Good morning fitness buddies....

Yesterday I had a good time eating all that food on my big calorie day. KickMax was a blast also, so I had a good day yesterday and slept great last night.

I believe I'll try to stay towards the 30% mark today.

Kali - I'm looking forward (I think:p ) to doing L&G for the first time in its entirety.

Hope everyone is having a good start to their day.
 
Good Morning Everyone, Hi Jane,

I just wanted to say I'm right there with you today getting ready to do L&G for the first time today! Am also anxious (I think) to do it.:*

I also slept great last night, and it's so much appreciated since I've been dealing with on and off insomnia for quite a while.

Yesterday my eating was good.
B protein smoothie
L green salad with salmon and an apple
snack fruit smoothie (pineapple, banana, coconut yogurt& a little vanilla soymilk)
d peanutbutter noodles w/shrimp and (oops) a little lime sherbet

Still a lot of sugar in my diet , I see, when I write it down, but at least low in fat.

Yes, we'll be tackling L&G today and CM#3. I'm excited about doing a new workout (I think, too;) )
 
Good morning ladies,

Yesterday was SH back and I will be doing L&G floorwork (twice), along with some abs. Although abs still hurt from coremax! As far as my eating I slipped and had some chips last night (bad girl!) I guess it will not happen over night. Very anxious about the doctor today, so that might have something to do with it!


Jane- It is good to hear you had a good night sleep! Hopefully you will have many more! Enjoy LG legs today! I think!

Becky-It's great you also had a good night sleep! Heck, I pee'd all night. Sorry for the way the sounded! And it looks like everyone will be doing the LG today!

Oh! and Becky I wish I could get my day of eating close to yours. I'm eating high fat and sugar. I don't think I can conquer both at the same time.

Good Morning!

Boy,did I have a BAD day yesterday! I can't even tell my "weight loss" buddy about it.Im gonna be extremely good today and hopefully I can undo some of the damage that would eventually like to sit on my hips.
I went to bed last night at around 10 and I wasn't to long going to sleep.Prehaps it was a sugar coma I went in to and not sleep.I set the alarm for 5:30 in hopes of working out but I was just to sleepy and I crawled back into the bed.DH was happy.
I would like to do cardio tonight and GS B,B,&S.
I also printed off the calorie staggering and I am going to have today as my lowest day,just b/c yesterday was so bad!
Anyway,thats it for me.

Jane and Becky~~~I was quite hesitant about doing L&G for the first time...it turned out not to be as bad as I had envisioned. You will both do great! Have fun! :)

Kim~~~I have trouble with sugar too. I just can NOT keep it out of my diet totally so I do not even try. I have given up MOST sugary things but I still take it in my coffee/tea and that won't change. I tasted Splenda for the first time the other night and it seemed okay but for as much coffee as I drink, it would cost me a freakin' fortune to sweeten it if I used Splenda, LOL, so I don't think I'll be buying it. My grocery bills can be bad enough! x(

ETA: Lori! We were posting at the same time! I know about bad days, hon! It happens, just right back to it and work even hard today!:) I missed 2 work outs and ate out a couple of times in the last week and a half so I have screwed up myself lately!x(

Good morning Kali, Jess, Cleo, Nancy, and everyone else. I KNOW I am forgetting people here but my brain is not yet 100% open for business! Only on java # 1 and it's not even 7am yet! :p

Today is my cardio party day with extra leg work. Low Max is an order I guess and I will follow Pinky's lead and throw squats, lunges and all that in between intervals. }( Abs are up for grabs today...this is usually the day that I don't do them but I will if I have the time today. :)

OH and btw, today was weigh in day...I lost another pound :7 but my body fat is .2% higher than it was last week x( . I'm sure it's from the 2 missed work outs as well as the eating out. I tried to be as good as I could but it can be hard depending on what kind of food is available. :-(

Today I am doing the Fiesta from Cathe's August Rotation. That does mean I will have to do 100 pushups in there!!!! OMG!
I didn't sleep well last night. Had the windows open and just never cooled down enough and then I couldn't shut my brain off. LOL!
I got to get my house in order today.
Anybody here decorate for Halloween? If so, when do you usually start?

Good Morning. I know how it is with the "can't shut off the brain" thing! I go through that trying to fall asleep as well! Lots of times that will happen to me in the middle of the night. I will wake up for whatever reason at like 3-4am and not fall back to sleep because my "wheels start spinnin'" and unfortunately I am usually WORRYING about something so that's even worse! x(

I am bad at decorating. I barely decorate for any holiday. I do the most for Christmas out of all of them. I honestly don't do a thing for Halloween...just lazy I guess. LOL And too cheap to buy the decorations!!! :p
 
Wendy - How do you check your body fat? You have one of those capiliars? If thats what they are called:) It feels good to know that you are not alone on your bad days.I just need to get started again, thats all.Treat days are soooooooooo hard for me.I can't just hop back on when I have had a treat. I would rather stay faithful 100% and when I get a craving, then I can have a little piece of chocolate or two or three chips.I can't have a all out cheat day or even meal.So now my goal is no more treats until I hit 125 lbs.Hopefully that will be in 2 weeks when my SIL is home and having her baby christianing.We will all be getting together then and having lunch.

Oh another question: For those of you who stagger your cals whats your lowest day and whats your highest. According to that website yesterday, my lowest day is 1028 and my highest is 1542.

Lori, I have the omron body fat analyzer. My son is being Christening this weekend AND I have a wedding to go to on friday so I will be having a HORRIBLE weekend when it comes to food (and exercise as I'll be pressed for ANY time to do it!)! I need to do DOUBLE work outs through Thursday to prepare I think! }(
 
The way I stagger is to eat enough to maintain the one day which is my highest intake of about 2000 cals and then 3 days in a row shooting for 30% deficit which is around 1500. I don't worry about the 3 days at a deficit being all different....

Just popped in to say congrats on losing another pound. I don't know about the body fat scales. Mine dropped 3% in just one day (weighing same time, same circumstances). However, I had a century bike ride on Saturday. I always carry extra water weight for a few days afterwards and the scales were up (body fat % and weight). Would the extra water weight make the body fat % higher too? My scales don't have an athlete mode on them so don't know if that makes any difference. I went from 28% bf yesterday to 25% today, and a 2 lb. decrease.

Anyway, glad your ticker was running today and was glad to see you were down another pound. Sarah helped me too (after I read your advice to someone else) and I'm doing the calorie staggering thing. Works great. I'm hoping for one pound down this week.

Hi Jeanette.

Yes, BF % is quite tempermental and can change for the littlest thing which is why I do not take it often...Plus the fact that the tools used by most "regular people" (ie-you and me) are not extremely accurate although they DO let you know if you are headed in the right direction (DOWN!)which is why I purchased one!:)

I love the calorie stagger idea...I get to eat lots every 4th day and although it still needs to be HEALTHY x( :p , it keeps me satisfied so I am less likely to want to go nuts and eat 5 donuts or a bag of chips on a binge! :)
 
Lori... Wendy and I stagger the same. Actually, our calorie intake looks about the same too. Three days at deficit, one big day, three days at deficit. I stay between 20 and 30% on deficit days not paying attention really to where I am in that range, however, like today after a big calorie day, I'll probably try to stay closer to 20% just because I feel I need to after eating a lot yesterday.
 
Happy Tuesday everyone! (Jane, did you notice you wrote Thurs in the post title?) Lol, I woke up thinking it was Wednesday so we're on a similar page :) Must've had something to do w/ the good sleep we both got.

Charlotte - You're really kicking butt with the workouts lately! 100 push-ups! :eek: You do those in sets right? Still, yeouch! Makes my shoulders hurt just thinking about it.

Wendy - You're doing awesome as well, how lucky you are to have a baby who sleeps long enough to let you workout. BTW, he is ADORABLE! - I meant to post in the "Joey is adorable" post. I bet he has a great giggle :7

I didn't post yesterday as it was a busy day w/ work and school. I managed to get in a 50 min KPC premix last night. Today is S&H Back and chest plus some sort of short cardio. I really need to buy a 25lb. dumbbell - I never thought I'd have to say that :eek: I'll be able to bench press DH soon, lol, J/k :p

Good Morning Ladies!

Today will be a 5mile run and a fiesta sort of day. It looks like this..500 walking lunges, walk 5 miles, 50 jumping jacks, 50 pushups, 500 crunches and 50 dips. I am changing the walk to a run. Those lunges I am NOT looking forward to but I will add them on after the run.

Lori-Well just pick yourself up and dust of the crumbs and you will be fine.

Jane-Sounds like you and the others have the calorie staggering down!
Shannon-Hello to you :) I also need to get some 25 pound dumbells. It is starting to hurt my hands holing two weights to equal that weight.

Terri- I can't dust off the crumbs...b/c I ate them:) I am, I have been good so far today...but it is only 11 in the morning:eek: I should be o.k.I just need one day to be over with and tomorrow I will getmore willpower, with every day that goes by I get more willpower.

Jane and Wendy- Thanks for answering my questions.I was thinking of doing my low calorie day today b/c of yesterday.I wanted to start clean today so I ate whatever I wanted last night and of course it was all sugar.Sometimes I think that I am crazy to want to lose 5-10 lbs and I think..Ill never get there.But I have been there before and all my jeans tell me I have been there before so whats the problem? I am probably trying to talk myself out of cutting back.

I just had some blueberries and strawberries.I am hoping to have lunch in a couple of hours and then maybe some more fruit later this afternoon.

Lori,

Another component of this plan is to always put a protein with a carb. When you eat blueberries/strawberries, etc., put a protein with it. I just had a blueberry smooth with vanilla protein powder. It keeps you satisfied longer and doesn't cause your insulin to spike.
