Moment of Truth/Fall Check in Sunday 9/11/05

Terri-I have just the one child right now.She is 9 and I had her at a young age.We are thinking about having another and actually I haven't been on any form of birthcontrol in 4 yrs...ya think something might me wrong with someone?:eek: And it ain't me!;-) I will let you know if anything happens with DH's plans.Just when I think I could know the answer something sets him back another week.We will see.If it doesn't workout I will let you guys what it was.

Kim and Kali- On our weigh in days we get to have a treat.I try to stick to the guidleines b/c I know I can't hop back on the wagon the next day if I throw everything out the window.She can do this and still lose weight b/c she is REALLY determined through out the week.She will not stray one little bit.Not even a sip of a beer.That is why she is so motivating.Where are I am lured by a piece of chocolate sit on the table.

How is everyone else? I just finished my house work.Part of me is happy that DH has the downstairs in a mess b/c I only have 1/2 of a house to clean:7
I still haven't worked out yet.I am getting hungry so I don't know if I should have a light lunch first...or a red bull...or a little nap.This weather sucks and makes me want to crawl back into the bed!

Just got back from church. Hangin' out for a bit until Joey has to eat again and once he's done we are off to SIL's for the day...

Sounds like everyone is doing well here so that's great.

I order the salmon from vitalchoices.com. Those little 3.75 oz. cans of the skinless, boneless salmon are fabulous. Best of all, they are portion controlled, which is always an issue for me.

DH and I eat salad most nights that we don't go out to dinner. Frankly, it's a lot of work keeping the salad veggies fresh. There's a lot of shopping, washing, slicing and dicing involved, but we've been doing it for at least 6 months now and we're very committed. Would you believe? DH enjoys our little domestic chores and and thinks of it as "our time".
 
Kali-The 2nd option. Try it again and leave it there for a while even if it's wrong so that I can see what you get when you post! :)
 
Hey Kali- Just come up stairs to get my stability ball. My dh movie just went off so I will start now. I will be back in an hour to let you know! Saying a hour in abs,just sounds bad!

Kali-WOW girl you just keep amazing me. That is a lot to loose in barely over a couple months. You must feel great! Being one who has no weight to REALLY lose I find stories of such hard work and determination wonderful. I am more like Lori and only have maybe 4 vanity pounds to lose. They are stubborn and the only person who knows I have them is me. I see them when I am naked in front of a mirror. One would think as crazy as I am with my workouts they would go away! Other people think I am nuts when I tell them I haave a few to lose and roll their eyes. We are our own worse critics! My point is that when you get to 130 make sure you don't go crazy and say Ok 125 then 120 and so on. It can become an obsession just as much as over eating can.

KALI-Oh my gosh! Girl that was unreal! I do confess that I only did two seg. and the first few of the third. I did not think I was going to make it that far! My body and even my hands are shaking! You would think I was on crack! After the one segment I did my stomach started feeling light as when you used heavy weights and then lower them. I don't think I will even be able to talk tomorrow!

I started off with Seg. three and moved on to seg.one. I could not make it through seg. two. I feel really good about what I did! And will wait till later today to do SH chest.

thanks Kali for pushing me! It feels good even though I didn't totally complete it. Please no one mention this one for a long time!

Oh Kim good job. What I was going to tell you was the day after I did it I had no doms. later in the day they kicked in and lasted through yesterday. I did it on thursday I think. So be careful they will creep up on you. OK I will stop mentioning it now :)

Nancy, that's great that you and DH can share that time. I have to be very persistent with my DH about healthy eating. He gets so aggravated that I won't prepare beef (steak of any kind, hamburger, you name it) every night. I actually don't have it at all except in my occasional treat dishes like lasagne. He eats what I prepare though. Hopefully it'll pay off by keeping him a bit healthier though when he is on the road with his job, his food choices are hair-raising.x(
 
Kim, great job on the ab work!!

I'm in the process of washing my car, although I should say bus! I have an Envoy XL and that thing seems to get bigger and bigger while I'm washing it. Of course, it doesn't help that I am so anal about cleaning anything. Every speck, no matter how tiny, has to come off.


I came in for some lunch, then I'll go back out and finish it. It is a beautiful day here. 81 degrees, low humidity but so dry!! We need rain so badly.

You did it Kim!! But oh dear God, the DOMS are BAD!!! I am bumming here. I only did Seg's 1 and 2 myself yesterday so don't think twice about only doing 1&3! :) That is a tough workout! Good job.

Thanks Terri and yes I know I have to be careful. I have addictive personality disorder to begin with. I can definatley see myself in January saying ok you made it to 130 why not try to get to the right weight for your height which is 110! Don't worry I'll keep myself in check. 24 lbs. is still a long way to go!
I could not have come this far without you guys and this forum. It has made such a difference in my life. Getting fit and in shape is a bigger accomplishment to me than getting sober. And you guys are helping me more than you'll ever know! :)

Ok. Off to the store.

Jane I have a pontiac grandprix and I feel like it gets bigger every time I wash it! I know you have a time cleaning yours. My problem is that when I clean something it has to be perfect! My dh tells me that no one in the house can clean like me! I tell him that he is trying to get out of it! He seriously says that I clean it like it should be. when he cleans it is halfway!


Terri and Kali- I will probably has some DOMS tomorrow, but you won't believe how sore my ribs are already! Um! Charlotte better not ever dare that one again! Do you hear me Charlotte?!!!!



I thank you ladies for getting me back on track with exercising. Sometimes I need a little push every now and then. I still will have a time getting my eating clean again. After a couple of months of eating bad, you taste changes. It's like when I was very strict with eating for 4 years, regular drinks were yucky because diet was all that I would drink. It is vice versa now. It's not easy for me while I can't do cardio, so I think I am sabatoging myself. But thanks for all the support you give. I will do this!

Well... it's official, I believe I am senile! Today is not my big calorie day, tomorrow is!! I was looking at my bar charts on fitday and I saw higher calorie intake on Thursday and it just clicked. I think I can salvage it though. I haven't eaten my p.m. snack nor supper yet. It took those foods I had chosen for those meals off today's list and I still have a lot of room to maneuver for those two meals and bring it in within 20 to 30% deficit. I get to look forward to tomorrow now.

Missed you all. Was out in about in Maryland visiting family. Went to sister's babyshower. She is due next month. Seen the Excorism of Emily Rose with dear old brother. Hurt his arm too. Read my post. LOL!
You all sound like you are really doing some brutally tough workouts. Trying to out do each other, or what?
Maybe we should change the name of this post to Maniac Check in????

My sister is not into working out. She and I are opposites in mostly everything. She likes modern and I like country. She likes dark colors and I like preppy colors. She likes country music and all I like is Redneck Woman.
