Good Morning!:)

This is gonna be short but I wanted to make sure I started the thread!

Today I will be doing IMAX 3 for the first time. OMG I AM SUPER SCARED! I don't think I will attack the entire thing at once though...I think I will do a premix and work my way up as I did with IMAX 2. }( :eek: }( :eek:

Off to make my 2nd cup of java and then I have to go fetch my lazy son! LOL ;)

Good morning Wendy and to anyone else that follows,

I haven't checked in lately--I've been posting sporadically because I've been super busy and kind of in and out lately. DH doesn't have a car right now so I've had to cart his butt around. I don't mind though, especially on mornings like this morning. It is so friggin fraggin beautiful outside.

Been doing Leslie Sansone for cardio. I like her. I increase the instensity and it works well for me. I just really suck at step but I try to do BS or BF at least once a week.

I'm having my coffee right now, then it's time for Leslie, then I'm out of here to enjoy the gorgeous day! I hope you all have a wonderful day.

When I started seriously working about about 3 years ago I started with Leslie Sansone myself! I used her for cardio and the Great Body Guaranteed Series by Beach Body for toning. Then I moved on to the Firm and now here I am keeping up with Cathe!!! It's amazing how far you can come! Keep up the good work! :)
 
Hello gals:

Well, after two days of working out - I remember I said I was starting off "slow" -- well this is going to have to be rest day, or better stated, a "recovery" day. ha ha. I'm REALLY sore, but at least being sore means that I have worked out -- so I'm actually feeling good about it!

I love this thread -- this is going to keep me on track.

I've been working on my eating as well. (Even though I don't know much about nutrition, my plan is to print off the BFFM book.) Lately for lunch I've been eating the Starkist Lunch to Go (It is tuna with 6 crackers, mayo and relish and I combine it with a fruit.) I know that the crackers probably aren't the best thing -- but I HATE packing a lunch in the morning - and this is just EASY. Do you think this is a reasonable/healthy lunch?

HI Michelle with 2 l's. Enjoy your rest day--you've earned it! I love those tuna things. I have them alot.

Wendy, I haven't tried the Beach body work outs. I can keep up with Cathe's weight training DVD's but I cannot handle her cardio. I think it's because I'm developing arthritis. I have a lot of trouble with my left hip and the stepping up motion seems to aggravate it. I also can't handle all the turns. Which Leslie w/o's were your favorites?

Its good to see everyone is on the go with their workouts today.Im interested in hearing what Wendy thinks of Imax3:eek: How long have you had it? Don't tell me you have had it for ages and just haven't done it!?:eek:
Today will just be a run for me b/c of what I did to my arm yesterday, although...I could do a leg workout}( Its very windy and chilly here today and I have no reason to go outside.So when DD goes back to school after lunch , I have all afternoon:) My arms are very sore from yesterdays workout:eek: I did KPC which was bad enough but then I did some weights as well.Im not really in the mood to run todya though.We will see after I finish my coffee.
I haven't been on the scale so I don't know if I have lost anymore.I think I will putit off for a few more days yet,
I am working another night shift tonight but its not busy so you know what that means...a sleeping Lori:)

Thats funny that you should mention Imax3. I have been doing Cathes workouts on Fit Tv for about a year now and I just ordered my first dvd that I received yesterday. I preveiwed it first and knew I wouldnt get through the whole thing the first time, so I did just did half and I was so amazed at how tired I got. I thought I was in shape. I was very disapointed in myself. How many of you actually do the whole thing with no modifications
 
I do this workout all the time and on a 8" step...which makes me think that I am actually working harder then Cathe and her crew}( But there is that off day when those plie jacks get the best of me and I have to march in place.
Its good that you have something to work up to though.If we could all do a video on the first try it wouldn't be very good.

I just finished my workout.I did abs,5 mile run and 1/2 L&G.I only did 1/2 b/c I can't find my ankle weights and it was just a good excuse to stop:eek: I think I will do UB again tomorrow if DOMS is gone.

Hi Michele,

I had the orginal WATP set with the band thingie that you put around your waist. There was a 1, 2 and 3 mile walk in that set I believe. She started coming out with a whole bunch of other w/o's after I stopped using her...I liked the 3 mile walk the best. My band thingie broke relatively quickly though and that upset me. I started subbing with light DB's after that until I was ready to move on to different cardio.
Which of Cathe's weight work outs do you do? ME is a personal fave of mine.:)

Hi Lori.

I have had IMAX 3 for about a week now...didn't do it until now b/c I had to wait for an appropriate place in my rotation to use it.:) I did the int 1-5 premix. I liked it but it may take me a while to get through the work out in full. I spent some time standing still going "wtf!?!?" LOL so it probably wasn't QUITE as hard as it should have been. I also modified some of the blasts a bit. I got through the plie squats amazingly enough (I HATE THEM! LOL) but I modified that recovery to a wide march to make it easier on me. I also modified one of the sections where she jumps on and off the step to a basic. In the first blast where she jumps on and off, I did it but I was very nervous about it. I have avoided that move until now. I don't want to take a header into my weight rack or tv!!!:eek: I finished up with Power Hour's ab work b/c I did not do it yesterday...

Off to feed and change Joey!

Wendy, it does take a while to catch on to the moves but you will have them in no time.I think that is why I stick to Cathes workouts, not only do I enjoy her and her workouts but I always see something I am familiar with from previous workouts so I am don't normally lose my heart rate.When I buy other workouts thats when I am standing there and thinking "wtf"! I don't have time to waste on learning a new workout:eek:
I am just getting dinner ready and I am off to work again...but ya know I will be around!:)

Oh, I have been making some good dinners lately.I never use to cook alot b/c always worked Wed and Thurs nights and who cooks on Fri and Sat? Plus we always went to his moms on Sun.So I only cooked on Mon and Tues:eek: Now I am cooking all the time and drumming up different recipes b/c DH is a little pick when it comes to the side dish.
Tonight we had - Chicken Tornados (chicken wrapped in bacon:9 )
- Twice baked potatoes
- Broccoli cassarole
- corn on the cob for DD

I made everything as light as I could.Nothing was overly bad.How is it that if you workout consistently, eat till your comfortable...ya never lose weight? I never overeat and I will be here alnight long until 8 tomorrow morning and I won't have a bite of food, but I will stay this weight.I have to be hungry in order to lose pounds.Prehaps I should just except myself for what I am ....its not like its that bad;)

I haven't read through all the posts because I've been out most of the day and I need to leave again soon to pick up DH from work.

Lori, I hope your arm is feeling better. Your dinner sounds delicious!

Wendy, WATP for ABS was the first one I bought because it was on sale. It was a 3 VHS set with that belt thingy. Then I bought the WATP Express set and the 4 Mile Super challenge. I also have Walk and Kick (I haven't tried it yet), and Walk and Jog, which is okay but not great. At least it gives me a nice variety. My favorite one is just called 2 Mile Walk. It's an oldy from way back when. It has a lot more variation to the moves and a lot more arms. The tracker on this one actually tells you the MPH. At one point you're going at a pace of 5 MPH. I heard she's coming out with a 5 mile walk sometime in 2006. That would be great. I do the 2 mile a lot, but I'll do 2 miles in the morning and sometimes do another 2 mile DVD in the evening, so I'll have 4 miles in by the end of the day.

Hi Michele,
Dinner was good.I was teasing Dh and I told him that I was soon going to take a break from cooking!;) I use to enjoy baking sooooooooooooo much and I loved to eat it as well.I am hoping that I am going to get a new found love for cooking and not feel the need to bake:) I don't bake as much as I use to.I am really getting into digging up recipes though and having something different.I don't know what is on the menu for tomorrow, I am off all day so I can't justify eating out.

I am at work now and getting lazy.I have a plane comming soon and I should be able to relax around 12ish:) Maybe I will get a full nights sleep and not have to go to bed when I get off of work}( Wouldn't that be nice? Probably won't happen though.
Anyway....must see what else is happening!

Well, my brain is fried and my nerves are shot. I have a headache also so I have no patience to catch up and read the threads that I haven't read yet. x(

I'm doing good tonight, no? lol :p

It's been a LOOONG 4 hours!;(
I have been going crazy on and off with my little guy since before dinner time. He was tired and wouldn't nap so just got progressively more and more upset! He became totally inconsolable until he finally passed out from exhaustion but woke up 15 minutes later. :-( I gave him his last bottle at 8pm once he woke up and put him in his crib early in hopes that he will go to sleep for the night now...It's quiet up there so I'm hoping it is working! He needs the sleep DESPERATELY and now his momma needs the peace & quiet too. ;)

I made baked ziti. Two pans. One for moi with ww pasta and one for DH with regular pasta...yes, he can tell the difference!x( I made it with part skim cheese. It was yummo!:9
