Hey guys... I'm fine. My wrists and elbows are still flaring this morning, right worse than left, but I am going to take another dose of prednisone this morning and for the next ten days. I should have no problem with IMAX3 today so I am on for that. I will have today's dose and tomorrow morning's dose of prednisone in me when I attempt the weight w/o tomorrow but we'll see. I'll have to figure out how I am going to catch this up when I do get going. I hope I am able to handle at least a 5# weight tomorrow. If I can, then I'll just do the w/o with 5# DB's, better than nothing. We'll see.

Thanks for all of your support. I'll be fine, I'm just a little distressed because I am on a new med that should be up to full effectiveness by now and I shouldn't be having flares this bad.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day. I haven't caught up with yesterday's thread yet, I'll try to do that sometimes today.

Good morning Everybody!!

Yesterday was GS bbs......good upperbody! I also rode my stationary bike 40 minutes and last night my dd came over and we took a walk in the neighborhood. :)

I forgot to tell this, but Sunday when I walked on the fitness trail, they have stations every so often and you can stop and do whatever exercise is posted there (pushups, jumping jacks etc) , well we just walked and ignored those, but then came to the chinup bar and I asked dh if he thought I could do one, and his response was "I'm sure you can" HA! I wasn't so sure, and guess what ? I gave it a try and I did THREE!!!! I impressed myself! :p
Goofing around with my daughter and her friends over the summer I did 8 but that was in a tree, not as high up, etc.. So this was cool!

Anyway, today is Imax 3 , which is not my favorite but we all know it WILL get the heart pumping!!!!!

Hey Jane,I'm also glad to see you here with us this morning. I hope that medicine starts working for you soon so you can get back to normal. Imax 3 is the bomb!:p

Well today since I can't do Imax3 I will do the stationary bike,and LG floorwork, with maybe abs in. It depends on how much time I have. and finally I can come home from work and not have anywhere to go!:p

Forgot to tell I did GSBSB yesterday and I don't feel alot of soreness this morning but it might come later on today. I really felt the burn with that blasted band! It is killer to me!

So I did not do my 2nd round of biceps yesterday but I can forgive myself for that. I thought my upper body would be very soar yesterday but my legs and butt hurt me faaar more from that evil stinkin' Leaner Legs I did! }( I lifted heavy on the upper body work out too but still, not really any DOMS to speak of!? I wonder why that happens?

So I do not have Imax 3 but I can do Imax 2. The question is, will I have time. I don't have the time this a/m. If I wanted to get up at 5 a/m I would have but I was exhausted by the time I got home from the wake last night and didn't go to bed until like 11:30pm so to get up that early to do such an intense w/o probably would NOT have been smart! I am HOPING to get it done AFTER the funeral today. It starts at 10 a/m but they are having the customary lunch aftewards and I'm sure that will take a while...Actually, to be HONEST, I'm quite sure I will have the TIME to do the w/o...I guess I just hope I'm up to it. Funerals are very draining. ACK. :-(

So the wake went well I guess...it's a wake...is it SUPPOSED to go WELL??? The family decided to have it one day from 2-9 straight through instead of 2 sessions of 2 hours a piece. I thought they were nuts but this is what they chose to do. DH and I left the house about 4:45 and didn't get home until after 10 pm.

I felt awful for DH...The death of this aunt is hitting him HARD! He and his mom/dad/sisters lived in a 3 family house with this woman and her family and the parents (DH's grandparents) his entire life until he was 15!!! This woman was a 2nd mom to him. He was sooo upset last night!;(

Well, I've babbled on waaay to long now.

I'll be around for another 15 minutes or so and then I gotta get movin'. We have to be back up north by 9:30 this morning. I'll check in when I get home, work out done or not.

ETA: BTW, does anyone know where to get the band for the Gymstyles series??? I am putting GS upper body on my Christmas list and want the band too but don't know where to get it! Thanks!:)
 
Good Morning Everyone,

Yesterday was KM and L&G...my whole body is sore today.When I woke up and I was just lying in bed, I could feel it.Its not crazy sore but I didn't think my UB was gonna be sore.Oh well...nice to know it worked.I really like L&G and I think I am going to try and do it more often, like once a week or something, instead of once every 2 monthes:eek: I just have so many other leg workouts to choose from.
Today was suppose to be HST and a Run but I think I am going to do Wed workout instead, which is GS & S&H Chest and Tri,and SJP.Im not sure which I order I will do these.I have lots of time on my hands today b/c all the family are gone and DD is staying in school for lunch.
Last night I didn't pick at food before I went to bed and thats all I needed to get me started.I just have to do it once and I am in pretty good shape:)

Jane- I hope your meds kick in soon.

Becky- I don't think I have ever tried chin ups. There is no where for me to try it.I wonder how many I could do....IF ANY!:)

Kim- I gotta ask.What is PT? Don't laugh at me either.I know you can't workout has hard as you would like to so I know something is up somewhere.I just assumed you had a bad back or something.Hope Im not being to nosey.:)

Well...coffee is gone and I am going to lick the cup out:p Its one of those mornings where I feel like I need 20 to wake up but I don't want to get a bad belly and I am sure I will come to life sometime soon! I Hope:) I woke up 3 x between 6:30 and 7:30 so I think that sort of gave me a headache, I should have just gotten up the first time but I did have a good nights sleep.

Hey wendy,

Yes I usually use resistance,but last night I didn't because of my hip hurting. The heel raise they put in my shoe makes me uneven, so I could only do ten mins. Hopefully today I can use resistance.


I think I got my band on FWonline. You can get them precut.

HI Wendy-I m not sure where you can get the band b/c I got mine when I ordered the series.I guess you could get it at any fitness store or maybe even wal-mart.
Funny story, my sister called one time and wanted to know where to get the band b/c she didn't receive one.I said, you should have, it comes with the set (we are both Cathites).Then something clicked, she said, is it green? I said yeah. So she went to look in the box that her set came in and she said, Oh, I thought that green thing was something to clean my dvds with. She almost threw it out!:)
Im sure DH will get through this.Espeacially with the support from his loving wife:) :) I think these things get a little easier after the funeral is over and who have said your good-byes.Time is a wonderful thing.
You should have time for Imax and if anything you will probably want to do it to releive some stress from the day.I know when I have stuff to think about my workout flies!

Wendy, it is the 6 foot length. They don't have these at WalMart, 4 foot is the longest I have found at WalMart. No handles on mine, just the green band she uses on the DVD. It is called a DynaBand.

This fwonline.com place sells them in packages of 3 (light/medium/heavy resistance) so I might go that way. I'm not sure what resistance I'd need. I don't neccessarily follow Cathe's weight choices...in fact, in most cases, I go lighter so to ONLY get what she has could be a bad choice for me. What do you think??
 
LOL Lori about your friend! That's pretty funny. Good thing she didn't toss it before she asked you about it!!!!

Yeah, DH will be okay I know...I just hate seeing him upset like that and there is nothing I can TRULY do...he just has to work it out for himself...all I can do is be there to lean on...which I am.

Wendy, I had the three-pack from Walmart that I used before I got my 6 foot band. These were only 4 foot long and a pain in the butt because they were too short. I always used the medium resistance. When I got the DynaBand, it seemed "easier" to use than the med resistance on the 4 foot band. Didn't seem to have as much resistance as the 4 foot band.

If you can get three 6 foot bands in those resistance levels and the price is good, that would be the way to go.
 
O.k...I am going in...I may check the site in between workouts cause I am going to be cooped up in the workout room for a while.
I was still feeling a bit sluggish so I just opened a can of Red Bull sugar free.I only drink this stuff when I HAVE to and there is no way I could make it through this workout without a little push!

OKAY Imax 3 is HISTORY!!!!!!!!!! and I couldn't be happier!!!!}( :7

I had one of those days *maybe like Lori I need 20 cups of coffee!* where the choreography was giving me fits! ack! Don't know why......just once I got past #5, they just seemed to be going too fast and it was like I'd never done it before, just ended up making up my own stuff a couple of times.
And I stand by my opinion that there is just a bit too much jumping in that workout to be a favorite of mine!!!!
But I'm THRILLED that it's done and I can forget about it for a while!!!
and of course, as always when I have completed that one, I feel thoroughly worked out!!!:p

Now to treat myself with an apple smoothie and a nice hot shower!!!:)

Did Imax1 this morning. WOW. That was the first time. I liked it. At times it seemed to be flying by, and others, it was like come on already. When does this end????? Looking forward to Chest/Triceps and Coremax tomorrow. My little guy and I are going to the pumpkin patch tomorrow morning, so I don't know if I'll have enough time for cardio too.

Charlotte-If you ever see another one of those mats, I want one to! I hate it when people stop over when I am doing things to.When they call, I just don't answer.And you know what? It all depends on who it is b/c some friends will leave right away and just say, call me later.But I have a couple of friends that will just come right in and wait for you to stop working out so you can sit down and chat.Not this kid! There is no way I am going to stop 1/2 way through a workout to hear about someones weekend.I even have a friend that when I am going through the door to do something, she is pulling in the driveway with her coffee and she gets niffed b/c I am not staying home.Some may find it rude that I don't take my shoes back off, but I have things to do and very little time to do it.I have a busy life and the friends I have that aren't so busy, think my life runs the same as theirs....Boy, I could go on and on about this.Anything to not get me back in that room I guess.}( :7

Becky- Im glad someone feels the way I do:) Im comming around though.

Alright my shake is gone and its time to do SJP.I got a feeling that I am going to have trouble washing my hair when I get in the shower:eek: My arms may not reach up there!
