Moment of Truth/Fall Check-in Monday Sept 26

Okay... from this morning there were some questions about why I was wanting to lose weight... let me clarify my goals a bit. When you show your progress or lack thereof, it helps to know the person's goals.

My goal is really not to lose weight per se. I like to keep my weight around 135 lbs., that is where I am most comfortable. That being said, I need to monitor my weight so I can calculate my body fat percentage which I get from a body fat analzyer. It is an Omron and while it is said these aren't 100% accurate, I used it more as a tracking tool, using it the same day every week, at the same time, first thing out of bed, in the buff, etc. when I do my weighing and measuring. I can calculate my body fat in pounds and my lean body mass in pounds using the numbers off the BF analyzer. There are things that can skew the numbers like being dehydrated etc., so I have to keep that in mind.

That being said, my goal is to add lean muscle mass and lose body fat to improve the appearance of my lower body/butt area. I have a cellulite-looking layer on my butt and use to on my upper thighs but my thighs have really improved ALOT so I feel there is hope for my butt too.:p I wear a size 8 and even a 6 in some things and yes, I think I look darn good in a pair of jeans but it is the bathing suit body I'm after or as close to it as I can get at 44 years old, two children, and years of not paying attention to what I was doing to my body.

That being said, even though I did go up in body fat this week, I keep a cumulative totals of body fat lost and muscle mass gained and since I started zigzagging the keeping up with this the first of July, I have gained 4.3 pounds in muscle mass and lost only 0.34 or a third of a pound of body fat. That means that I weigh about 4 pounds more than I did when I started this in total weight but it is muscle, not fat!!!

So what I'm trying to do is really just trade my body fat for lean muscle mass. So far the going is a little slow but nothing worth having is ever easy, so I just keep plugging along with y'all help of course.;)

Hope this clarifies my goals a little more.

DH , DD and I just hiked in the woods again. Took pictures of the many deer we saw and just had a great time out there! It's beautiful in the woods and we saw a few trees that are starting to change color!
Summer is my favorite time of the year, but Fall is very beautiful !:)

Wendy, just work out. Don't worry about doing the x2. Once is hard enough when you've got a little one. You're doing great. Did you eat good today? Did you buy some good stuff for yourself?

I'm thinking of the August 04 rotation for next month which is burning body fat and shaping the legs and glutes.
You guys have any thoughts yet on anything? It does have UB in it too. Let me know tomorrow what ya's think.

Hey Ladies...

I am thinking of joining you all in October if you decide to do another Cathe rotation together...It's too hard for me to pick one out myself :p so I'll just wait & see what you gals come up with. If I can do it w/o TOO MANY subsitutions I will give it a go with you all & see how it compares to what I am currently doing. :)

I did my food shopping...bought the usual staples for myself...nat p/b, ww bread, deli turkey/cheese, bananas, cottage cheese, milk, cereal...had a turkey sandwich when I finished unloading to get my cals up. Still 100 too low but it's close enough for me! :p

I also stocked up on veggies for Joey...squash, carrots and sweet potatoes. He will start a veggie later this week. He is going to start barely cereal tmrw now that I know the oatmeal is okay. It's so much fun giving him actual FOOD instead of just formula! :+ I am probably enjoying it more than he is! LOL :7

So I was too lazy to put on the HRM today for my w/o so I have no idea what the Cheaters BCx2 burned but I'm sure it was pretty good. My average cal burn for a w/o is between 500-600. I'm sure I hit that w/the xtra cardio too!

Well, I need to wake Joey up from his nap so that he can have his last bottle for the evening and then it's off to bed with him. :+

Hey ladies,

A little down tonight, after going to my mom's to eat supper. She had lasagna and veggies and also dessert. Well I had two pieces of cake of ice cream.x( What the heck is going on here! I am getting tired of failing at this! Everytime I try to eat clean, I end up messing things up. I know all of you are tired of hearing about my failures of eating clean. I really try so hard, but when I stress or worry over things I can't control it. I don't think I can do it until my foot gets back to normal. Does that sound like a quiter? You ladies really do help me alot and give me support. And I thank you for that.


Gosh look, I have gone and had another pitty party!:-(

Sorry to hear about your food troubles, Kim. I have them too. The food is more difficult for me than the work outs. I have been doing well in general but I too have "fallen off the wagon". You just gotta get right back on! Don't give up! Just take it one day at a time! So you eat bad one day...start the next day off right! :)
