Moment of Truth/Fall check-in/Thurs/Sept 13

Good Morning my Friends in Fitness!

Finally got a chance to read all the posts! Sounds like everyone's do something good for themselves in here today! :)

I did L&G's when I got up and I will do Coremax and some shoulder work a little later. I have to get my sons' room cleaned. I'm revamping the toy box (yet again). I'd like to get out for a walk too.

~Jane & Becky- have fun with L&G's! Did you do it yet? I have a love/hate relationship w/ this workout. ;-) Glad you slept well Jane. That's always nice.

Becky and Kim- I have seen dramatic results in my body after cutting out sugar. It's hard I know, but if you can do it, I believe you will be amazed at what you will start seeing. :)

HI Charlotte!! How's it going there? Definatley by Thursday. My 6yr old LOVES to decorate. So he'll be helping me. He has an eye for detail that you would not believe. He does his own thing with his "own" stuff and we and my neighbors are amazed w/ his handiwork.
His BD is Monday and all he's been doing is looking at catalogs w/ Halloween stuff getting ideas in his head! DH and I are taking him to pick out his own stuff for his BD instead of getting him a toy or something.

Hi Wendy! Way to go on the loss!:7 You are getting there Girlfriend! Keep up the good work. Did you workout yet today?

Hi Kim! Don't sweat the small stuff! You're doing great. Just don't make it a habit! Good luck at the Dr's. :)

Terri~ have fun w/ your Fiesta. Jane, Becky and I have walking lunges tomorrow. x( is all I have to say to that! LOL!

Kali-I love your haalloween thingies in your post.
Charlotte-No I don't decorate for halloween but look out christmas!!!!!

OK I just did my 500 crunches and after abhits yesterday it was not easy! I then cleaned the bathroom and now I am off to run. Then I will finish the rest of the fitness fiesta and then hopefully get some bookwork done!

Jane- What kind of protein do you incoporate with everyday living? For me it would be cottage cheese,eggs and chicken breast. Everything else like fish and red meat would be a rare thing.The first 3 I listed are just so easy to prepare a head of time.
Do you have any ideas of things to make? I guess t.v dinners are pretty easy to.The light ones with chicken and rice or stir frys.

Lori ~~ I had egg beaters on WW toast with my oatmeal/banana/pecans this morning.

For a.m. snack, I had a blueberry protein shake with a scoop of vanilla portein powder, cup of frozen blueberries, and 1 cup skim milk.

I'll have a turkey sandwich probably for lunch, haven't decided on that yet.

for p.m. snack, I am planning on a half of a protein bar.

For supper tonight, I have california crab wraps on the menu with Pam-fried squash, and a large salad with low-cal dressing.

I never eat TV dinners, I love to cook too much.

I'll give you some more of my menus if you want later. Cottage cheese and a fruit, pineapple, peaches, you name it.. is a great choice.

I had a banana b/f working out, then a protein shake after.
For lunch I just had my leftover salmon in a whole wheat, high fiber wrap, and added baby spinach to it... and an apple, and water.
Maybe I will have a fruit smoothie for a snack later, especially if I go out into the heat and cut the grass!!:p
Dinner, I have no clue because I have ham, potatoes and green beans in the crockpot, but I don't think I'll eat any of that.
I confess to buying Ben & Jerry's Mint Chocolate Cookie ice cream this morning at the grocery!:eek: And it's my favorite! Now, WHY did I do that???

A question on the lunges for tomorrow..... I've never done walking lunges and I know HOW they're done, but WHERE do you guys do them?
I don't have the nerve to do them in my yard (like some brave people here:D ) because I have too many neighbors and no privacy!!!! Maybe just up and down the hall in my house?? Move the car out of the garage and do them there?? Just wondering what everyone else does.

LOL Becky! I have a plan!! I don't want to do 200 walking lunges in my house and wear out the carpet, so I am going to split my w/o up tomorrow and get up about 15 minutes earlier. After I feed the horse, I am going out in my backyard in the dark and walk back and forth. Nobody to see me and wonder if they should call the mental hospital!! I'll probably confuse poor Jasper again in the morning like I did last Friday when I got up at 5 and ran in the dark. \

I am getting DOMS in my hams and glutes after KickMax yesterday. I hope I can make it through this leg-killing workout this week!!!

I have these rats that look so real and I can't wait to put them out. I have to put some tape down under their feet so the wind doesn't blow them away. I love to decorate for Halloween. I got some black cheese cloth with holes in it too. Skeleton for the front that will look like it is coming out of a grave. I will take pictures for ya. Will you do the same?

Joey is actually just recently starting to laugh or giggle out loud. It IS very cute but then again, it's one of his many many "firsts" and I'm sure I will even think his firt poop in the potty is cute! :+

I went in to exercise this morning and Joey was snoozing...towards the end he woke up and was crying so he's not the perfect baby by any means but YES, I do feel EXTREMELY lucky considering how often I DO get through an ENTIRE work out w/o a single interruption! :) He's napping right now as a matter of fact! :+

Sounds like you have a KILLER w/o planned for today! OUCH! After that you may need to hire your own employees to clean your house because the DOMS isn't going to allow you to do it yourself! LOL :p One day I'll have to try a "fiesta" but I keep saying I'll do BC 2x and haven't done it yet. I keep forgetting about it but I'm wondering if subconsciously I am "forgetting" on purpose! ;) :p

Donuts!!! Sorry for letting that slip so early in the morning! We have them in the house right now...one of DH's favorite snacks...GRRRR! But I haven't touched one in a month!!!! :7 :7 :7

Keep in mind that sometimes our bodies change and a weight that it was okay with say, just a year ago even (or less!) could be a weight that it just doesn't like anymore...I know that feeling well and really freakin' hate it! x( So if you don't get down to the weight you want remember that this might be the reason...NOT because you are failing at making it happen!

Joey has got to be giving you so much joy. I remember those days. Enjoy them so.

Well I have to double up on the fiesta workout so I am doing my 100 pushups on my knees...well, at least I am doing them? Right? I have 800 crunches to do and I did 400 last night. I forget what else. Can you believe I had to make a list???? LOL! O.k., well let me get going again before my children get home. Have fun with Joey. Give him a kiss for me.

Hi guys! No internet connection at home this morning, and I really don't have time to check in here at work but I'm doing it anyway.

I did the first part of PUB yesterday. Since my hamstrings were still hurting a bit from the first part of PLB, it made sense to do PUB instead of the leg floor work yesterday.

Today I'm going to have to take off because I'll get home very late and will have to go vote in the primary. By the time I get home it will probably be past 9 pm. :-( My life is SOOO busy lately!

Hi gals.

I did a mish mosh today of extra leg work and cardio. Not including the warm up cool down and stretch it was an hour long and it burned up 668 cals! :)

L&G warm up
various L&G exercises (15 minutes)
Low Max intervals 1,2 & 3
Low Max step only 4, 5, 6 & 7
Low Max cool down and stretch

I nixxed Pinky's circuit style w/o because today is not a circuit day for me...another time! :)

My legs were still on FIRE though! }( }( }(
 
Hey girls,

Sounds like everyone is doing good today! I hear of alot of fiesta! there are alot of grueling workouts here! I was originally going to do legs today,but I may just do some abs.

Went to the foot doctor today and just what I expected, I have this boot on for 2 more weeks. I'm surprised that I'm not surprised! Does that make sense? anyway he said I have to go back in two weeks and maybe have some inserts put into my shoes. Also still have to go to that dreaded PT. but you gotta do what you gotta do!

Sheesh I am dragging today from little sleep and all my working out! I am hoping to get more of the Kite Runner read later and finish it tomorrow.

Just finished Legs & Glutes. The music on the workout is really great!! I also did CM#3. I have DOMS in my upper body and glutes and hams from KickMax yesterday so it'll be interesting to see what L&G adds to this.

Kali/Becky... we have those 200 walking lunges tomorrow!!:eek: :eek: I'll be doing them at 5 in the morning in my backyard in the dark so nobody will see me!:+ I seriously doubt I'll be able to do the entire 200 without taking a break. I was able to get up to 115 total walking lunges a while back when I was doing them consistently but they started to hurt my knees and I really haven't started back doing them.

I'll do my run and ab work tomorrow afternoon.

Nancy - I hate it when my schedule interferes with my workout too.

Wendy - that was quite a mish mosh you did. From the looks of it, I'm sure you got a very good w/o!

Kim - I'm sorry you have to be in that boot another two weeks. Hopefully you'll be seeing light at the end of the tunnel with this soon. Keep listening to the doctor and physical therapist.

Ya know.... when I read this rotation we are doing, I don't really "get it" until I start doing these workouts and then, as Cathe says, you say "hello!!" I am really going to be feeling this tomorrow and the next day and the next day....:p


ETA - I am at 27% deficit today so doing well on the diet part.
 
Terri - we must have been posting at the same time. Don't over do it okay.

I am reading the Kite Runner also but I just started it. So far it is a very good read.
 
Jane- 3 cheers for finishing L&G ! YES, I am expecting DOMS too and now tomorrow is 200 lunges and a RUN for cripes sake?!?!?! :eek:
I found myself chuckling at the thought of you lunging in the dark , trying to avoid anyone seeing you and then was reminded that I still don't know where or when I'm going to do mine!!
Kali where & when are you going to do yours?
I've never even DONE walking lunges before.....and can't say I'm exactly looking forward to it either!:p
Lots of new additions to my workouts this month. But that's good, it keeps it fresh!

Tonight there are finally some new shows on that I watch. The Biggest Loser and House. HOORAY!

Jane-Good job on getting your workout done. When you do lunges tomorrow will you carry a flashlight? Thanks for the kind words and I am making sure I don't overdo. No time for down time so I won't risk an injury :) By the way on walking lunges do you gus stay low all the time or stand straight up in between lunges. Did that make sense?

Becky, the ideas you posted earlier are good. Move your cars and do them in the garage. You could always get up when I do in the morning at 4:45 and do them in your backyard!:+
