Moment of Truth/Fall check-in Thurs - 9-29

Just popping in ...Nancy I feel for you too and Becky... gosh I feel like crap.... I think I need a transfusion.:p

I just heard from DH and he may not be in tomorrow morning like he thought he would be or even tomorrow afternoon, I may have to reschedule that appointment we have. If it turns out that he won't be home, I'll do the rotation as written and run tomorrow after Step Blast combos. That will work out better anyway, I was not looking forward to that today!!!

Back to work!!

Wendy- I am on a litte 'catch my breath' before I do the intervals twice.I just finished #10.I just wanted to tell you that I don't like splenda in my coffee either.I thought I was making coffee wrong the other day so I used plain ole sugar...and what do you know? It tasted good.SO I thought...if I don't eat as many sweets as I normally did, what is one tsp of sugar?
Lori (wish me luck:) )

Sorry that you are feeling so bad Jane. :-(
Maybe the workout will give you some energy?
I think you deserve a treat.....how about an apple smoothie??:9

I am up to my elbows in cole slaw and next I move on to corn bread. I love to bake so I don't mind "kitchen days" at all, just have A LOT to do by tomorrow!

I need to get back to work, will check back in later.
Hang in there Jane, Nancy, & Kali.
Have you noticed.....we are like women who live together and all their monthly cycles are the same???

Hey Lori, best of luck with those intervals! }(

I normally use 2 tspns of sugar in my coffee. If I can't acquire a taste for Splenda and/or don't like the affect it has on my pocketbook, I will be using reg. sugar and trying to use only 1 tspn instead of 2. :)

EEEWWWWW! Sweet and Low is ABSOLUTE WORST!!! I worked with a woman at my last job who used nothing but that in her coffee! YUCK!!!

Splenda isn't horrible. I can deal with it...just don't know if it's worth it as I don't LIKE it (in my coffee)...it's just OKAY.

It's ugly outside...getting darker by the minute...looks like rain. They were talking about thunderstorms but north of here. I hope it stays north. Rain is fine but thunder and lightening scares the bejeebers outta me!

I just put Joey down for a nap...so far so good...I'm gonna give him a few more minutes and then check on him. If he goes to sleep I will do my work out...I am thinking instead of doing a circuit w/o and xtra cardio, that I will just do an xtra long circuit instead. I'll have to check out the premixes on the sb/sjp. There will probably be something fitting for me there...Or I can just go for a Terminator! }( }( }(

What a workout!:) My arma are very tired and I am trying to get some food into my face before I go out for the afternoon.
I forgot that I had adoption papers to bring to the court house:eek: They were suppose to be there within 21 days of them being signed and today is 22:-( Im hoping they won't notice!Time just flies by so fast that swear I miss some days.
Must get go'in..
Lori:)

GUYS!!!!! I am so PSYCHED!! I bought 2 new pairs of jeans about 3 weeks ago, and they are too BIG!!! When I bought them I debated for 20 minutes in the mirror wondering if they looked too tight in the hips and thighs and now I have room!!!! And my jeans I was wearing just last spring literally fell to the floor when I put them on!!!

I am so happy. And ya know what? I am proud of myself. I NEVER thought I would be able to slim down like this ever again. I was starting to accept the fact that I was going to be short and not fat but "big" for the rest of my life. And then I found Cathe and this forum. I had Cathe taped off Fittv for months before I started doing the workouts. And even then I was still depressed because I wasn't seeing any progress. Then we got our computer and I met all you guys. And that's when my life turned around. I am so grateful for every one of you! :)

Kali,

WHAT??? WOW!!! That is too fantastic! You are moving your booty alot, aren't you? You might want to grab a bucket when you workout to collect all that sweat. Good Golly!
You know, I was putting up clothes on ebay this morning and I tried on a pair of pants that would have never ever made it passed my hits and they fit me perfectly. I was shocked too! Now I got to go workout and grab a bucket for my sweat!!! LOL!

Charlotte~~

Kali,

What a THRILL!!!! You are seeing the rewards of all your hard work!!!! :D :D Way to go!!!!!! I'm so happy for you and you should be so proud of yourself!!!!
Keep it up!!!!

Kali... I am so proud of you!!! and thrilled!!! Isn't it wonderful to see the fruits of your hard work, all those interval aerobics when you thought you'd sure die if interval 10 didn't get there fast, those endless pushups, bicep curls, etc., etc.!!! It makes it all worth it!!! I am celebrating your success with you. YAY!!!

I was feeling pretty blah today but your news lifted my spirits. Becky - I am sure once I get started on RS, my energy will come, it always does. When I feel like this, I KNOW not working out is NOT an option.

I'll be on it at 3:00 when I get off.

I'd better go and run down and get the mail, I've got to go back to work in ten minutes.

Hi Jane,

I have those days too , You KNOW you'll feel even worse if you skip exercising, but at the same time, it's the last thing you feel like doing!!! Well, RS is a good one to life your spirits then, I really had a ball with it today.
It has that "fun factor" going on for sure!:D

All the cole slaw is mixed and in the fridge.
I'm taking a break and then need to start making corn bread. I really do feel more like curling up on the couch with a book though. yawn.
So much for all the energy I had this morning. I think it left with the morning. My dd and her new stepson stopped over a little bit ago and he was sitting at the kitchen table when he (sorry about this) vomited all over the table, himself, the chair and floor! DD didn't even know he didn't feel good! She cleaned up the best she could and then took him home for a bath. Luckily he has a dr. appointment this afternoon anyway, so hopefully they'll find out what's wrong and maybe he can get some medicine. But ughhhhhhhh what a mess. Even after she cleaned......I had to wash the floor and throw out the seat cushion.....Then she had set him up on the counter to clean him up and he wet his pants...... I told her just to get him home and in the bath.....so that's what I've been doing is cleaing the kitchen!!!
Now I HAVE to get to the rest of this baking. You can't IMAGINE how many times I've washed my hands!!!!!

Hey Ladies, I need advice! I want to do a treadmill run do you think that is ok even with this darn infection ? Also after that I am going to bake the apples for my smoothie. I need calories as I have no appetite. Well not entirely true I could eat bad things as I can taste them but don't want to.

Terri

Becky-You poor thing. I may go read The time travelers wife some more after my run. It is dreary here today and I need the rest. Perfect reading day.

Terri,

I vote NO on the running!
With an infection I believe cardio is a no-no!!
Let your body heal and don't push it.
Rest is what you need now and the most I would do would be stretching.
Allow yourself the next couple of days to rest and let the medicine work.
My mom has had a tooth infection so bad that the round of antibiotics weren't enough and when she went for her root canal , they sent her home with more antibiotics and pain med for a few more days instead.
You're going to feel so much better after Saturday. Allow yourself these *rest days* and pamper yourself!

Becky-thanks for the advice even though it wasnt what I wanted to hear :) But I know you are probably right. I just hate the feeling of not working out! Guess I will finish payroll then read my book while apples are baking!

Terri

I second the advice Becky gave ( and I know you don't want to hear, I wouldn't either;) ) but you must take care of yourself now. No cardio, no weights, nothing more strenuous than CouchMax, got it?;)

Gosh, I'm sleepy...

Oooh Terri,

You'll be one happy camper eating that awesome baked apple smoothie tomorrow!!!!!!!:9 :9 :9

I think I'll read while the next 2 pans of corn bread are baking.
What are you reading? I'm reading The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd and I really am enjoying it .

Sorry I gave you news you didn't want to hear. I understand because I believe most of us here feel the same way and do feel better when we are working out, and it's hard sometimes to make yourself stop and listen to your body. So I am here to tell you, I can hear your body SCREAMING.............TERRI ! LET ME REST !!!! :p :+ :7
You must have had earplugs in your ears if you missed it! ha!

Just being goofy.......
Hope you feel better soon!!

CONGRATS KALI! That is sooooo AWESOME! :) :) :)

I did the 81 minute step & weight circuit from sb/sjp while Joey was down for his nap. Burned up 690 cals and it included ab work so I don't have to do that later! }(

Well, my water is boiling...I'm making ww noodles and cottage cheese for lunch...I'll be back!:)

Becky- I am reading The Time Travels Wife and it is very good. I will look up the book on Amazon that you are reading! Lol@the earplugs.
