Hi girls! Wakey wakey!!!!:7

This morning I will do GS Chest, leg work (walking lunges I think), and an ab work out then off to the gym to hit that darned treadmill. }( LOL

What's everyone else got planned?

I got up nice and early and again this morning. Went to bed at a reasonable time the past 2 nights and hope this continues. When I let myself get into the habit of going to bed after 11pm then I sleep too darn late and it stinks cause I feel like my whole day is wasted and ruined!x(

Unfortunatley (but fortunately for you gals, I guess!;)) I am one of those types who doesn't get up and get movin' right away if she can afford not to. I like to get up, make my coffee and chill for a bit before I start my day.
It was a challenge when I was workin'...I had an hour minimum commute, had to be at work by 8 (I was always late! ) and still wanted "hang time" before I jumped in the shower. I would only take a few mins and I would push it until AFTER the last minute...hence...always walking into work late! THANK GOODNESS my boss was super cool! I felt bad about it but somehow it was a cycle I couldn't get out of!x(

DH used to run so last night I asked him how far he thinks I could go today w/o bringing it down to a walk seeing I'm in good shape but have never run. He think I should be able to push out 2-3 miles (at a slow pace). I have my doubts but we'll see! He was explaining to me about the breathing pattern of a runner and how that is sooo important. He said I'll get no where if I don't breathe right. Ofcourse, it's the total opposite of what I know!x( I'm afraid I'm gonna get light headed from breathing like that! Any suggestions?

Oh and DH actually FINALLY did PUB again last night! He came out and said his arms were shaking and he couldn't feel them when he was done! YES!!!!}( }( }(

Hello!!

I don't have much time since I have to jump in the shower. Kylee just woke up so taking a shower might be quite challenging this morning! Maybe Dora will keep her happy! I was hoping this snow storm would hit a little bit harder and I would not have to go to school today. However, we just got a dusting and school is on. Yuck!!

Wendy, I noticed in another post that you have been using Jergens Natural Glow. I have been using that too. Do you like it? I like it so far, but it has a funky smell. It seems to work well, though.

Missy, Are you covered in snow??? My sister lives in Springfield Ill. Last week, they got hit by 4 tornardoes and today they are covered in snow....Enough Already!!! She was fine. Her home was not damaged.

Well, gotta go to studid school.....Talk Later!

Sara

Hi Sara,

I like Jergens Natural Glow...I have a few spots on my legs where the color is uneven but it's good enough for me! It's much better then looking pastey white and much cheaper than a tanning salon!!!! :p

LORI WAKE UP!!!!!!:p }( :p }(

I just read your post from last night about barely eating anything yet feeling so full and it reminded me of last night!

I ate dinner as usual (though a bit on the early side which may be the culprit...not sure) and ate until I was full but a friggen 1/2 hour later I was back in the cabinets looking for food! I sat down with an apple...that wasn't enough. I ended up eating 2 morningstar veggie burgers. I was FINALLY full and then what happens? A couple hours later I'm plagued with a friggen stomach ache probably from eating too much!!! Well then why in the heck was I HUNGRY!?!? GRRRRR!x( x( x(

Hi Girls:)

Im just sitting down with my coffee:9 What did I drink before I drank coffee? I can remember being in Collage and everyone drinking coffee and I never ever got one when they went to pick up coffee...I think I use to get a donut instead:) No wonder I gained 17 lbs in collage!

I am so tired of this bloated feeling, I think I am going to post about it.Am I eating something wrong? Maybe I am sensitive to something? I dunno but I haven't been hungry since I woke up and I still feel bloated! Its an awful feeling.

Wendy, you are a chatty one today. You chat more when you get more sleep:) When I started running I had my own breathing pattern.I don't know if all runners are suppose to have the same pattern b/c I doubt anyone had mine:) I use to breath in two and out two, so instead of one big breath I would have the tinest pause. And thats what worked for me.How I breath now? Wouldn't be able to tell ya.Don't pay attention to it but if I get a stitch or something, I will resort back to my old breathing pattern.
And #1, don't get fustrated! You are going to have all these tiny things getting in your way while your body is getting use to running. You may have a wonderful run on Tues, think you finally have the hang of it,then Thurs run is a totally disaster! You will get stitches, shin splits, tight legs...you name it.But its all part of the game. And DH is right, I think at a slow pace you could do 2-3 miles without dying! I use to take the winter monthes off from running and I did strictly Cathe all winter. When the spring would come, I could still run just as far and not have any problems.Running and Cathe have to be at the top of the list in the workout world! They both take alot of endurance.

Good Morning Sara!! Getting a shower with a child awake? I guess it won't be a relaxing shower.

Where is everyone else? Missy, Charlotte, Susan, Marcia...what a lazy bunch. We will give susan the benefit though...she is further away then most of us.

I am going to go for a run today and legs, I think.I am going to have a look at the Jan rotation though.I was also thinking of comming up with a rotation that incorporated alot of circuit training and my weight training would be PH,ME,and MM.

I'm here...................... ;-)

I had such a long day at work yesterday 7am - 10pm (after all the meetings). Is it a bad sign when I struggle through a day loaded with meetings and today after those darn board meetings are over I'm just fine??? I get so stressed out on those days - I eat bad - never have time to exercise and just feel plain yucky!!! I need to find a way to combat this problem or I'm in for some trouble......

BUT - today is a new day AND I have in my position a new vehicle (well, new for me anyway) it's a 2002 Mountaineer Premium, I LOVE IT!!! It's much bigger than my blazer and loaded with 'stuff'. I had over 124,000 miles on my blazer so DH and I thought we better look into another used vehicle and found this little gem last week. It has a third seat in the back and sunroof - oh, just love it! Now, if the sun would only shine I could use it. :)

I am teaching step class tonight and very excited to burn off some of this stress from those meetings yesterday. }( Those girls better watch out!!!

I hope you all have a great day and I'll be back...........

~Marcia~

Morning, beauts! I have another busy day, so I have to get a move on. I will go back and read all of this thread later, I promise! :7

I am doing a 3 mile interval run today followed by some core. I am still not sleeping well, and I think it is PMS. Just in time for my anniversary. x(

Gotta run, gals!

Missy

Good morning my little friends. I'm at work, of course. I did 50 minutes on the bike this morning - 20 minutes interval and then the rest with my heart rate in the high 160's. My butt was sore on the seat though - I think from yesterday's walking lunges! Those even make my butt bones sore! :p

Wendy, you CAN do 2-3 miles. I know it. You're in great shape, so it won't be a problem. And Lori, don't forget that cycling is also up there with Cathe and running. My heart rate gets higher cycling than it EVER did running. That amazed me since I always thought cycling wouldn't be as good of a workout as running. WRONG! And I can ride a lot longer than I could run because it's so much easier on my body. Two hours of cycling and I don't feel it later. Two hours of running and I would be limpy the rest of the day.

Marcia - for those long meeting days, plan ahead. Since you know you usually don't eat well on those days, plan out your entire day of meals and have them with you. Don't cave to the junk food they have at the meetings. I was at a meeting a couple of weeks ago and they had pizza and DESSERT pizza - my favorite! I wanted a piece SO BAD, but I knew better. I knew it wouldn't help me reach my goals. And yes, it was just that once, but everything turns into "just that once" and then it's all the time. As for not working out on those days, make that your rest day for the week and be sure to work out all the other days of that week. YOU CAN CONQUER THIS! Back to that old saying - If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.

I had to wear tennis shoes with my skirt today to walk from my house across my driveway to my car. When I pulled my car out of the garage and got out I about slipped and broke my neck (oh, the drama!). So I did something I NEVER do - tennis shoes and nylons. Such a pretty look. What do the east coast girls do when they have to ride the subway to work in icy weather??? Wear flat shoes? Not an option for me today. Which reminds me - MY SHOES DON'T MATCH MY OUTFIT!!!!! I got dressed in the dark closet. Oh my. And I have a marketing meeting with the Animal Shelter so I can't even hurry home and hide!

Have a great day girls!!!!

Susan

Good Afternoon Lori, Marcia, Missy and Susan!:)

First let me say...Susan, you had me rollin' w/your shoe story! I did that once and I was not even the one to notice they didn't match! Someone at work did and they took a pic and hung it on the wall!!!   I would wear sneakers with a skirt if it were bad out....fashion is no reason to risk a broken leg!:p

Missy, hi there! Short post today! Hope you feel better! :)

Marcia, burn off the stress in class today! Best of luck with your new ride!;)

Lori, hey there. Well, I managed 2 miles in 23 minutes...this time includes a 1 minute warm up (had warmed up previously but got called to daycare shortly after arrival to change a poopie diaper!:+) and 2 minutes mid run doing a fast walk to check my heart rate. Once I hit 2 miles I slowed down b/c my legs were starting to ache and spent the next 7-8 minutes at a fast paced walk and was playin' with the inclines a bit. The treadmill doesn't reccomend you use the HR monitor on it when running so that's why I had to slow down to check it. I meant to bring my HRM but ofcourse, I forgot! x( Next time...then I won't have to stop and I'll have a constant monitor of it.

Just finished lunch...leftovers from lastnight...flounder fillet floured and cooked in a pan using the f/f butter spray stuff w/garlic and some rice.:9 Now a cup of coffee is a MUST!:+

So I felt really bad leaving little Joey in the day care at the gym. It's a large room with a bazillion kids running around crazy and I was sure he'd get trampled or something!:-( Well, ofcourse, mr socialite probably didn't even miss me because when I came back to get him he started whining! LOL He probably didn't want to leave!!!! I'm glad he was good....I was fearful of him not liking it and then what would I do!?

Okay, off to get that coffee! SLURP! YUMMY!:9 :7 :+

TRUE! LOL Are the shoes the same color atleast?
:7 :7 :7

Hi Girls,

The shoe story was funny and I bet you looked HOT Susan!! LOL Reminds me of when I was 7 and going to school wearing sneakers and a dress.Actually I have the pics to prove it.Tight curly hair to and everyone thought I was a boy...so there was a boy, wearing a dress and sneakers at school:)

I just got back from a run.We went outside. Some streets were a little wet b/c the snow is melting but it wasn't to bad at all.I think we did about 18 kms...which should have been around 9-10 miles.I haven't figured it out.
It was so nice to get outside.
I have to get ready for DD's b-day supper. Her b-day is tomorrow but I am working so I thought I would take her out tonight.Maybe I will take some pics and post them!

Lori:)

That reminds me of my elementary school days. I went to a Christian school, so we had to wear dresses. When we were younger, we wore shorts underneath our dresses so we could hang upside down on the monkey bars.

Oh yes Lori - do post pics. We LOVE pictures! :) Have fun with DD tonight!!!

OMG! I went out dancing w/DH over the weekend. It was to celebrate our anniversary. He wanted me to wear this skirt...the one I have on in my avitar. Well, we were going country dancing and there are lots of spins in that, especially during the couples dances so I told him I wasn't sure if this skirt would cut it cause it's pleated and "flowy" and quite short...he told me to go by the "bloomers" that cheerleaders wear so that if I spun around and my skirt came up, no one would see my underwear! Maybe I can just wear shorts instead! ;) LOL

In the end I did NOT wear that skirt...I put on ANOTHER skirt...just as short }( but it was straight so no flying up during the spins!;)
