Hi ladies! I feel like it's taking forever to get to know all of you. A big group we have here!! Maybe if you guys could share the state you live in and what pregnancy this is for you?!?!?

This week has been a good week exercise wise. I found an old workout log of my last pregnancy & was inspired. I'm so big already, but I've gained about 10-lbs so I think I"m right on target. Baby is moving very little, if at all. This concerns me. Prayers would be helpful, if you could think of us. :)

Sun: LoMax 1-4
Mon: off
Tue: C & W
Wed: Imax 2 (minus interval #9)
Thurs: LoMax 4-7
Fri: Firm Tough Aerobic Mox
Sat: off (today) worked 10.5 hrs, does that count?

**Oh, and I live in central rural Minnesota, & this is my 3rd baby.**

Hi Melanie and everyone!

I live in the People's Republic of Oregon and this is my 6th baby.

Melanie--I sympathize about the movement. I don't think I've felt this baby yet and I am 17 weeks tomorrow. A couple of times I've thought I've felt it, but I'm really not sure. I'm a little worried also.

I've maintained my weight for the 3rd week in a row, so feeling pretty stoked about that. It's looking like less than 40 lbs will be doable (a huge accomplishment for me!!!)

My workouts:
Mon-1/2 Rythmic Step; Step Fit (got my new DVD's--had to test)
Tues-SH chest, shoulders triceps(shaved off one set of every exercise)
Wed-LL (skipped abs); 2nd 1/2 of Rythmic Step
Thurs-KPC kick/punch drills; SH/GS back/biceps hybrid
Fri-IMAX 3 step only; Low Max step only
Sat-The Viper

I have been reduced to a 6 inch step on everything now:-( and really starting to have to modify some moves. I get so winded. blech.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Maggie:)

Maggie, Oregon is beautiful. We almost moved to Salem, OR so I could attend pharmacy school...then I got accepted to MN pharmacy school, so it was more practical to stay put. BEAUTIFUL there!

I mentioned in last post that I decreased my step to 6 inches as well. I felt sad about it, but it was either that or not exercising as much. I also modify quite a bit. I gained almost 40lbs with last pregnancy. I'd like to repeat everything since the weight shed off quickly last time. I aimed for 25lbs, and settled for 40. Hmmmm. It worked I guess. ;)

Did I read that the new baby will be using Malcom's crib? Or are you buying a new crib for the new baby? How many boys/girls do you have? I've forgotten. :D

Hi ladies. I live in Central Pa - we live in a rural area. This is my third pregnancy. I have a 4 year old son Gabriel and I had a m/c November 11, 2003; I was 5 weeks along. I gained 28 lbs with my first pregnancy and so far I"ve gained 18lbs with this one. I only have about 10 weeks to go, so even if I gain 1lb per week until I deliver I"ll only have gained 28lbs again. I hope that the weight comes off easy this time. Last time I lost it all in 3 weeks but at that time I was soooo lazy and I gained it all back. Now that I"ve found Cathe and I eat pretty healthy I"m hoping to lose the pregnancy weight plus about 25 more lbs.

My workouts last week were pretty good. I"m trying to do Cathe's July rotation with a few modifications/substitutions. Here's my week:
Sun: none
Mon: none
Tuesday: w/up, step premix from SPJ, some of the abs/planks and stretch
Wednesday: 20 minutes on the elliptical; 100 walking lunges; 6 sets of 10 pushups (modified using the wall)
Thursday: 4 mile walk
Friday: 2 mile walk
Saturday: (today) High Step Circuit

I"m glad that this week's rotation includes some lifting. I missed that last week.

Have a great week everyone! :)

Melanie--agreed, Oregon is beautiful and that is one thing I love about it. There is a lot I don't however, but that discussion is for another place}( :) :p--we are all too nice for politics here.

Yes, the plan is for Malcolm to move in with his big brother and sleep on the bottom bunk of Gabe's bunk bed and for Bardric to move into the toddler bed and later to share with Malcolm (the bottom bunk is a full size while the top is a twin--the boys ought to be able to manage. It is a bit of a tight squeeze, but we keep most of the toys in the house in a toy room in the basement, leaving the bedrooms for beds and clothes.

Dana--we have a Gabriel too. He is 11 (in about 12 days) and he is our oldest--good name:7 :7. He usually goes by Gabe, but I call him both.

Maggie

Maggie, I"m still in awe that you have 5.5 kids. That's just amazing. How do you find the time to workout so intensely with 5 kids? Is there a limit to how many kids you'll have. ;)

Hi! Like Dana, I've been doing Cathe's July '05 rotation, modified to suit me. Anyone here planning on doing the August '05 rotation LOL!!!! That's a brutal rotation that I would have gladly leaped upon 10 months ago. Maybe it will be my post-partum goal to get back to that level.

Here's my week:

MON: SJP Step & Weights Circuit premix
TUES: SB Combos 1 & 2; Basic Step Abs add-on
WEDS: LM 1-4; CW compound and heavy weights
THURS: BM w/u and leg circuits
FRI: LM 4-7; Leisa Hart's FitMama prenatal abs and stretch
SAT: Christie Taylor's Totally Hot Cardio
SUN: Rest

Everyone here is doing great workouts. It's such a challenge to stay so committed when your body is multitasking by growing another human being.

I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. This is my 3rd pregnancy: I have a 5 year old daughter, and had a m/c last September at 11 weeks. I just finished week 33 with this pregnancy, and am feeling like I did in my first trimester: very tired, poor appetite, and moody. I slept 11.5 hours on Friday night x( But that's what pregnancy is all about, so I can't complain.

Cheers!
Sandra

Sandra, wow, I cannot believe that you and I are feeling alike. As I was driving to work this morning I'm thinking to myself, I feel like I"m in my first trimester. My appetite is gone. I know that I need to eat so I force myself - I"ll take 2 or 3 bites and I"m done. Certain things that I've been eating no longer appeal to me. In the beginning of this pregnancy, coffee made me gag. I started having 1 cup in the morning in my 2nd trimester and right now, I can take a few sips and I dump it out. And the fatigue, I don't know if it is the heat + the additional weight but I'm more tired then ever.

But not much longer to go. :)

Ladies, I give you credit..I though I would be able to exercise til the end, but I had to stop about 3 weeks ago...not only from the fatigue but the placenta is low and the pelvic pains are very bad. I have 3 more weeks til my c-section and am dying to exercise again. I feel like I lost soooo much strength...kudos to you all who can keep it going til the end!!

Wow three weeks is so soon! You must be so excited! Don't worry, after you heal from the c/s you can worry about muscle tone, for now just worry about healthy mama and baby!:)

Dana - you have said exactly how I feel! More than three bites of anything is more than enough for me, and usually requires me to lay down and rest for a bit. I also feel a bit queasy at times. My food preferences seem to have gone back to what I wanted in the 1st trimester, too: toast with butter and jam; cereal; milkshakes/milk/yogurt/ice cream. It gets harder by the day to force down all the fruits and veggies I need. I could care less if I eat any food past 3:00 in the afternoon. Preparing (and eating) supper has become a chore, so this weekend I bought a week's worth of prepared meals (frozen casseroles, etc.) that I can just stick in the oven or on the bbq, and the family will get fed. I found week 30 to be the turning point for how I was feeling.

Vanity68 - I'm sorry to hear you are feeling so much discomfort :-( What day is your c-section scheduled for?

Sandra

Well I used every ounce of energy I had this week:

Monday: 1 hr swim class

Tuesday: Basic Step

Wednesday: 2 hr sewing class - my "arm workout" ;-)

Thursday: off

Friday: off

Saturday: Basic Step and 75 lunges + 2 hours organinzing and moving boxes in my basement (my other "arm workout" :) )

Sunday: GSL premix 33 min + 4 hours cleaning my apartment (I'm going threw our closets - oh the joy)

I just had it and crashed last night at 7:00. I've been on top of all that going through baby clothes, sorting out what I can use for our DD and what I'm going to sell. It's been quite a week. For the better half of the week our small apartment looked worse for all the boxes I've had out that I've been sorting through. They say it looks worse before it gets better! I still have more organinzing and rearranging to do, but feel like I got alot done! Oh this morining my High Step Circuit came in :). Now I'm just waiting for the release date of the new ones!!!

About me:

I live in St. Louis, Missouri. This is my third pregnancy - had a mc at 4 wks in December of 2004. My son is 3 years old, and quite a cutie if I can say so!

btw - can someone tell me why I'm nesting already???

Boy was I lazy this week! Well, it wasn't ALL my fault. I was horribly sore at the beginning of the week from overdoing it with legs and I also started a course which requires a lengthy daily commute. I think I am finally getting back on track. But enough excuses, time to fess up.

Sunday—off (still sore!!)
Monday—off
Tuesday—off again! (except for an easy 30 minute evening walk)
Wednesday—BS/BF lower body add on + stability ball abs
Thursday—BS
Friday—BS/BF upper body add on + stability ball abs
Saturday—KPC/LG premix including abs (modified of course)

I have a dr's appointment on Wednesday so I'll see then what sort of damage has been done in the last month. My own scale is so unreliable that I just don't trust it. It says I've gained about 2 pounds this past month, and that just seems awfully low.

Oh, and as for the other info, I live in central Michigan and this is my first pregnancy.

Monica

Hi ladies,

Good news is i am off bedrest as i am now in my 35th week and if the baby decides to come now he would be fine..wooohooo!! obviously, i still have to take it easy and can't exercise yet. As i can no longer sleep i was up the other night watching a informercial for some workout plan and i am dying to get back to excercising...all in due time.

vanity68- when are you having your c-section? as i am also scheduled for one in 3 weeks...on 8/22.

i currently live in nc, we relocated last year from nj. this is our 2nd pregnancy.

Melanie - Grest suggestion! I live in the Horse Capital of the World in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. This is my 2nd and last pregnancy. My first child, Alexander, turned 3 in June.

Dana & Sandra - I'm right there with you on the fatigue and loss of appetite. Nothing sounds or tastes good except greasy fast food hamburgers. I'm trying really hard to resist the temptation.

Vanity68 - I am another prego who hoped to exercise to the end, but its not going to happen. My only workouts have been my once weekly pushing mowing of my lawn, which takes 1 hour, and cleaning my house. However, due to DD being breech right now, I hope she turns soon, my pelvis and internal organs feel battered and bruised. I feel like DD is already do Cathe's Kickmax or KPC inside of me and it really hurts. Needless to say, I'm trying to be nice to myself until she arrives. I'm so looking forward to exercising again.

SunnyD - You must be so excited about coming off of bedrest. You little one will be really soon!

Keep up the great job everyone!

Sunday - Circuit Max
Monday - Power Circuit
Tuesday - walked 2 miles
Wednesday - Step and intervals
thursday - sick
Friday - sick, and steam cleaned carpets for four hours (I love the look and smell of clean carpets, but that dang machine weighs a TON!!)
Saturday - Walked 3 miles - country block

Melanie - sometimes I think you are writing my posts! :) We're about the same due date, and you seem to be having issues that match mine - I feel so big and am amazed that it all amounts to less than 10 pounds. Where the heck is it coming from?! I feel like my stomach is already getting cramped and still have so many weeks to go...

Sunny - Wow - you made it!! Congratulations and I hope you're enjoying the last few weeks (or days!) before you meet you newest wonder finally off bedrest! You should do something to reward your patience...something sparkly? Or a new DVD workout for postpartum enjoyment? Hmmmmm....what a choice :)

I've been nauseated off and on, but part of that may be a yucky sinus cold that is just starting to go away. As the congestion is breaking, I was up coughing for two hours last night, so was really tired today at work (DH kicked me out of the bedroom - i woke him up, too.) I'm getting some energy back now, so it's good to be on the downward slope of that one!

The Dreamer Design Ditto stroller is a hit!! We've been around the 'block' four times since it came in and I love it. I am so glad I got one with a handbreak - they just oiled and chipped our road (if you're not rural, that means they resurfaced with a coating of oil and a load of loose rocks) so going down the steep parts has been pretty slippery. The girls are comfortable and I can get in a really nice walk - my legs and butt really like the extra resistance up hill :)

I live in Western PA (near Pittsburgh) but will probably be moving within the next 12 months to the Harrisburg area. DH will be transferred as soon as a position to opens up, so it WILL happen, we just don't know when.

Hope you're all having a good week - can you believe it's August already?!?!

Sunny - congrats on being relieved from bedrest! :)

Gracenote - I really want to steam clean my carpets too - the only thing is that when I usually do them I carry the machine upstairs myself - not gonna happen this time. My carpets need to be cleaned desperately.

Kristi - I'm sorry you haven't been able to exercise anymore. I'm finding it harder to get myself started in the mornings, but I'm always glad I did it. At this point in my pregnancy with dd#1 I had very swollen ankles and all sorts of minor aches and pains. I don't have that this time, and I attribute it to consistent exercise. So, that keeps me committed.

Sunnydelite - Woohoo!! Off bedrest! August 22 will be here before you know it. If you go into labour early (an obvious likelihood in your case), will they still do a c-section?

Sandra

Sandra, I think it is great that you are able to continue exercising. You are doing great! Every week I look at what you have accomplished and think "Look at her go!". I really wish I could continue to exercise on a consistent basis. I'm hoping DD will turn soon so I can feel more comfortable, at least enough to start walking in the afternoons after the heat has diminished a little. The funny part is at the beginning of this pregnancy I was in better shape and exercised more consistently than with my first pregnancy. I barely exercised with pregnancy #1 and felt great with hardly any symptoms at all throughout the duration of the pregnancy. However with this pregnancy my workouts have been limited throughout due to different pregnancy symptoms. It is so hard to believe that we are coming to the end very shortly. Do you think you will go into labor early?
