Moment of Truth Sept 17

Hey girls,

I'm trying to get this workout finished today in between house cleaning. I've finished abs, SH shoulder and tri's, just go bi's left to do. Whew! My shoulders and tri's are on fire guys!:p I think tomorrow will be a sore day!x( I have been using heavier weights in these workouts today. I even impressed myself!:p


Hey Charlotte, it sounds like you're doing those bi's and tri's. I like the way my tricep swells when doing the exercise, just wished it stayed that way all the time. That is my strong muscle, my weakest is biceps and that is what is fixing to do and I will be finished! :7


Kali-Good job on not eating the doughnuts! you have some killer willpower! I probably would of eaten the whole box! Good job!:+


Well off to finish my exercising! Got 30 more mins!:D

Oh man you guys, Now I know why I always workout first thing in the morning!!!:eek:
I have trouble fitting in workouts on the weekend, so I guess I should be happy I did one today at all but BLAHHHHHHHHHH it was very frustrating!
DH left to cut grass (he has a side job landscaping/cutting grass) so I thought it was the perfect time to do MM. I got everything out, barbell, weights, dumbbells, band, step, weightlifting gloves, dvd...and changed clothes and shoes, and got started. 10 minutes into it the phone rang and it was my daughter needing a ride home (she wasn't supposed to come home until 5:00)! Soooooooooo of course, I threw a shirt on over my sports bra and went to go get her. Got home and she wanted me to sit with her while she ate her lunch. (she's 14, so I count my blessings when she WANTS me to spend time with her, so of course, I sat) After she got done, I started again, not as focused as I was before, but still determined to get it done. Well, I won't bore you with the details but I can't COUNT how many more distractions....house phone ringing, cellphone ringing, my indoor cat pushed a screen out of a window and got out.......she is declawed, I HAD to go catch her..........etc etc....
several hours later, I am finally done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!OMG
Yes, I am proud that I stuck with it, but I wonder how much good it did with so many breaks of so many different amounts of time!
I started out thinking I would do some cardio too but now I am just glad to finally get this over with and call it a day!!
Just thought I would share my frustration, but ultimate triumph!

Kali, way to go on not eating donuts. I love donuts, they are hard for me to pass up!! And good luck tonight! You'll do GREAT!!
And I've had apple cider donuts, they are TOO AWESOME!!!!!! MMMMM:9
Okay, now I better put everything away.....that's a workout all by itself!
 
Hi Girls,

Just a quick check in to say that I did not workout yesterday :( I was just plain lazy. But today I managed to get in S&H tri's and bi's plus IMAX 3 step portion only. We're going to a Red Sox game later, so I've been good all day so that I can have a Fenway frank and some beer :) Hopefully it won't rain.

Hope you feel better Wendy, and good luck w/ the Christening :)

Ok II just got back from the mall. I learned never go out when you have not ate enough. I started feeling really weird and nauseous so I left and came home and ate. I did however get some great candles and room fresheners from Yankee Candle. I love their stuff!

Charlotte- I did Gymstyle legs and later will do rythmic step. I hope you are getting your workout wrapped up. I like to divide mine up as well. That is I seperate cardio then later do weights or vice versa.

Hey everybody... I am doing a quick check in here, don't have much time. I did a quick read through on today's posts.

Wendy, Nancy - hang in there, chocolate isn't the end of the world!! (Oh that's right, it is the world:+ ). As hard as we work, I'm sure no damage was done. I'm sorry y'all are having a rough spot, tomorrow is another day, it'll get better. Wendy - quit worrying, tomorrow will be beautiful.

To everybody else... I caught up on your lives so far today. Looks like we are all doing good.

Me? .... I did have an Italian sausage with green peppers and onions on a roll for lunch. I get one every year there and it is the only Italian sausage I ever have so I didn't break with tradition. I had a chocolate covered frozen banana.. I thought how bad could a thin layer of chocolate dip be?

I had a cup of apple cider... no sugar added, just fresh from the apple itself... yum!!!

And I bought some muscadines, I love those things. I ate about five of the ones he had to sample. So not bad... they figure calorie-wise like a grape.

I plugged it all into fitday when I got home plus what I am having tonight at Longhorn, had to change the salmon to a salad with grilled chicken breast to fit in my calorie range since it is a deficit day. I am 100 calories over my 20% deficit and I'm pretty happy with that considering I was eating things I usually don't.

On well... I'd better hop in the shower, gotta go eat. After the Apple Festival, I had to go to Walmart and the grocery store. With the 90 plus degree temperatures, my hindend is dragging. No ME for me today folks.... I will get it in tomorrow and just change my rest day to today. Only six hours sleep last night and all this activity has be sooooo tired!
 
Hey if you all are ever at one of these festivals and find cinnamon roasted pecans let me know! I love them and cannot find them anywhere here. Well they have them at the labor day festival downtown and I forgot to go :( I would pay for them and postage as well. They are so YUMMY. Jane good job on your eating :)

Hey terri, I am doing pretty good today. I feel better now my workout is done. Between cleaning and that I can't believe I haven't fell on the floor! My abs are killing me already girl! I wanted to give up so bad.:p My arm workout was great, and hard! So I feel good about myself today!:7


Hope everything is going well with you today. I need to read some more on the post, but have been so busy! Are you abs still sore from the other day? Mine were, but I felt it in my legs more. I surprised I felt anything because I was so tired that day. I felt I didn't put my all into it!:-( And guess what? All of coremax is in my rotation in a couple of days! Um! I must be dumb as a bucket of rocks!:7 Hey you can do them with me! Yeah, I know you're saying "that b*tch is dumb!" Just kidding, but if you do we can tackle it again!:p

Hi Girls,

Sounds like everyone had a good day.I am happy with my workout today.Night shifts are very hard BUT I always get good workouts in b/c I don't do ANYTHING else...I don't cook or clean when I am working night shifts.DH is home all day, he can do it:)

Nancy- I have felt like that a time or two and we always manage to do it againx( :) Its always so easy to forget how we felt. I was driving today and all of a sudden I got the urge to go out tonight.I don't know why b/c I am not a big partier anymore and I am working so I can't anyway.Prehaps I am going through withdrawl from all the parties and weddings I had this summer.

Anyway,I should go and see if I have all my work done and then I can relax until 5 in the morning.

Thanks, Lori. Despite the unspeakable Kit Kat incident, I did manage to do CoreMax yesterday and PUB today. However, unfortunately, I felt too rotten to go to the gym.

Well I just finished working my triceps. I did bi's earlier. I had hoped to get in some core max 1 and 2, but I am winding down fast now. I am a taxi cab driver today. Took son at a X-Box party and daugther at friends.

Oh BLAH Terri, I wish I'd have known earlier!
They have them at Oktoberfest and we watched them add the cinnamon and went our of our minds from the wonderful smell!!!!
That is one of my very favorite things too and I was STRONG and didn't get them, ...............but now I regret it !!;(
Many of the festivals around here have them. They MIGHT have them at next weeks AppleFest and they ALWAYS have them at the Christmas festival we go to!!
OH BLAH!!!! I just realized the ones I saw today were ALMONDS, not pecans. I will be on the lookout for pecans though!;-)
 
Hey Charlotte, see you do bi's and tri's too. Girl I was spreading my workout all out through the day. It was a all day process!:p But I totally enjoyed it and felt like I did something! But I tell you, I hate being weak in my biceps and to make it worse the wrist I have tendonitis in makes it difficult to lift heavy as I want. I had to go down in weight on one exercise because the wrist couldn't take it. But I was still burning them!:p



From you pic you don't have any weakness in your bi's! Lucky you!:)

Hey everybody.. just got back from Longhorn. I am getting ready to go to bed in little bit... it's only 8:00 but I am so tired. I have to work tomorrow first shift. It is the extra day we are all picking up on the weekends since your weekend-only second shift person had to quit in July due to health reason. I am working 6 to 2:30 tomorrow though because I got put on the same day as the regular second shift person (regular second shift through the week) and she asked me if I would work first Sunday and she'd take second. I said, are you kidding? of course I will. That made my day a few weeks ago when she asked. I HATE SECOND SHIFT. They've hired somebody and we need to get her trained on the system. We'll have to do this next month but hopefully in Nov she will be able to go it along and we'll be back to one weekend a month.

I did okay at Longhorn but did have a little more honey mustard dressing with my grilled chicken salad than I should have, a shot of grenadine in my diet coke, and a small piece of bread, so I am over 333 calories so I am counting today as a big calorie day also and starting on my three deficit days tomorrow. All's good though because I have not binged, everything has been controlled. It was just the circumstances today with the Apple Festival and DH feeling neglected and wanting to go out to eat. I abandoned him for the concert last night and today for the Apple Festival so I couldn't say no when he wanted to go out to eat.

I'm a little too talkative, so I'll hush now. As mentioned earlier, I'll take this as my rest day and do ME tomorrow. With the 2 1/2 hours of walking I did at the Apple Festival, it was a very active rest day.

Hey Kim,

You know, when I spread out my workouts throughout the day when my children are here, they think I am "obsessed". They are like..."aren't you done yet"? LOL!

I am not sure what to tell you if you have tendonitis in your wrist. I am sorry to hear that. Continue to do what you can do and don't push yourself beyond what you can do. I know when I curl with the 50 pounds my forearms burn some, but not as bad anymore as I think I am adjusting to the weight better.
For now, my weakness is in my chest. I need to get better at pushups. It is ongoing.

Diet Coke is a magical word...think I will have some now! Thanks for reminding me. I knew I wanted something, but couldn't figure out what. LOL! Now everytime I think of ya, I am thinking of apple orchards and the great outdoors. I would love to hang out with ya!

Thanks Becky! I do love them and I figure a few nuts are good for you. I when I have some spread them out over several days and add them into my calories and subtract something out :)

Let me know how the movie is. One of the last ones I seen was Brother Grimm, and it was pretty darn grim...let me tell ya! Glad your not seeing that one! LOL!

Charlotte, Funny you mention that movie we almost picked that one:) I am baking chicken right now and it needs to hurry up. I am hungry and on a time crunch now. It is almost 7:30 here and I have to leave at 9. I still have to get dressed as well. I had to take another shower after cardio of course :)
