Moment of Truth October 18

This is the second day in a row that I have started this thread, where are you you lazy bums???}( }( }(
I hope that everyone slept well last night. :D I got up and as soon as my kids heard the door they all came at me at one time out of their rooms. Sheesh! :p You would think that they thought I could make them breakfast or something. I am so tempted to tell them to go and wake up their father and hit him up for some breakfast, but I know that he had a late night because he hang out with the guys to watch the football game so.....wait a minute. He has gotten to hang out with his friends about 5 times in the last two weeks and I have gone nowhere, so......that means that I will send the kids in there to wake him up and make them breakfast!!!}( }( }( }( }( I am not nice today!

I am not sure what w/o I am doing yet, but DS is hanging all over me, so gotta go.

I will be back to chat later, gals! Love ya!

Good MOrning Missy!

I have been up for a while but DH and his friend have a meeting to go to and I am watching his kids. They are friends of ours and his wife is gone away b/c her grandfather died. But I have only one kid now and its the smallest one...and he is high maintence. He is doing pretty good though, I thought he was gonna have a heartattack when he noticed his brother was missing but he doesn't seem to care:)

I think I am going to wait until after lunch to workout. My mom is comming into town today so I am going to cut her hair before lunch, then I will have all afternoon to myself.I thought I might have to go to the mall with her but my Aunt is comming with her so they will be fine together.

Oh no...he just noticed his brother is gone. This is not a child that is easily distracted either!

Must go...where is Charlotte and Wendy..sleepy heads!!!!!
Lori:)

Missy, I just read your post from yesterdays tread.I totally agree with what you said, why can't people be happy for others? Beats me!
No DH doesn't look like he eats out alot.He is very slim but I worry about his health.I know that someday it will catch up to him.And I don't really mean in the waistline, I mean in the heart! He will have things clogged that he didn't even know he had!!!!
I also hear youon the guys going out thing while the wife stays home.DH says its my own fault and thinks that I should plan more things with my friends. And he is probably right but when you have kid and work full time, the last thing I want to do is hang out at someone elses house.I like being home with my pj's on, curled up on the couch! Im usely sleepy around 10:30:eek:
Lori:)

Hello Missy and Lori.

You two have certainly been my entertainment the past 2 days! LOL :p

I just woke up, weighed in and now I am waiting for my java to brew! I lost another pound and my BF went down again!!! I've lost 9 pounds (as you can see below)and 2.55% body fat since I started this on 8/16! WOO HOO! :7 My belly is flatter than I have seen it in YEARS!!!!! I am still heavier than I was before I got PG but my body actually looks BETTER for the most part! Thank you Cathe!:+

Anyway...BM last night was a bust. I started doing the warm up and my right ankle was hurtin as well as my left knee??? Not to mention my calves which were sore anyway! So I got mad b/c I knew it wouldn't be wise to attempt a w/o like BM in that condition so I finished the w/u gingerly and then did the upper body and ab sections of the w/o. Today, if I can muster it, my plan is to do the leg circuits from BM and then move on to today's work out in the rotation which is Step Fit. I'd like to try to split this up into 2 work outs. I am just gonna nix the step-only section of BM ~~~ No biggie.

Okay, my java is done brewing so I must go retrieve it!

BBS!:)

Good morning Missy, Lori, and Wendy,

I've been up awhile but DH left late for work this morning. I'm just having my coffee before getting started on the day. AAAAHHHHH! Can't function without my java.

I'm doing some cardio today--probably Leslie Sansone. I did walking lunges yesterday and my quads are really sore. I want to do PH today to--I don't know if I'm going to do the leg portions or not. I definitely need the upper body and ab work.

Well, I didn't have any kids charging after me today, unless you count the hubby which is like 4 or 5 kids, and my kitty. If I don't serve up the kitty food right on time the cat goes crazy! He'll jump on the bed and meow like a maniac--LOL!

Wow Wendy--congrats on your weight loss:) :D ;) . That's fantastic. I have put weight on over the last couple of years and I'm stressed about it. I'm old and post menopausal and I gain weight by looking at food. My doctor told me that a corpse in the grave has a higher metabolism than I do--LOL:) x( ;( She was teasing but she did say that I need to exercise to keep weight off and that any weight gain will be hard to loose and she was absolutely right.

Well, I'm off to get started. If I don't go now I won't get my w/o done. Yesterday I sat at this computer all day--I can't let that happen today--I have way too much to do. I'll check in later. Have a great w/o everybody:)

Michele

Good Morning Beautiful Women!!!!

Wendy,

I see your losing more weight! So happy for you!!! My weight is back to 115 and I am staying happy with it. I am tired of struggling to gain weight. I like what I see in the mirror so I am just sticking with what I am doing.

Michele,

My cat leaves puke for me to clean up often. Mostly fur balls. Such a joy! LOL! My dog puts her head over my face when I am trying to do any floorwork workouts so I can't breathe very well. Another joy!

Lori,

I am no sleepyhead this morning. Wide awake. I have DOMS in my trapz. Weird, never had it there before. At least I can say that I wake up every morning with DOMS in a different part of my body everyday. Makes life interesting! My grass is 20 feet high and I need to mow tomorrow. I don't even want to look out the window...think OCD is kicking in today. LOL!

Terri,

Where have you been?

Becky,

I know your around...come out wherever you are! This is no hide and seek we are playing!

Missy,

I got your pm last night
:7

Wendy,

I am sorry to hear about your car. I hope you work everything out. I know it is even harder since it is a neighbor as I know neighbors need to keep peace amoung themselves. Hope you can still live in harmony with the idiot.

Charlotte~~

Lori, how long are you sitting? I have my gorgeous nephew coming over here any second. Here he is!!! He is sleeping! Awww!!! I will have him until about noon. Then I will go and run since it is a beautiful day and I am doing chest and triceps this morning. Have you washed your hair yet? :+ Oh, and DH says that to me, too. He actually encourages me to go and do stuff because he feels bad that I do so much of the work around here and he goes out. I feel bad because I don't want to go out because I am tired and I want him to stay home and be worn out like me!!! Isn't that aweful!!! My day starts so much earlier than his, even when I don't work out and by the end of it I am pooped! He goes to work and gets a break when he comes home, and I am always here so there are no breaks for moi, and that is tiresome. This sounds like a vicious cycle, doesn't it? x( At least I love what I do!!!:)

Wendy, did you take those quizes yet? There are so many of them. Some are silly, but fun! :) I am sorry about your aches! Is there any swelling anywhere?

Michele, I would just do PH upper bod since you did lunges yesterday and are sore. That means you worked those puppies good enough! :D If I don't work out, my digestive system doesn't move anything anywhere. I am never hungry and I have zip energy. Just feeling gross and yucky. I hate to think about how I would feel post menopausal! Thank goodness for exercise!!! Isn't this addictint? I feel like I could sit here all day and read what everyone writes. But for some reason I can't keep up on the <--- thread. Everytime I get up, someone writes something new and then I forget what everyone else said and then I have to start over again. :+ Too much work for me!

Charlotte, did you see the game last night on the haunted tv with DH? I bet he was in HEAVEN!!! What is on your agenda for today?

Missy

Missy

Hi Michele,

Sounds like you are having the same problems as my mom. She has put on some weight and is now struggling like crazy to get it off. Problem is that, unlike you, she doesn't exercise and doesn't want to really except for the occasional walk downtown in nice weather.

I am in my early 30's and am definately feeling how much harder it is to lose weight since I hit 30 even! Why can't we all stay 29 forever? ;)

Hey Charlotte,

Thanks for the congrats on my weight loss!:+
You look great so I would stop worrying about gaining weight also if I were you!:)

DH already wanted to move out of this town so badly...now, forget about it! If he could move tomorrow he wouldn't blink an eye! He is sooo ready to leave now that this has happened w/the car!
I'd love to move to but I'm a bit more of a realist about wether we can afford it or not so I'm not looking to relocate tomorrow! ;)

Well, time to get lazy baby up!

TTFN!:)

Good griff...they are finally crawling out of the bed!:) Maybe you had to do the "dirty, dirty" before you were aloud out of bed!:7 :7 Fess us Charlotte!!!!

Missy- Im not sure how long I am taking care of him.I am at my house now.I stole him:) DH and his friend are looking at a business opputunity and I think the meeting went really well b/c they called and asked if I could watch the little guy a little longer b/c they are trying to get as much done in the a.m as they can.I hope something comes out of it. Anyway,I was tired of hanging out there b/c you can't do things in other peoples houses and I had a few messes to clean up.The thing is my daugthers toys are no good for him so he is playing with a cell phone:) I have washed my hiar a few times.I washed it last night and I put it in a braid.I am not sure if I will do it today or if I will go around with a ball hat on my head. I don't think I am going anywhere so I don't see the point in frying my hair for no reason.

Michele- Atleast you know whats wrong with you! The rest of us don't:+ Sometimes I think that my metobolism mught be zip but when I really try at it, I don't have a problem losing weight.

Charlotte- I guess you are just going to have to settle for 115 lbs.I am going to sell some of my body weight on ebay if you want to bid:7

Wendy- Are you drinking the coffee out of the pot with a straw????

Lori

Missy,

I did not watch football. I can't stand how loud the talking heads sound on there...drives me nuts. Can't speak softly like on the weather channel so I am not listening to someone sounding all obnoxious! I hate loud noises in the evening..just me though. Maybe it is because I listen to loud music all day long. Dunno. Just a guess. LOL!

Lori,

I would love to tell you, I really would. I know you want to know. LOL! Well I don't kiss and tell. Sorry! LOL!

Anyhow, I would love to bid on your body weight. How many pounds are you selling at one time? I only need ten, but it has to be pure muscle. I am not settling for fat...I could just eat donuts all day and get my own. LOL!

ETA: You know I am not saying you have fat, cuz I don't see any and I know what your bodyfat already is. Just speaking all innocent today and so don't think too much, o.k? So you gonna burn muscle off for me just to sell? That would be sad though. I hate to see you burn muscle though.

Charlotte~~

Just curious, are there any shows that you simply cannot miss??? I know that there are Lost and Desperate Housewives threads here. I was just wondering if anyone watched anything else. I myself LOVE Law and Order, SVU, CI and the original. Honestly, it really makes me republican like nothing else has. I haven't decided if that is good or bad yet... :+ I also have a thing for Conan O'Brien. He is so hilarious!!! I tivo him a lot. I am getting ready to watch last night's episode. I used to watch ER, but most of the cast gets on my nerves now. Other than that, I don't watch anything else, anyone else?

Missy

Okay--I have the butt glue problem that was being discussed awhile back. Just one last post then I have to get going :7 LOL!!

Love, love, love Law and Order (especially the older epis on TNT) and CSI (the original one). My DH hates both shows so he sits up in our bedroom and watches German TV (he's fluent in German so he subscribed to 3 German channels). I also like 3 cooking shows but I don't watch them religiously: Rachel Ray's 30 Minute Meals, Everday Italian, and The Barefoot Contessa.

Hey--You gals are fun. Thank you Wendy for reminding me that I'm OLD ENOUGH TO BE YOUR MOTHER!!!LOL ;( :)

Charlotte--I love your posts--you're all optimism and sunshine. I like that. If anyone can find a bright light in a dark hole, you can!:D

Missy and Lori--you two are a hoot. Missy, I don't care what you DH would say, you're definitely the head cheerleader! :D

Michele

Michele, I see that you are still posting and are not working out. What is up with that, huh? Scrape the glue off your butt and get moving, girl!

did you really say cheerleader? I wonder if you meant to say drill sargeant??? :+ :p

I agree that Charlotte is so cheery. I think that I would be lost without her bright enthusiasm!

Did you see that Chris Noth has returned to Law and Order? He is on CI. I think that he is alternating episodes with Vincent D'Cantremembertherestofhisname and that cool girl, Forgother Nametoo. Don't answer me, get moving and workout! I will do PH upperbody with you, how about that? When my nephew wakes up, I will feed him and then set him at his playstation and start doing pushups. We can do this!!!

Missy

"Thank you Wendy for reminding me that I'm OLD ENOUGH TO BE YOUR MOTHER!!!LOL"

******************

Oh dear,Michele! I'm sorry! LOL Didn't mean to do that! Just wanted you to know that you are not alone in your struggle! Forgive me please? :D

Hi Gals,

Seems like everyone is having a good day. Mine is going pretty good and hopefully it will get better.:)
I just got back from a walk with a friend but for some reason I don't consider a walk great exercise.I need to sweat or feel the burn, then I feel worked out. I ate a late breakfast and it was oatmeal and it is really sticking to my ribs.I am not one bit hungry yet and that was 2 hours ago.I thought I would be hungry by now.I may have a snack anyway so that when dinner rolls around I won't eat the legs off of the table.

Charlotte- Your not gonna tell me what you did today? And you are saying that I am fat! Well, your just mean, mean, mean;( ;) I will sell you 5 lbs of muscle and 5 lbs of fat.Take it or leave it:)

I must decide what I am doing...feeling sort of nappish.I should suck my days off for all its worth!
Lori:)

AAAHHHH! It's all done! :) I just strung BM power circuits and Step Fit together in one work out. Took me a while...60 solid minutes of huffing and puffing not including the w/u, c/d and stretch! I feel good about it though. Now I no longer feel guilty for last night!:p

I'm eating a couple of morning star farms tomato basil veggie burgers right now. YUMMY! :9 In a few I have to jump in the shower as it's just about time to wake up Joey from his nap and feed him.

I'll be back!

TTFN.:)

Lori,

I am in a total funk over my DD. I know, I was suppose to be giving her space...well she is taking advantage of the freedom. Her new boyfriend might as well be some blood sucking vampire! Uh, he is no good for her. I hate parenting right now. I am sick, sick, sick of trying to guide her in the right direction only for her to go the other way. I don't even want to eat today. She is falling for him even more and the only way to stop it is to tell him that he can't see her anymore. He likes to listen to songs about suicide, etc. He is a very depressed individual and I fear he is influencing my DD waaaayyy too much. I know I shouldn't be throwing this on you, but I am just miserable today. Just miserable! My DD is a good girl, why is she even attracted to this nightmare?????
I should be doing ME twice today, but instead I am cleaning out closets and rearranging things just to get my mind off of this.

Charlotte~~

Charlotte,

Sorry for butting in here...

I can't speak from the experience of motherhood at this point but I can tell you that pretty much EVERY teenage girl is bound to give thier parents agida over a boy whom the parents don't think is good for her but who she seems to fall harder for every day!

I was famous for falling for the "bad boys"! If there was a loser with in 20 miles, I would find him and date him, I swear!!!! Even as an adult (before DH ofcourse) it happened to me!

Unfortuately I think that if you try to keep them apart it will only push them closer...stand by and be watchful over them but don't push. Your DD seems like she has a good head about her...she will figure it out for herself and then you can be there to pick up the pieces when it's all over. She'll be okay. She just needs time to see him for who he really is...and SHE WILL! Not as fast as you want her too maybe...but she will! I hope this makes you feel a little better! :)

Again, sorry for being a budinsky on this one!:)

I agree with Wendy on that point especially. Is she and her daddy really close? I have found fathers to be especially influencial over their little girls from what I have witnessed. My daughter feels extremely secure whenever she and DH go on dates. I really think that if your DH would take your DD on a "date" and just have fun, no boy talk or anything like that, it is really setting a higher standard for your daughter to have in men.

I know that most girls have to go through the stage of dating the bad guys to learn a lesson, too. I know it is hard as a mother, but it is how our kids grow. You learn best from experience. You are a wonderful mother, you really are. Just be there to listen when she needs someone, and let her know how important and special she is. I can feel your pain, I truly can, and I will pray for you, and I want you to offer it up in prayer, too. Trust God to guide your daughter because believe it or not he loves her more than you do. :D

I hope that when my time comes around that I will remember that, too!
