymore. I am gonna call the massage clinic in a little while to see if I can get in. My neck and shoulder is killing me. I think I will also buy some medicated cream like A535 or something like that.
I am at work all day but I am gonna run to the mall later to see if I can cheer myself up. I need to get some things for work so it will be a perfect excuse to get out of the office for a while.

Lori
