Good Morning Chickie Poo's!:)

Im just waiting (once again) for my relief to get here and then I am outta here! I didn't get much sleep here last night so I have no choice but to go to bed when I get off.I had a little snooze and then DD called to tell me she had a bad headache and she was crying. There wasn't a pill in the house so I went to a 24 hour place and took some tylenol home to her.By the time I got there, she had been throwing up and she felt better. That always happens with her.She use to get headaches all the time but hasn't had one in a while but after she throws up she always feels better.Thats why we thought her headaches were triggered by something she ate.Anyway, by the time I got back here it was 4:30 and I was wide awake.
I was talking to my sister last night and her DH thinks that I need a heavy duty treadmill for all the running I do.What do you think? Should I splurge and get a $3000 one, like they have at gyms? DH can get me one for wholesale price through work but it will probably still be more then I wanted to pay for one.
There was a message last night on my phone from a girl I loaned workouts out to.She wanted me to call her b/c she wanted to give me the workouts back plus she wanted to talk to me about what ones she should order.I didn't get a chance to call her back yet b/c I have a feeling it will be a long conversation but I loaned her 2 circuit workouts.I know I gave her C&W and I am not sure what other one.Apparently she as lost 18 lbs since she as been doing the videos.Isn't that awesome!? I think we are going to have another cathite on our hands:)

Sorry so long! Today is cardio for me but I think I am going to do legs to b/c I have more time today and I will have less time tomorrow to do it.I will check in when I wake up!
Lori:)

Hi Lori and all that follow:

Your treadmill dilema is a good one. It sounds like you use it A LOT, but that's a lot of money for one. Maybe since he could get you one at wholesale he could keep his eye out for one that is of great quality, but not quite so expensive???? But, I guess you get what you pay for, too???

We have another snow day here in Minnesota. My DS is extremely excited and won't stop talking about all the things he's going to do today. One, believe it or not is CLEANING!! I'm going to take advantage of that you can be sure. :)

I am actually excited, too, my DH will be going to work and I'm sure DS will be outside playing in the snow with the neighbors a lot of the day so I will have plenty of time for a long workout and cleaning.

I know I will be doing Cardio Coach #3, it's the only one I haven't tried out yet, but I should do another workout since I will have time and I'm pretty pumped for a good one. Any suggestions?

Sorry so long - talk more later........
Marcia.

Lori, you NEED a heavy duty treadmill. With as much as you run, you will just run down (pun intended) anything less than super-heavy duty within another year! :p Happy huntin! Oh, and that is awesome about your friend! I bet that she is feeling really great about herself! Tell her just to get them all :+ I let my sister borrow Abhits after Nathan was born, but she hasn't tried it yet and she has had it for 8 months and I want it back! ;( She says that it won't work in her DVD player, have any of you guys had that problem?

Marcia, gosh, you have a son who is excited about cleaning!!! How did you do that? Tell me every little secret! I have a daughter who is just like that kid on Peanuts with the nasty blanket - everywhere she goes a mess follows! Her room - don't get me started! I will have a pounding headache just trying to figure out where any of her stuff it! How old is DS? Cardio Coach, is that a treadmill workout? When is the last time you worked arms? If you want a killer upper body workout, just let me know and you can tack that on to your workout today! }( }( }( }( }(

Sara, Wendy, Charlotte: wake up sleepy heads!!!!

Susan, it sure would be hard for me to say no to that precious little pooch. There should be a special kind of punishment for those who would hurt kids and those who would hurt animals - they are defenseless and innocent, and I think offenders should be thrown in a pit of alligators. What are you leaning towards? What does DH think?

Well, I am doing a four miler, I think I will make it hilly, and then a segment of core max, maybe tough core. I also have to grocery shop and if it is nice enough I am going to look at some shrubs and grasses to put in the back yard and I will create a new bed to plant my lilies and dahlias - and whatever else I may pick up today! :p

have an awesome one!

Missy

Hi Missy - Well, i can't by any means take the credit for DS's obsession with cleaning, that came from his father 100%. DS is 9 and actually loves to clean. My DH is not an obsessive clean person, but things have their place and that's where they should be, well, he pretty much installed that in DS. In fact, DS told me a few days ago while pointing at my shoes on the floor that "They don't belong there, mom, you better put them in your closet"!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT. I was laughing so hard I had tears streaming down my face.

Yep, cardio coach is the treadmill workout that I've really gotten addicted to. What's your ideas for an upper body workout??? I have to admit I'm a cardio-girl through and through, I really struggle to do a weight workout most of the time. Any suggestions on how to change my mentality????

Have a great day everyone,
~Marcia~

Me again, Missy, you look great! I just took a quick look at your pics and you look awesome! What type of regime did you do for your transfirmation???

Marcia.

Good Morning Yackety Yacks!

Gosh, I can't keep up with you all and your post! I will read later. I have a eye doctor's appt this morning. My eye doctor is really nerdy and robotic. Trips me out every time!!! LOL! I guess he just really gets into it and ask the same questions over and over again.

Anyhoo, I am glad Marcia is hanging out with us over here!

Lori,

I did read that you might get another treadmill? You know you will want one that might last longer and be better suited for your needs. I would definitely invest since you use it all the time. Hope your DD feels better. I use to get migraines alot. They always make me sleepy, my eyes will hurt and I can't stand the slightest noise.

Missy,

You know you are a beautiful woman! I checked out your pictures yesterday and I always laugh at that pose where your covering your backside! Your too much! What is to cover? I think it is all in your pretty head!!!

Susan,

You are still sleeping or something? By the time you get on, I will be off...so I hope you are getting all sweaty too today with your workouts.

Wendy,

I seen those slut boots of yours. Mighty slutty, if I do say so myself! You look great!

Sara,

How are you feeling today?

Charlotte~~

Hello Lori, Marcia, Missy, Charlotte and Sara!

Lori, is there something wrong with the treadmill you currently have or are you just in the market for a new one now?

Marcia, sounds like you will be having yourself a nice "MOM DAY"...everyone needs that...even those who aren't moms! Everyone needs that time for themselves.:)

Missy, ooooh, plants and flowers....I always wanted to make my yard look pretty but I have no clue how to go about it so we have been in the house almost 3 years and it's still just a lawn of bad grass.:-(
Have fun with that and your run!:)

Charlotte, thanks re the boots!

Sara, how are you this morning? Got any crazy cleaning plans for today? ;) I was in Costco last night and picked up a pair of Adidas running shoes for $25.00! :)

So yesterday was mine and DH's wedding anniversary. We are celebrating on saturday night...going to a fancy (and DELISH!!!) dinner and then out country dancing but last night when DH got home we exchanged cards. I got a little something extra in mine! I am so excited!!! DH caved under the pressure and went ahead and gave me my B'day present in the anniversary card! I will be going to THE GYM tomorrow to try out those new running shoes I just bought!!! WOO HOO!:7 :7 :7

Can you tell I'm excited?:p

OKay, here is what I did Saturday and I used to do it three days a week before I had my third kid:

20 pushups (on your toes if you can) ten exonc break
15 pushups, again on your toes - twelve second break
15 more pushups }( ten second break
10 tricep pushups (on your toes, but I usually can only do half of them) twenty second break and stretch
5 x 4 up-dog/down-dog pushups with a ten second break/stretch in between (these you can't do on your knees, just isn't possible, so maybe do them after your first set of regular pushups)

I am telling you, it is awesome! You will have the sexiest arms/back/chest! Oh, and you might be sore for a few days. }( But it doesn't take long and it really works, I mean REALLY! It hits every muscle in your ub (with less emphasis on bi's, but the up/down dogs really get your back).

I really love cardio, but I love pushups too because they still keep your heart rate up. I just put on some music with a strong beat or watch something on t.v. while I am doing it to get my mind off of either the mental pain of the pushups or the physical, I haven't decided yet! :p

Missy

"5 x 4 up-dog/down-dog pushups with a ten second break/stretch in between (these you can't do on your knees, just isn't possible, so maybe do them after your first set of regular pushups)"

What are these???

Good morning Ladies!!!

I slept in.....That pain med really made me groggy. My alarm went off at 5:45 and I barely remember turing it off and crawling back in bed!!!

Missy, that casserole was awesome!! We loved it! There is a bunch left over so I will eat some for lunch today. Thanks for the recipe!

Lori, I think you need a heavy duty treadmill! As much as you run, you will get your money's worth in about a week :). Plus, if you can get one at wholesale price, then that makes it even more worth it!

Marcia, where about in Minn are you from? My in-laws love Minn so they bought a camper/trailer on a resort. Not sure where, but maybe on Lake Alexandria...or something like that. They have been going to Minn for years. They go up in May, come home in June, go back up in July, and stay until about Sept. I think they like to escape the hot, humid summers that we get around here.

Well, I am thinking about cancelling my preorder. I don't have a bunch of Cathe's workouts (I use a bunch from fitv) so I thought I would cancel and order some that I don't have. Then, when we have a more definite answer about Cathe's injury, I will order the new ones. I really want the butts and gutts workout! What an awesome idea for a workout, huh? Poor Cathe, I bet she is frustrated. I hope she gets better. I was thinking of ordering the crosstraining xpress pack. I have All Step that came with a step my mil bought me for xmas a couple of years ago. I really like it because it is short, sweet, and to the point. I love the shld work on it! Do any of you have these workouts? What do you think? I am really looking for good workouts that are about an hour long.

Talk Later!

Sara

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, WENDY!!!!! :) Yours is one week before mine! :D I am so excited about the gym and shoes! You will have to report back as soon as you get back and let us know what you think! :) :) :) I know that you will love it, though.

Charlotte, sounds like your optomistrist is just REALLY thurough! :p Mine is funny. Whenever I come in with Logan he tries so hard to keep him entertained. The last time we came in I had to boss the doctor and tell him to leave Logan alone so we could hurry up and get out of here - I gave him chocolate in the waiting room to keep him pacified and he is going to blow any minute so let's do this thing! He laughed at me, and while he was checking my eyes I was saying "drop it, Logan, don't play with that" "Logan, put that back" "Logan, go look at the magazine by the chair" all without moving my eyes during the exam. The doc said, "well, I am happy to know that your peripheral vision is excellent! hahahaha!" He was cracking up. I told him that what they say is the truth and he wasn't checking the only set of eyes that I have. :p Mom's have many sets of eyes, and yes, that includes the ones in the back of their heads! ;)

Marcia, what did I do, let's see, I make all of my meals from scratch which is time consuming but I have gotten used to it. I eat a lot of fruit, alot of vegetables, lentils, beans and eat only whole wheat pasta and whole grain brown rice (plenty of fiber and extra protein), no white anything anywhere. I cook with olive oil and don't use much or it. I eat fish twice a week and I also eat tofu and a whole bunch of other nasty stuff (but I think it is delicious :9 ). Um, oh, and most importantly I never let myself go hungry. When I am hungry I eat, but I just make sure that it is really good stuff like nuts or edamame. I have lost over 40 pounds since I had Logan. The weight came off very slowly, but hopefully that means that it is more likely to stay off! ;) Most wonderfully, I feel terrific, even when I was still overweight, because the things that I was eating were good for me and made me feel "clean". But I love chocolate. I think that is the most important ingredient in any weightloss program. ;) :p

Missy

You are the busiest bunch of girls I think I've ever "met"! I thought I'd get on here really quick before my workout and OH MY GOODNESS - so many posts.

No time to read them all right now, sorry. :( I've gotta go do Spinervals. Yesterday I did Power Hour for the first time (don't know what took me so long!). I LOVED it! What a fun workout! I can't believe I waited this long. I think my tris are gonna be sore. My chest is already sore. Yay!

I have to go get a small filling this morning then off to work. I'll check in with you gals later and if the thread count hasn't doubled, I might even be able to get caught up!

Have a great day!

Susan

Happy Anniversary, Wendy!! What number is this one? Our anniversary is coming up in April and it will be #6. It just seems like yesterday that dh and I met.....I was 19 and he was 18 when we started dating. Yes, he is one year younger than me....He is going to give me such hard time when I turn 30 and he will still be in his 20's.

What a sweet dh you have, too!! Don't ya just love when they surprise you with an unexpected gift? Those sweet moments sure can make up for times when they don't take the trash out.....:)

Let us know how the shoes work. You might want to break them in a little bit before you run in them. I bought a pair of running shoes a couple of years ago and made a huge mistake. The 1st time I wore them, I ran 3 miles. Then I had blisters on my feet for a week.

Susan, we are pretty chatty, huh? :p My fingers are definitely getting some exercise! ;)

Sara, DH is almost 4 years older than me. He will be turning 30 in a few months and he has gray hair, and those smile lines around his eyes (which I LOVE and think makes him even MORE handsome!) and I rub it in every chance I get. :p I tease him about me being with an older man, a real man with experience, my sugar daddy! :p tehehehehe! It does light a few sparks. (and I almost always end up getting what I want ;) ) And he teases about raising me. :p Just remember that the next time DH teases you about being older. ;)

Missy

Hi Girls,

Another chatty day?:) I have been up for an hour, went and got a coffee and never got to enjoy it the way I normally do.When I woke up, I could hear a t.v going so I knew DD was home from school. She called DH b/c her headache was back.So I had to make her lunch, the phone was ringing, the dogs needed to go out...it was just a constint up and down.So I didn't get to sit here like I normally would and sip at my coffee..so now I am a little ticked to be honest with you.And when DH calls lately he just keeps going on and on, on the phone.Last night I couldn't get him off and its not exciting stuff that he is talking about so I just want him to shut up already}( ;-)

I think I need a heavy duty treadmill to, something that will last me a while.

Wendy, my treadmill gave out the other day but then is worked again yesterday.Weird.If I can get another 6 weeks out of it, I would be happy b/c by then I should be able to run outside.
Happy Anniversary by the way! It sounds like everyone around here are married to some 1/2 decent men! I think we did good girls!:)

Susan...no time to chat?

Marcia, I can't beleive you kid likes to clean! How awesome is that? I wish DD cleaned up her own mess sometimes!

Missy, I have never had a problem with my dvds not working. The girl isn't really my friend just someone I know.DH was talking to her one day and told her that she could borrow one of my workout videos and thats what I did.Wasn't that nice of him...to loan out MY stuff? LOL She wants to know what ones to buy and i could always tell her she can try another one out but I don't know if I want to part with another workout for 4 M.It wasn't to bad cause I don't do C&W very much but I do still have it on the terminator dvd.Enjoy your workout!

Charlotte, I hope you r eyes aren't failing you yet!!! I don't have any glasses as of yet:eek: I know everyones mother told us to eat our carrots b/c it was good for our eyes, plus don't sit to close to the t.v...do you really think Carrots are good for your eyes? I thought green veggies were good for your eyes?

Im not sure when I will do my workout today. This house needs to be tided up again! I can't keep up with it! And its anice day so maybe I will take the dogs out for an hour.I also have tonight to workout but I think I would rather do it this afternoon.

Chat with ya later,
Lori:)

Hey girls - it won't stop snowing here - UGH!!!!!! I live in southeastern Minnesota and we are getting dumped on AGAIN.

Missy - thank you so much for your "diet/way of life", I'm doing something similar to what you mentioned, but I do like meat so I'm not sure I can give that up. I heard about a few celebraties that are Vegan and they raved about it so I figured I'd search here for some old posts, I know it's been discussed before.

All those pushups - - - - oooooooohhhh - - - I think I will give those a try, if they are going to give me results I'm all for it.

I finished SB and was just a sweatin'. I might get in Cardio Coach #3 this afternoon if I can shoo my DS and the neighbor kids outside after lunch.

I'm cleaning out some drawers in the bedroom and trying to organize them.

I hope everyone has a great day.
~Marcia~

Here is a thread that helped me quit eating meat: http://69.0.137.118/dc/dcboard.php?..._id=240051&mesg_id=240051&listing_type=search but I still eat fish because, well, because Jesus ate fish so it can't be wrong :p What got me to kick it, really, was finding out about how animals are treated. It really makes me sick. DH and the kids still eat meat, but it is very expensive because I buy the hormone/steroid/antibiotic free free range meat from local farmers. Very expensive. I really can't say enough good things about how I feel not eating meat anymore. Oh, boy, here I go! :+ I am getting ready to read Fast Food Nation, so I am kinda pumped. And then I have New Food Revolution and The China Study on my agenda. sorry, I don't want to offend anyone here, I think I am the only vegetarian (except fish and the occasional cheese), but I really do love the lifestyle, and I honestly never thought I could live it!
ETA that I lost almost all of my weight while I was still a meat eater :)

How long does it usually snow in Minn? It is about 50 here today, but very windy. We have had a very strange winter. I don't even know if we can call it winter, it is more like our springs. Very strange. Have fun organizing! I always feel so much better when everything has a place and is where it belongs.

Lori, great to finally see you! You think your DH is talkative? At work, they call my DH "windy" because he talks the customer's ears off, almost literally! :p When he calls me on his way home from work, we, or he, will talk almost the whole time decompressing. It is nice to have a DH who will talk, though. There are so many men who grunt and remain silent. But I am sorely tempted at times to reach for a muzzle! :+

Missy

I am breathless at the moment so I thought I would respond...

Lori,

No, I don't think I will need glasses. I went into town for my appt. and since the optometrist sent me my appt, I thought I didn't need to call in to "confirm" it. Well since I didn't "confirm" it, I could not be seen today so I will go tomorrow. Oh, well. Just finished my bicep curls and shoulders. I am beat already and not even half way thru my workouts. What a lazy bum I am today. LOL! Yeah, eat your carrots, but only at your own risk for those eyeballs. I mean they are good for you, but not the right carb...kinda like corn. Well, you know that already, don't you? LOL!

Marcia,

It is suppose to snow here tonight. Maybe a inch, if that. I am sure the snowplow trucks will be by anyhow and throw more gravel in my yard. I just cleaned it all up! UGH! Tomorrow is St. Patty's Day and DD has got a tiny hat to wear on her head with green hair (wig) and large clover earrings and stamps so she can stamp everyone at school. She is so goofy. My son would frown on this. He is the more serious type and if anybody "stamped" him he would probably beat them up! LOL!
Well it sounds like you are really liking that Cardio Coach. And those pushups Missy told you about....>OMG! I could try it too, but I really do have a hard time with pushups. I have tried everyway to do them and it doesn't make it easier for me. Same when I bench....pathetic, I tell you! Just pathetic! LOL!

Charlotte~~
