Moment of Truth Oct. 17

Hey, is this thread open to all comers? I was going to to PH today and I didn't get to it because I was a posting fool today. (I hope you all aren't mad at me--I try to be nice but then.....}(). I'll do it tomorrow.

Michele

No excuses, Michele. You must workout out or you will be banned from this forum! That is if your wicked posts weren't enough to get you banned! }( }( :+ :7

IT IS SO GOOD TO SEE YOU!!! I have missed you since the Personal Goals went kapoot! How is your cold? I hope that it is better since the last time we talked, at least it better be! Antiquing lately?

Ugh, Barney is now singing his infamous I Love You song. He is so annoying but he is teaching such wonderful things, and Logan loves him so I won't complain. Just this once....:p

Lori, Charlotte and I aren't following any rotation but our own and I think that Wendy is still doing the October rotation, but sure! Join us! The more the merrier! We are a very chatty group, and sometimes Charlotte is high on pot so we can be fun too (love you Charlotte! :p )J/k. she only smokes crack! :+

Missy

Hey Missy--It's good to see you too!! I posted a reply to you on another thread (I don't remember which one now).

My cold turned out to be pneumonia and I was pretty sick for a couple of weeks. I'm pretty good now but still have a teency weency little bitty cough. In the midst of all that there was a death in my family and I spent a few days out of town for that. DH and I took a little trip this weekend to unwind and relax a little bit--we really needed it.

I've been eating vast quantities of crap and I really need to clean it up. DH and I went to northern Indiana this weekend. Saturday we went to Amish Acres and ate apple turnovers for lunch. YUUUUMMMMYYY!!!! }( Then we went to Middlebury and had broasted chicken and mashed potatoes for dinner at Das Dutchman Essenhaus. It was baaaaaad, very, very bad--but fun and delicious }( :) ;)

Michele

Hey Michele,

You are quite welcome here! :)

We talk about working out a little and we talk about our diets a little but mostly we just talk! :p

Hope to see you around here more!:+

Missy,

I haven't had a chance to check my email since I asked you send that to me...I'll go ahead and check it after my work out which I will be getting to in about 15 minutes I hope! I just have to let my supper settle a bit! :)

Hey Wendy!!

Thank you kindly;) :D

I love Joey's pictures. He is sooooo cute. :+ I love Clyde too. My doggies are gone now and I really miss them. We had long haired dachshunds and let me tell ya--they were a handful! They had so much personality but they could be snippy little buggers. DH wants another dog so bad but we're gone quite a bit and would have to board them and I hate that so much. I think I'll wait awhile--a couple of years, then get another dog or 2.

Michele

Hi Michele,

Thanks, Clyde was our first baby and is still the bigger of the 2 babies in the house! :+ :p

DH has a couple of relatives who have dachsunds...one has the long haired and the other the short haired...very cute and sweet but the short haired one is sooo spoiled by his owners that he barks non stop if he doesn't get the attention he wants. I never realized how bowl-legged those dogs are either! So funny! :+

Welcome Michele!:) We love company! The more people we can cerupt the better:+ And if Missy made me workout then you best get to it.

Lori:)

Hi Lori!

Well, I did a couple hundred walking lunges so I'm going to let that count as my w/o today. I still need to go to the grocery store. I keep getting sidetracked. I haven't posted much in the last couple of weeks--just a couple here and there. Boy, Isure made up for it today. Gosh, I hope I haven't left a wake of death and destruction! LOL}( :D

Michele

Michele, N. Indiana?!? I live in Indiana! I love Amish Acres! I haven't been there since I was a kid, but it was very cool!!! Where do you guys live?

Missy:7

Lori,

I read your post. LOL..on keeping legs closed! That is something that I would say. I mean to each their own. I would never want that many children, but if she does...well, it is her life.

Charlotte~~

We live in southwest Ohio between Dayton and Cincinnati. My husband's family is from Indiana. His mom grew up in Marion and his dad was from Decatur. Both of his parents went to medical school at IU then moved to Ohio. They still maintain a family farm in Jonesboro and a cottage on a lake in northern Indiana. My DH went to undergraduate school at Earlham in Richmond. So, we have major ties to Indiana.

My aunt passed away rather suddenly. It was unexpected and I was pretty shaken by it. I come from a close knit family and we have been rocked by tragedy over the past two and half years.

My mom started the downward spiral when she passed away in March of 2003. Seven months later an uncle died, then 7 months after that another aunt, my godmother, died. She passed away 3 months after she was diagnosed with cancer. In this same span of time, I also lost 2 dogs and a kitty---so, it's been a tumultuous couple of years.....and that's just my side of the family. There have been some deaths on my DH's side as well, and his dad has had a number of health problems so we've been through the proverbial ringer. I'm 50 years old now and all of my aunts and uncles are getting up in years. It's expected, I know, and nobody lives forever, but it's still very sad and I really mourn these losses. I have a pretty neat family!

Well, now that I've depressed you all I need to get the trash out
;) (I almost forgot last week and I literally chased the garbage man down the street in the morning--LOL!).

Michele

Like my mom says, it never rains but it pours.I think bad news comes it packs! Unfortuately! I have never experienced a lot of death in my life thus far.But I know the day will come and hopefully I will find the strength that you have found to get through it.

I am done my workout and now I am having some pineapple juice,OJ and Diet 7 up and I threw a couple of strawberries in there to.

Lori:)

That sounds great Lori--good girl. I had chicken and carrots. I don't think I ate enough but I'm just not that hungary today. I ate so much crap over the weekend I feel toxic!! LOL:D :D :D

I don't know about how strong I am, but I do believe we're not given more than we can handle. I appreciate the opportunity you guys gave me to vent. That helps alot.;)

Michele

Did you like that ? Read my next post, its even better.
I totally agree to each their own, Im not about to shun you b.c you stay at home, or shun someone for wanting 16 kids, or shun someone for wanting no kids.We are fortunate enough to live in two countries wher we get to make our own choices and live a safe life. And I am ceratinly not going to judge someone for doing what makes them happy....right???????????:) But Im with you...there won't be 16 kids passing through my birth canal!
Lori:)

We only let you vent b/c we may needs your ears later:) We use each other around here!:)

I sort of cut back on my food intake and I am not really going to count my cals that much.So I was hoping to be a little hungry before I went to bed tonight b/c thats when I lose any weight the most. But I am not hungry yet, Oh well. I am sure I will be when DH gets home and puts a nacho tray in front of me.
Lori:)

How are doing on training DH to eat? Does he still want you to help him, Lori? DH, though I love him, eats worse than anyone I know besides his mother, and she has every health problem imaginable that isn't cancer. He is doing just fine though, thank you, and he doesn't need to change his eating because....because he is crazy. I really worry about his future, though. I cook very healthy dinners so he at least gets one good square and balanced meal a day.

Michele, I live just north of Indy. I am from Gary (no comments, now!) and still have family in the region, but I love it down here. It is so pretty and still country! :7 I have friends in Dayton. You don't live that far from me! :7 :7 :7 :7 :7 Good to have a Catheite that I like living in close quarters!

I know what you mean about it pouring. DH's mom lost her mom, dad and husband all within six months. If that doesn't suck, what does? You are right though. We are never given more than we can handle ever, and the stregth is always there when we need it. :)

Missy

DH begs for help after he as eaten crap and feels like crap. Then he forgets how he felt and won't ask for help again until the next bout!:) I wanted him to workout with me yesterday when I was doing weights but he had partied a bit late at the wedding so he said there was no way that his body could do it.I beleived him.
Is eating is not as bad as it once was b/c he can't buy take out like he use to.He use to be on the road alot and had a company visa so he ate out alot.I think he did pretty good today.
Man, I won't be able to go near anyone tomorrow with this garlic breath that I have! Can you smell it through the computer?
Lori:)

LOL!!! that is your funky breath? I thought that it was still mine! I love garlic, but it does keep more than just vampires away. :p

I just got done reading your email. I hope that she wasn't right about you having to wait a year!!! You know, just ask God and he will give you exactly what you need! :)

I did read your post about the 16. I don't understand why others can't just be happy when others are happy. Especially when it doesn't change their day. Did you read mine? I get so frustrated and mad that some people can be so self-righteous and ignorant at the same time. I really hope that I don't sound like that. There are things that I feel very strongly about and I hope that I don't make others feel bad because I don't feel the same way. *sighs* Moving on....

DH is gone again tonight. Football game this time. He is over at my best friend's house with her husband watching the game!! ;( ;( ;( I am really not that sad though. We are iming each other. :7 Plus, I get to go to bed early and of course stay here and talk with you! :*

BTW, your DH doesn't look like he eats out a lot, and I am not trying to creep on what is yours, but he looks pretty good. Does he work out at all? DH always complains about how bad his stomach hurts and he will never eat fast food again. And yet 12 hours later.... you know that story! Now whenever he complains, I play the violin for him. Sorry honey, but if you are just going to complain and not do a thing to change, you get no sympathy here! But I do love him! :p
